[CSE-CP] Jin General Thread "Jin it to win it... again"

You guys nuts? Jin has so many good colors. I don't understand why people stick with one. There are default, red, white, black, yellow, purple, brown, zombie, shadow, ky, CT yellow and the most recent his DLC green/red Menace is talking about.

Yeah I agree, his standard palettes are pretty great for the most part imo lol. Tho brown, ky kiske, and green/red are ma faves :v:

I don't like his other colors, they look too anime-y. White Jin is the only one that looks like it could work, brownish/blackish hair with a white uniform with gold decorations. Now if they bring back CT DLC Black with a hint of gold. and silver hair then we might work something out.

well jyousa stole the pink palette from me... use the red one, or the regular. sadly jin doesn't have that many nice colors

I've been the original white Jin since the leaked arcade version of CS. Get at me impostors lol.

Jyosua has a tendency to use your own palette against you to spite you (lol). He plays white Jin when I played him but I don't give him the satisfaction of using my Jin against him lol.

Rofl, it's actually whatever palette I feel like that day. I rotate between White, Pink, Ky, and Light Blue.

...you guys make it seem like colors are so important...you should have MM with someone who wants the same color and the loser never gets to pick the color again.

sidenote what combo so you guys do off of ch 623c i usually go for airdash variant if they can be 3c 214c'd and if they cant i do 623c>5c>2c>SJC>j.2c>j.c>j.d>3c>214c but i feel like i could be doing better

If this were the case, I would play so on point, my opponent would think I was Ren/Tetsu or some shit like that; I couldn't see myself not playing a Yellow Pallet Jin unless I was mad salty, LOL!

I usually go for that same combo in/near the corner, midscreen I'll just follow up with:

d.5B > 5C > sj.D > 5B > 3C > 214x or set up a reset, there's not a whole lot of room to combo off of a CH 623C.

Yo Arcsys, you can go ahead and keep those extra 4 advantage frames on 2D. I'm having more fun Guard Breaking anyways :D

New with Jin ... got some question with this combo on crouch-er -> 5B(2hit)>5c>6c>2d>j.2c>j.c>665b(2hit)>5c>seka .... why the heck, the combo always drop on Seka before they got launched?

Omit the 2nd 5B and it will work, otherwise just do 66 6B > 5B > 5C > Sekkajin and see if that works.

Just do 5B > 5C > Sekka > 5C > 2C > 2D

hmm... got some nice piece of info (if it wasn't already something conventional to begin with).

Found out an OS to bait gold bursts. Some characters you might not want to try this on often because of their dps and/or counters: hakumen, ragna, litchi with staff, etc.

however, characters like arakune, staffless litchi, platinum without bat and carl who can't do much of anything if they don't have meter are perfect to use this on repeatedly.

the OS: do 2a then quickly press 4B+C. If they opponent decides to gold burst on wake up (it can also work if you try to rush them down and they throw out a gold burst) your 2a will whiff and you'll barrier guard the burst. However if they decide not to do this 2a< 5b will come out instead allowing you to continue pressure. it's pretty nice so i would advice anyone to give it a try in training to see for yourselves.

Is that second 5B one hit or two? I certainly can't seem to do a microdash after landing the j.C without dropping the combo, but it looks as though with enough practice I could get it to work without a microdash and 1 hit on 5B.

That's very strange... you'll barrier guard despite pressing B+C and not A+B?

uhhh its sorta like the 0 frame buffer dash thing that made boodedge's 22c>dash 5a 0 frame link and jin's ch 623c>dash 5c but it feels a little easier i guess?

thats not really how the OS works.....what youre doing is holding a then hold b nothing to do with c bro and this is like universal so even tager can do it lol

So the second 5B is supposed to be 2 hits? In that case, why don't you throw in a 2B between 5B and 5C? Would the proration break the combo?

I use the same thing for roll punishes with 2A. Since I don't have the reflexes to hit-confirm 2A, I just do 2A+C. 2A on whiff does nothing, 2A automtically confirms into 5C that way. Gotta love the BB buffer system lol.
