I just love Kagura sword, it seems slow (i think it is actually) and I would love if he is is like footsies - slow mixups character. I would sincerely love if they give him good normals, I mean charge character have generally good normals (Guile, Bison, Vega, Balrog, even Heidern from KOF). Guile is the best exemple, good pokes that cover every situation and not slow. From what I have seen (very short videos) it is promising.

I am afraid of what Terumi could do, RC, Crush trigger, Super, Counter Assault more than everyone in the game and he has a super for every situation even in the air? That might be scary but he won't that broken. I think his damage w/o super and his comboability won't be that great.

That should be illegal.

Should probably realize that it requires as good an overdrive as you can get (i.e., you're really low on health and you probably should've just used a burst), a good starter, and 100 meter.

Not a realistic combo.

Exactly. Though mad props to anyone who manages to pull this off during an actual match.

Opponent would be sooo pissed off, lmao

I think he lives up to his trollish reputation quite well this installment.

I can see it being useful if you couldn't burst until after you took all of that damage. Ie: you just ate a overdrive combo yourself, you messed up and got hit by a rogue shippu, or you just now got your burst back ether by co-incidence or by playing runaway (aka Hazama playing defensively.)

It's still situational as all get out though, but it's still good to have in your back pocket just in case situation does come to pass, and you want to snatch victory from the jaws of defeat in a most trolltastic way.

Only because this is the era of moe anime. I have a feeling either the character with the most popular VA or the cutest character is going to take this vote.

Azrael is the least popular character huh. Some great taste people have. Guess the fucking Magic loli, "Mr. Durrrimatroll", Stripper Squirrel, Boobie Lady, female gundams, and Tsubaki in her what-the-fuck-is-that-outfit-supposed-to-be are all more popular then an actual badass character. What a sad world this is.

There is no way that Azrael could be last. Who else here can do three consecutive divekicks meterless? No one else has the extreme manliness required for the job.

This is hardly the place to discuss character personalities to this degree. Though I don't care for discussions about turning bland characters into generic ones, the best place for this conversation to continue, if it does so, is Zepp.

My ability to re-use other people's ideas would be much better suited for the role of a TV producer, where you can air crime dramas 24/7 and still make millions.

Anyways, back on topic. I don't know if this has really been discussed yet, but what do you guys think the effectiveness of a charge char like Kagura would be in a fast game like BB? Every time I think about charging moves in neutral I see characters with mobility like Tao and Valk giving him fits. I know there's been a lot about Terumi but have we seen Kagura like...actually fight anyone yet to see how this would work?

I was under the impression that the charges would take place during stances, and if that is indeed the case, a different move will prolly be available in said stance to counter some rush in attempts.

Even if that is not the case I wonder if Kagura could take his defensive stances to buffer his charge attacks, then CANCEL the stance and execute the attack...

Whatever the case is I imagine the devs accounted for the game's speed while making this character.

Is there any news on Yuki Terumi at the moment? He's pretty much the only new character I'm hype for right now. I can finally use a REAL KICKING character!

Lately no, don't expect anything more until console release unless something pops up at TGS.

When I first saw Valk use Sturm Wolf I was hoping he'd be a kicking character like Saki from AH3, because lightning fast kicks are always cool. Didn't dig the whole wolf mode thing and not being able to run though. Plus his kicks are slow...

Valkenhayn is heavier and slower than I would want him to be. No run is kinda odd for me in Blazblue and the wolf thing made everything too complicated for me. Not what I was looking for.

I get the vibe that this is how a lot of people feel about Valk. He has a great design and I respect them trying to do something unique with his play style, but I don't think it really panned out the way they were hoping.

I hope so, otherwise Tao will be a bigger pain in the ass than she already is.

Wasn't the whole point of wolf form the mobility? When playing Valk, I always thought of his wolf walk forward as his dash. Also he's got tons of fun stuff that you can do with his command dash in wolf mode, like: w.9C->5D. which turns him into back to normal mid command dash and keeps his momentum for some awesome jump in stuff (and it barely costs any wolf gauge to do.)

Is that even possible?

If you play Tager and Makoto, then YES.

I am thinking it will be the same case with Kagura, he will most likely be a slower character.

The macthes aren't unwinnable, but they sure are annoying. And they made Tao so derp in this version, so that's probably not going to help.

Posted

Most of my wins against Tao come from escaping her pressure and then pinning her down. I almost never get a hit in neutral thanks to Makoto's short reach.

If it's lagging though...drive into A,B, or C cancel becomes near impossible to react to...so I'm forced to mash wildly.

Posted

Yeah, f**k lag with Makoto.

I still find Noel a bit more annoying than Tao though, but for an entirely different reason- there's no variety the entire match. Same strategy every time. What did they change to Noel's Drive in CP? Tone down the invulnerability, damage, speed, or all?

When you're Makoto, every character is annoying. Except for Tsubaki and maybe Tager.

I like the challenge though.
