And I'll probably get the pack with UDON Tasky. All the costumes in it look good and they're characters I may actually use. Really like STARS Wesker too.

Besides that design was based off the Sparda design to begin with in the original game. Honestly I would've preferred Dante having a DMC1, 2, or 4 alt :\ Since Vergil has limited options. An original design could've been nice.

He says "And you thought Cable wasn't in this game." And Hsien-Ko has a special line against another Hsien-Ko. Too bad a Hsien-ko mirror match has never actually happened in the history of MvC3. The art team based "Corrupted Vergil" on the "Sparda" look (obviously) and at one point featured a different Devil Trigger. But I digress, the point is seeing how they're both "Sparda" it's not a huge bend for them to have the same Devil Trigger. You call it laziness, I say it's a creative middle ground, cause if he did appear as Nelo Angelo I would be expecting a different moveset, which is just too much work for a costume, they'd need to have an "EX" Vergil. Also that's a nice easter egg for Deadpool, lol x.x (Zero needs something like that too :3) When was there a DMC2? I refuse to believe that exists It's funny people give DMC2 so much crap when it started a couple of traditions. Was it perfect? Hell no! Was it so abysmal to the point to deny it's existence? Nope.

Nelo Angelo and Vergil have always preformed differently, to ignore that is just a disservice to both the company and fans, thus I'm ok with this middle ground that was reached. X has actually wielded Zero's sword before, and they do share similar abilities (air dash, buster) so it's justified. Mei-Ling doesn't really have any abilities outside of merging with her sister, also it comes down to a general lack of viable options for her. Gloria is fitting because that's all it was, a disguise, she was shown to have some dagger abilities but this was most likely due to resourcefulness due to giving up Sparda (sword) to show her faith to the Order. But again, this isn't leading anywhere productive so I'm gonna stop here. I think Capcom's excuse will be: "Nelo Angelo played like Dante in DMC3, so we're just going to use Sparda's model because it's Vergil" What?

Shining Aquas Posted November 18, 2011 Posted November 18, 2011 Man, I was REALLY hoping they might have X as a separate character in the future, but thanks to that alt skin any chance of that happening is gone. It's still cool, but it leaves with me a fucking bitter taste. Maybe Megaman classic in the future? That's the only hope I've got at this point.
