Urichinan Posted July 29, 2012 Posted July 29, 2012 You know, the title of this game REALLY looks like they were aiming to name it "Under Night Inverse" and REALLY fucked up the romanization. IIRC that's indeed the name, and that's what happened.
Tae Seong Kim Posted July 29, 2012 Posted July 29, 2012 I think it sounds like a medical term or slang lol!
Hecatom Posted July 30, 2012 Author Posted July 30, 2012 IIRC that's indeed the name, and that's what happened. i actually think that its on purpouse, you know that the japanese like to play with the meaning of the words, like that you can write something with the kanjis but you can also read it in other way or that it has a complete different meaning, so im pretty sure that they are very aware of what they did, and it would make sense in the context of the background story of the game
Linear04 Posted July 30, 2012 Posted July 30, 2012 it was originally under night inverse but they thought inbirth looked cooler because theyre japs that dont know shit bout english
SoWL Posted July 30, 2012 Posted July 30, 2012 it was originally under night inverse but they thought inbirth looked cooler because theyre japs that dont know shit bout english What does choosing between two meaningless words have to do with English? Still no solid info on Seth on the wiki, that makes me sad. Does anyone know any other sources of loketest stuff?
caiooa Posted August 5, 2012 Posted August 5, 2012 thank godness someone recorded the whole thing. I watched live just the last 6 matches http://pt-br.twitch.tv/kilvear/b/327517859
SoWL Posted August 5, 2012 Posted August 5, 2012 (edited) And here I was wondering how to spend the rest of my evening. Gotta watch the whole thing now and report on random stuff I see. - Merkava has a move that spawns some worm-like creatures that slowly crawl towards the opponent. Great oki tool. - Yuzu's "Gems" mark the A, B and C buttons which light up after performing some moves. Still difficult to make out how it works, but it seems to link into different moves depending on the icon's color, and different moves give you different icons to choose from. - Vatista can shoot lasers with her [6]4 move. One of the move's versions shoots it diagonally upward. Edited August 5, 2012 by SoWL
caiooa Posted August 5, 2012 Posted August 5, 2012 nero snakes that attack like arakune. I liked it. But they seems too slow =/
MarkusArx Posted August 6, 2012 Posted August 6, 2012 Here's the Youtube Link for the UNiB SBO Tournament. In case some people (like me) can't use stream sites due to shit-tier laptops. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BUGLWGH7VPI&feature=g-all-c
Agni Posted August 6, 2012 Posted August 6, 2012 Anyone know the purpose of that bar that appears when comboing? Is it a juggle bar (it does look like you can tech only after it's depleted).
SolxBaiken Posted August 6, 2012 Posted August 6, 2012 (edited) Congrats you answered your own question! :D Combo timers are almost always presented for newer, less experienced players, giving them an indication of when they should be doing their recovery and such. Something to make the game feel more "user friendly". I like that the bar shows the levels of each prior hit, will make for some good data recording. EDIT: Oh yeah, also for "invalid" combos Edited August 6, 2012 by SolxBaiken
Kyosuke Kagami Posted August 6, 2012 Posted August 6, 2012 (edited) >yuzuriha >dumb i found mai waifu been interested in her since the beginning though Edited August 6, 2012 by Kyosuke Kagami
Agni Posted August 6, 2012 Posted August 6, 2012 I'm thinking maining either Linne or Vatista. Or maybe Gordeau...or Yuzu...dammit, this game has one kick-ass cast!
xlolxlolx Posted August 6, 2012 Posted August 6, 2012 unreal black thing is very amusing for me so ill proly main him
MarkusArx Posted August 6, 2012 Posted August 6, 2012 (edited) Yuzuriha is definite after all the footage in there for her. She seems really easy to use so far (as does Linne and Merkava). Meaning that maybe Gordeau is kinda hard to use? No one used him in the pre-release tourney footage, so...? Seth seems pretty disadvantaged from the looks of his shorter(-est?) ranged normals compared to the wide swings everyone else has. But he looks fun, importantly. Edited August 6, 2012 by MarkusArx spelling errors, hurr
Agni Posted August 6, 2012 Posted August 6, 2012 I am STILL trying to decipher the metric fuckton of English that's in this game....good god, I've seen Engrish before but this is on a whole 'nother level.
fifty-four Posted August 6, 2012 Posted August 6, 2012 Here's the Youtube Link for the UNiB SBO Tournament. In case some people (like me) can't use stream sites due to shit-tier laptops. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BUGLWGH7VPI&feature=g-all-c Can someone explain to me why it looks like they're playing in an abandoned arcade and coming in by twos? From what I see they have plenty of chairs close by, why aren't they using them?
xlolxlolx Posted August 7, 2012 Posted August 7, 2012 well chances are this wasnt an official event and they proly asked sbo staff for a spot to promote the game :o
SolxBaiken Posted August 7, 2012 Posted August 7, 2012 I don't see why it matters lol, but yeah it was a special event held on a special stage. The real question should be; why is this being held outside. (lol)
Thino Posted August 7, 2012 Posted August 7, 2012 Im actually interested in many characters just like with Melty Yuzuhira, Unreal black thing and Vatista mainly but also Linne
Starlight777 Posted August 7, 2012 Posted August 7, 2012 I'm interested in Carmine, Vatista and Hilda if she's more than just a boss.
Setsuna Posted August 7, 2012 Posted August 7, 2012 I was tore between Linne and Yuzuriha but I didn't know how Yuzuriha really played until I saw the SBO footage, I think I may lean more to Yuzuriha as my main. Game still doesn't have a solid release so who knows my mind could change lol
iw2ma Posted August 7, 2012 Posted August 7, 2012 Linne was the original character i was looking forward too but now im looking at Linne, Seth, Yuzuriha, Carmine and Gordeau
