pktazn Posted November 20, 2012 Author Posted November 20, 2012 Yup, I'm all for that. I don't want to mess up the layout, though I think I have an idea of where you'd place it, so I'll leave it to you. I'll go figure out what picture to use (until Kuru's done since his borders are much nicer than mine xD) and some silly saying like I always do. And now we all play the waiting game for videos so we can all excitedly talk about CP Tsubawki some more.
Errol Posted November 20, 2012 Posted November 20, 2012 I'm just saying, sometimes I like to go look at videos from the best of the best, and that's Konan. Kuresu being somewhere behind, and everyone else being quite a bit below that. You can think of it the same way as why you would have sections for vs different characters. It's for studying. I just want to watch a bunch of konan's videos and see how he handles things, it doesn't even have to be against specific characters.
Errol Posted November 20, 2012 Posted November 20, 2012 You should have a separate section for Konan Also I don't know what I was doing posting this here, it has nothing to do with gameplay, someone should move it...
Kiba Posted November 20, 2012 Posted November 20, 2012 Dw I moved it lol. I'll need the space in the video thread, sorry! Alright I'm on it. I understand what you mean Errol. I don't want to mess up the layout, though I think I have an idea of where you'd place it, so I'll leave it to you. Oh pfft it would be no problem, I doubt you would anyway.
pktazn Posted November 20, 2012 Author Posted November 20, 2012 Aghghah you got to it already aha. I was wondering though... do we really need the table of contents? Or maybe we can take out all the character's names underneath the JPN section since I think it makes the first post a bit too long to actually get to the videos once we start getting them in imo. Thanks for all the work btw Keebs~ It all looks good. :D WE ARE READY.
Kiba Posted November 21, 2012 Posted November 21, 2012 I was thinking the same thing, btw what table of contents are you referring to? Oh also, in the combo thread I'm kinda thinking of putting 3,4 and 5 charge combos together because as I see from the previous thread, there is not a lot of them, they took up a lot of space and usually we wouldn't be using that many charges in a single combo anyway, on a practical basis anyway. It's all good PK. As I say though if you don't like anything and want something in your favour feel free to change it.
Errol Posted November 23, 2012 Posted November 23, 2012 Gomikuzu Makoto VS Joubutsu http://www.nicovideo.jp/watch/sm19423019 http://www.nicovideo.jp/watch/sm19423292 http://www.nicovideo.jp/watch/sm19423614 http://www.youtube.com/playlist?list...e_3Mx0wY1ibQ_e Gomikuzu is back, but he ditched us.
Kiba Posted November 23, 2012 Posted November 23, 2012 Yea I was gonna come on to mention the same thing. Tsubaki > Ragna > Makoto. A shame really since his Tsubaki was good.
GenoWhirl Posted November 24, 2012 Posted November 24, 2012 Man that tsubaki in the latest video post is sooo good, she just destroys everything, 22D > 6C > j.D > j.C is hella hype lol *jumps on tsubaki bandwagon*
LunarSelenia Posted November 28, 2012 Posted November 28, 2012 So I haven't been looking up anything for CP for the last couple months. Until this week. Holy cow, lots to look forward too as far as her changes go. Projectile, a flashy distortion, new colors...ish...gameplay looks hype. I want new CP Tsubaki. And I'll probably try and play Izayoi too :3 Also I'm back. Been hanging out at the Amane boards yesterday but I'll try and post here more.
LunarSelenia Posted November 29, 2012 Posted November 29, 2012 Thank you thank you, but lets keep this place on topic yes? Don't want anyone to get in trouble here. So seems like Tsubaki has a projectile now? Someone care to explain to me if its actually useful or being used effectively in matches? Does it cost charge?
Velvien Posted November 29, 2012 Posted November 29, 2012 It has two versions: [4]6C (which doesn't quite go across the screen) and [4]6D, which seems to go across the screen. The latter can be followed with 236D to create an effect akin to j.236D > j.214D. The latter's also quite useful in a few combos
ThunderboltZ28 Posted November 29, 2012 Posted November 29, 2012 Welcome back, Lunar. Is 22D still unblockable? I've only seen it used a couple of times and it looked like it was blocked. Unless they're releasing it early or it wasn't the D version at all. Sometimes it hard to tell on little Youtube videos.
Kiba Posted November 29, 2012 Posted November 29, 2012 22D is no longer unblockable, though apparently it guard breaks in mugen.
Errol Posted November 29, 2012 Posted November 29, 2012 22D is no longer unblockable. It guard breaks in mugen mode apparently though. To be specific, it guard breaks if the opponent doesn't barrier. And I think it doesn't eat barrier gauge either.
LunarSelenia Posted November 29, 2012 Posted November 29, 2012 22D is no longer unblockable, though apparently it guard breaks in mugen. Awww this makes me sad. No more Unblockable fakeouts? also I saw a 22x do a wallbounce. CH I'm assuming?
ThunderboltZ28 Posted November 29, 2012 Posted November 29, 2012 So it guard breaks only in Mugen when the opponent doesn't barrier block, or it guard breaks in or out of Mugen when the opponent doesn't barrier block?
Kiba Posted November 29, 2012 Posted November 29, 2012 Awww this makes me sad. No more Unblockable fakeouts? also I saw a 22x do a wallbounce. CH I'm assuming? Unfortunately not, heh. Yea, 22D causes a wallbounce on CH (22D still wallbounces in the corner on normal hit). 22B staggers on CH. So it guard breaks only in Mugen when the opponent doesn't barrier block, or it guard breaks in or out of Mugen when the opponent doesn't barrier block? Only guard breaks in mugen when opponent doesn't barrier block.
Errol Posted November 29, 2012 Posted November 29, 2012 Mugen only. Also of note. I think kuresu got a 2kish combo off CH 22B. Another step up from CSEX. Also will work better in the corner than in CSEX. Tho I think it's slower than 22a unfortunately.
ThunderboltZ28 Posted November 29, 2012 Posted November 29, 2012 Aww. That is kinda lame. Does it do anything out of Mugen?
LunarSelenia Posted November 29, 2012 Posted November 29, 2012 So is Tsubaki similar to EX in the fact that she absolutely needs charge to break 2k average? Then again with OD at least that gives a somewhat temporary boost.
Errol Posted November 29, 2012 Posted November 29, 2012 22D is a very strong starter. It fatal counters on max charge. It may or may not have frame advantage when charged. We'll have to see how things go. Damage has gone up some even without charge. The kuresu videos are a good watch for seeing some of what is diff, and what combos will likely be used.
Daedron Posted November 29, 2012 Posted November 29, 2012 Damage levels without charge seem slightly higher, but not as good as CS2. There's an actual choice in the amount of damage you want to dish out to your opponent this time around though, since an air combo ender still allows you to keep up pressure, the only difference is the amount of damage and charge you can get for the different enders. Speaking for chargeless combos the following is true: Combo that ends in an air ender: Extra damage but no charge gain. Combo that ends in ground ender: Less damage but 1 charge gained (thanks to the ground ender giving us a quick boost when we tap 5D after it). I'm not too sure if the air ender can be done off of every starter (requires DP whiff? Or I think I saw 214B working too at some point against a grounded target), but I guess if you're already sitting on a bunch of charge but don't want to spend it yet then going for an air ender seems to be better.
