Zio_IV Posted October 29, 2012 Posted October 29, 2012 Uh, where the heck did my last post go? It doesn't even show up in my profile anywhere. Don't tell me it was deleted... Anyway, any news on those new character themes, or is that something we'll probably get with the arcade release?
ElegantShadow Posted October 29, 2012 Posted October 29, 2012 We likely won't get to hear the new character themes and remixes until the arcade release like you said, although you can find Bullets theme on Youtude. [i'd link it on here, but I'm not sure if I can] Hope this helps. :D

The guy who posted the video said it was the style he though would best suit her, but he doesn't properly communicate that it's just his suggestion and not the real theme though. The themes for Bullet and Azrael can be heard in the Bururaji BuruFes 2012 videos. All the other new themes are not going to be heard until the game is released. Edited October 29, 2012 by Tokkan

Ah! thanks for correcting me. :D Though it is a shame that we won't be hearing all the themes until... late November/early December. :l
NeoStrayCat Posted October 30, 2012 Posted October 30, 2012 It appears so, we all know we have to play the waiting game, but once its out, its time to start rockin to the remixes, lol.
TPPR10 Posted October 30, 2012 Posted October 30, 2012 This might be spectulation unless any official word has been said and I didn't hear it, but I am guessing that Overdrives might also affect some, if not all, Distortion Drives. I am guessing this, as we know that Ragna's Devoured By Darkness returns to it's former glory in OD, but the Nu and Mu screenshots also seem to point out that their DD get better during OD.
Kyosuke Kagami Posted October 30, 2012 Posted October 30, 2012 It wouldn't make sense for some characters. I mean, Rachel's and Valky's ODs only affect their Drives, but I don't see how they'd also buff their distortions (MAYBE Tempest Dahlia, making it like her Unl. Version). It would be interesting, though, if OD makes chars gain access to their Unl distortions (like Valky getting his Wölf shit you could only use while Unlimited), but I bet that's not happening
SolxBaiken Posted October 30, 2012 Posted October 30, 2012 No it's true, Over Drive enhances Distortion Drive attacks (only by making them stronger I believe), it even changes the background color
Zuranamee Posted October 30, 2012 Posted October 30, 2012 Screenshots show Nu's OD affects her distortions, making them like their unlimited versions. Easiest to see on the Calamity Sword shots.
TPPR10 Posted October 30, 2012 Posted October 30, 2012 I think atleast they might have some vivual diffrence for DD in OD aside of damage boost(the tendrils in Devoured by Darkness doesn't appear if not in OD and Wisdom of the Divines seem to have second batch of light spears thrown at the opponent during OD)

It was something that it was said during one of the 1st interviews, that the OD would affect some moves/DD but that in the 1st and 2nd local test build that feature was not available yet.

Wait, didn't they also say that OD gives access to new Distortion drives as well? Or am I mistaken?
Hecatom Posted October 31, 2012 Posted October 31, 2012 (edited) I don't remember that. I only remember that it could change properties on Drives/Moves/Distortion Drives, besides granting the known stuff by that moment, but that neither of those would be present on the 1st 2 local tests Edited October 31, 2012 by Hecatom
Tokkan Posted October 31, 2012 Posted October 31, 2012 Wait, didn't they also say that OD gives access to new Distortion drives as well? Or am I mistaken? No, but IIRC someone did a weird translation for a Famitsu article that implied Hazama's Orochi Burensou (his new DD) was only available during OD when in fact it actually only stated that OD makes it stronger. This person also called it "Ohebi Burensou". Orochi Burensou does have a restriction on use, but it's not "only during OD". It's a follow up to Jasetsu/Jakatsu.
Assassin Cross Posted October 31, 2012 Posted October 31, 2012 By late november release, do they mean arcade release or international console release? Is there a difference between loketests and arcade release? O.o Sorry noob here. :S
MetalMaelstrom Posted October 31, 2012 Posted October 31, 2012 Pretty much definitely an arcade release, and a NESiCA one at that. I pray for a non-NESiCA release sometime before the, for now, unannounced console release.
SolxBaiken Posted October 31, 2012 Posted October 31, 2012 Yes the Nov date is aimed at the NESiCA arcade release, but seeing how CS2 got a non-NESiCA ver and AC+R isn't even on a NESiCA cabinet at all, I say there's good chance for a regular release (maybe Ring Edge 2 like AC+R) for CP. Also location test are just limited, timed releases where they test out the waters to see how the game operates and get feedback from consumers on how the game is shaping up.

Not sure I understand what you're thinking. NESiCAxLive cabinets are Taito Type X2 cabinets that connect to the internet. Any non-NESiCA version would be for Taito Type X2, since the game is already optimised for that arcade board.
MetalMaelstrom Posted November 2, 2012 Posted November 2, 2012 Just a quick couple of questions: one since we do know the game is releasing in November, do we know what day? Also, in regards to astral conditions, if you attempt an astral, will it just deplete your burst (i.e., it will regenerate still) or does it take it away from you entirely?

I believe November is as specific as anyone's heard, dunno about astral. I'd guess it would still regen since nothing I've read says otherwise.

About the Astral conditions, this Famitsu article mentions the conditions for using an Astral Heat as "Match Point Round, Opponent at <35% Health, Heat Gauge at 100%" with no mention of Burst. They may or may not have removed the Burst requirement.
