Haven Posted January 14, 2012 Posted January 14, 2012 Eh, I like watching Jin personally, but then again I became too busy to keep up with Extend during the middle of the Fall semester, so it probably seems less redundant to me.
Solex Posted January 14, 2012 Posted January 14, 2012 Converting over from CS2 to CS:EX is not that bad, as much as I hate to go back to CS2 because that's all I have ATM, I can easily get back into the swing of things playing EX for a bit. But I will say this, watching Jin and playing him are 2 different things, watching may be boring but playing him is fun. wait really...damn i'm having a lot of trouble going from cs2 to cse and i own it lol, jin has to constantly worry about which confirms are the right and best choice. like the ch 5c>6b, ch 5c>6c, ch 5c>2d, or 5c>5d you only want to pick the second one if you are at the right range near the corner and the confirms off of a ch j.c sure you can easy mode it a lot of the times but every time i feel like i coulda got more. i get that feeling a lot when i play cse jin. then again ive been studying for finals week so i haven't been playing that much side note: i love that 2a can be canceled into throw now it makes it so much easier to TRM people. EDIT: holy shit moi that avatar

EDIT: holy shit moi that avatar Yeah, I can get with the program of Playing Extend with 5 minutes of practice. I can do practical combos and get good damage once I get a few games in. The changes to me aren't that extreme to me at least. There was a point where I thought so but after playing a few games at FF then going back to CS2, then doing casuals on CSE 2 days after playing CS2, I felt fine.
Jourdal Posted January 14, 2012 Posted January 14, 2012 Dat avy indeed....feel like a stranger with my out of place yet awesome MB avatar
Moy_X7 Posted January 14, 2012 Posted January 14, 2012 Gotta thank Murki for it, all I did was crop and re-size it lol.
Moy_X7 Posted January 14, 2012 Posted January 14, 2012 I didn't ask him but I'm assuming he used Photoshop, he recolored this image.
Xx_Hoshi_xX Posted January 14, 2012 Posted January 14, 2012 Man, I get bored really fast watching Jin match videos nowadays, including Ren's. It has come to the point where I've seen most of everything that can be done by Jin, the rest just depends on how solid the player is. This. Jin is my main but he was become dull while everyone is looking stylish lol when I saw that litchi combo vid Jourdal uploaded I was like "damn!" It made me want to pick up litchi... and I don't even like the bitch. Yet, when I saw jin's I thought "meh, that's cool." Tetsu... where are you!
Jourdal Posted January 14, 2012 Posted January 14, 2012 I think he plateaued kinda...ragna and some of the others had some interesting new tricks that we saw post JP console launch. Jin...not so much lol. Tetsu is off rocking an 800+ PSR Tao, while maintaining 777 (lol) with jin. Gagagas psr is like 814...i really wanna see his jin but the times he showed up he's been valk.
Xx_Hoshi_xX Posted January 14, 2012 Posted January 14, 2012 All we can do is wait for him to show up. When I first saw him using valk I thought we lost another one...
Moy_X7 Posted January 14, 2012 Posted January 14, 2012 while maintaining 777 (lol) with jin. Bwahaha, I'm gonna do the same thing. Get Jin to 700 PSR or something and then just play Platinum. From then I'll just play player matches with both Jin and Platinum according to my opponent.
kirk Posted January 15, 2012 Posted January 15, 2012 while maintaining 777 (lol) with jin. 778 nao :[

Lucien Posted January 16, 2012 Posted January 16, 2012 (edited) Mariwo singlehandedly proved that Ragna's air game is still free to j.C Edited January 16, 2012 by Lucien
Yuushiro Posted January 16, 2012 Author Posted January 16, 2012 not really, that now it's harder to combo off it IMO...
Lucien Posted January 16, 2012 Posted January 16, 2012 not really, that now it's harder to combo off it IMO... Mariwo had no problems comboing off of it. On paper, j.C seems worse than it actually is, just like the rest of CSX Jin.
eQualz Posted January 16, 2012 Posted January 16, 2012 Agreed. Now if I look back at CS1 and 2 j.C had wayyy too much hit stun on counter hit. It's still possible to dash 5C > air dash combo and when near corner you can even follow up with 6C. Not as easy mode as before but better than nothing. I'm still mad at j.B though.
Lucien Posted January 17, 2012 Posted January 17, 2012 I'm still mad at j.B though. This. Gonna take some getting used to, I made 5B > 5C > j.B combos a must use on Tager...

This is all true, and crazy enough, you can still do j.C (CH) 2D in Extend, it's just that you have to be ridiculously low to the ground. Also to kill the question before it comes up, it was red, I did it at FF and was shocked that it worked but the chance of it happening often is slim to none because of how low you have to be when you connect with j.C.

eQualz Posted January 17, 2012 Posted January 17, 2012 Speaking of which I always try to hit j.C very low. Good thing I was never a fan of CH j.C > 2D. Even back then I would go with j.C > dash 5C air dash stuff for style reasons. If I see that it was too high I go either with land > j.A or j.C depending on height and range.
Jourdal Posted January 19, 2012 Posted January 19, 2012 (edited) Eruo jin and various others http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=t96C5x2VKMQ First time seeing the number 3 ranked jin http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QZGG6XJbwUs#t=18m18s Edited January 19, 2012 by Jourdal
Lucien Posted January 19, 2012 Posted January 19, 2012 3C CH > 2B > 5C > sj.2C > j.D > stuff > Sekkajin > d.3C > DP B > 6A > 214A x3 I LOVE THAT 214A OKI!
Jourdal Posted January 19, 2012 Posted January 19, 2012 Lol according to his profile...the number 3 ranked jin is 15....the fuck lol. They're were at least 4 jins there. Eruo did well in these matches...makes up for his blow ups i uploaded before lol. Seems all the jins are in west japan or something because I'm not seeing them elswhere.
LunaKage Posted January 19, 2012 Posted January 19, 2012 Hey Jins, I got a quick message for you guys: Even though all of your other combos are easy, I have a lot of respect for those of you who can consistently do j.D > Airdash > j.2C > etc. It's gotta be the most wonky and inconsistent piece of shit I've ever had to deal with in a combo.
