farranpoison Posted November 15, 2010 Posted November 15, 2010 Nerfing Haku's counters when they were really hard to use effectively in the first place? What the hell, Arc Sys.
Warhound Posted November 15, 2010 Posted November 15, 2010 I would personally find 6D to be an annoyance move, since that seems to be its only use. But require the move being somewhat good in the first place.
shtkn Posted November 15, 2010 Posted November 15, 2010 those counters aer all active on frame 1 so you can IB > 6D/2D/jD vs a lot of stuff and get a good amount of damage out of it. now it just seems like it ends their pressure and you get to start your own.
HiagoX Posted November 15, 2010 Posted November 15, 2010 And let's not forget you'll get a free orb for countering. Sounds reasonable, although the reward is way smaller now.
A.X.I.S. Posted November 15, 2010 Posted November 15, 2010 Sounds like Haku mind games are gonna get intense. 4C > Kishuu > Renka or Zantetsu? Make sure to clean that mind up off the floor. All that won't matter. Why? IB, once you IB 4C everything he does becomes a risk and wasting stars to get bodied during pressure is silly. Now if your talking about combo's then its gonna do crap damage unless they fixed 4C's P1. CSII Loctests: Pachi and Mori do meth instead.
Azzal Posted November 15, 2010 Posted November 15, 2010 I really love enveryone complaining about the nerfs of their characters. "Damn Makoto gets nerfed, damn Haku has some nerfs, dam Carl got nerfs". Damn, what should we say we Tager players? Tager was shitty in CT and in CS, he was never good, and he won't be in CS2. Haku was a pain in the ass in CS (when I read that his counters were hard to use in CS, I lol hard), Carl was really strong in both versions and Makoto, well, her damage was over the top. Enjoy playing shitty characters, you'll feel like a Tager player. :p I even don't care anymore how shitty Tager will be, I love playing him, fuck the rest.
mAc Chaos Posted November 15, 2010 Posted November 15, 2010 (when I read that his counters were hard to use in CS, I lol hard) It's easy to use? Damn, Hakumen getting blown up.

mAc Chaos Posted November 15, 2010 Posted November 15, 2010 J.D is a joke right now. Why is it a joke :P
A.X.I.S. Posted November 15, 2010 Posted November 15, 2010 Tager isn't so bad in this one...I mean we can do guard crush 720's...and that will always be hype.
psycofang2 Posted November 15, 2010 Posted November 15, 2010 Haku was a pain in the ass in CS (when I read that his counters were hard to use in CS, I lol hard). so you're saying you can land hakus counters, consistently, wih no issues at all? no mistimes? always guessing or reacting correctly? woooooow. @the "nerfs" in all honesty i think it evens out, he didnt get a full star for landing a counter but he got to combo off 3/4 of them on average. now he cant combo off them but he gets a full star again. he could counter>combo>and that could potentially decide the flow of the match. now he gets people off him and an extra star, that could potentially save you, make you more dangerous in the long run.
HiagoX Posted November 15, 2010 Posted November 15, 2010 Lol @ damn Carl got some nerfs. New nerfs or the ones from yesterday, you mean?
farranpoison Posted November 15, 2010 Posted November 15, 2010 Makoto, well, her damage was over the top. Hahahahaha no. I love how everyone overestimates Makoto. In fact, Makoto and Tager players should be bros now. Low tier to even lower tier, get hype.
Azzal Posted November 15, 2010 Posted November 15, 2010 "so you're saying you can land hakus counters, consistently, wih no issues at all? no mistimes? always guessing or reacting correctly?" Meaning you want godlike counters? Be serious.... No characters has such a move, but I think that right now, Haku's counters, specially j.D is really strong enough.
ZONG_one Posted November 15, 2010 Posted November 15, 2010 New nerfs or the ones from yesterday, you mean? The ones from yesterday. But I don't recall anyone complaining, like he says. I see him say others complain too much. Then turn around and complain, himself. The irony is strong with this one.

No, he's responding to you laughing at people saying that Haku's counters were hard to pull off. Because FYI, they are. Ever wonder why pro Hakus almost never use counters?

No characters has such a move, but I think that right now, Haku's counters, specially j.D a far from strong enough. So you're saying his counters are godlike? No wonder they're never used! j.D could take a slight damage nerf, but there's nothing wrong with it in principle. You can't handle a slow counter that only hits moves that you could see coming a mile away? Maybe you should stop throwing those out. :P Actually, nevermind that about the damage, considering it's his ONLY good counter. But in CS2 where everyone else got their knees shot, it's fine to expect nerfs to bring him in line with the rest. They went completely overboard though. Edited November 15, 2010 by mAc Chaos
farranpoison Posted November 15, 2010 Posted November 15, 2010 If they're changing his counters to be like what they are, 6D needs to have some damage, at least.
HiagoX Posted November 15, 2010 Posted November 15, 2010 The ones from yesterday. But I don't recall anyone complaining, like he says. I see him say others complain too much. Then turn around and complain, himself. The irony is strong with this one. Doo doo doooo~
Vulcan422 Posted November 15, 2010 Posted November 15, 2010 (edited) Hakumen - 6A: moves slightly less forward than CS No big deal. - 6B: Damage is decreased (749 4th locke -> 710 now) Again, don't care. - 5C: has more horizontal reach. has more proration Yes. - 3C: has more recovery now. 3C - 2B works only after counter hit. Goddammit Mori. - JB: JB - Renka - Enma combo does about 3100 damage OK... - JC: has slightly more recovery I find this necessary. It was a bit too abusable before. - J2C: has faster startup now. J2C > 5C > Renka > Enma combo does about 4400 damage. (WTF?) Yes to the faster startup and WTF indeed at the combo damage. - 4C: now cancellable to special moves. not sure about the proration at this moment. Fuck yes. - 5D: damage is decreased to 1400, fewer active frames. gain 1 orb meter once you successfully counter. FUCK YES. - 6D, JD, 2D: gain 1 orb meter once you successfully counter. You can't do any followup combo after the counter. FUCK. YES. - 623A: moves less now. cancellable to other specials now Madness I say! - Enma (623A - A): you can still do CS Enma combo. has more proration now. Nice but don't care about proration. - Hotaru: looks like you can combo into Enma after this hits. (not confirmed) Nice. - Tsubaki: Slide down no matter of air or ground hit. you can do followup combo at the corner. An interesting change. - Renka: 2nd hit does wall-bounce once hit. 120% proration of the 1st hit is gone. As it always should have been. Opinions in bold. Edited November 15, 2010 by Vulcan422

Meaning you want godlike counters? Be serious.... No characters has such a move, but I think that right now, Haku's counters, specially j.D a far from strong enough. yet it requires good timing. i didnt say anything about gdlk counters. you lol'd at them being hard to use, so i wondered do you think using his drive is easy? because its not that simple. 5D and jD simply switched places 1 became useful while the other waned in usefulness. i actually think his counters will be somewhat stronger if this sticks, it gets ppl off you, gives a star, and puts them in (if you are prepared for it) a favorable position.
Azzal Posted November 15, 2010 Posted November 15, 2010 Well maybe, I don't play him at all, I just noticed that j.D pisses me off. :p I prefered the CT j.D. (and the CT Haku :D) @Axis: yeah, i'll be hype. But he will still have issues dealing with big rushdown characters and zoners...He doesn't have new tools to deal with it.
