AMB Bakery Posted September 12, 2013 Posted September 12, 2013 (edited) You know how there's an icon for ice, lightning, and fire respectively? If you look really close, you'll see that the lightning icon is greyed out in that image. The other obvious giveaway is that lightning visual effect in that big blue column of lightning and if you look even closer you can see Hazama's electrocuted-state sprite. It seems pretty apparent that it's some kind of special or at least drive move based on the pose she is doing (unless you think her idle stance might look like that ~_~). The beam looks like the blue Tager laser super, but vertical instead. This could be her second DD (the pic is just taken after the superflash) with Tager in the sky. Although that wouldn't explain why she still has full heat. It's funny because at the end of this you explain to yourself one of the holes in your logic but here's another little tidbit for you: the last time I can remember ASW making a vertical version of the same super is with EX Venom's Dark Angel, and that was intended as a joke. Think to yourself "would they really just waste a DD space on the same super but vertical?" Okay, ASW might actually be that dumb sometimes, BUT YOU GET THE POINT. Bibiquadium Posted September 12, 2013 Posted September 12, 2013 If she's announced to be previewed/played at TGS, then you'll be able to capture a much better grasp of her gameplay. A picture is not always worth a 1000 words.

I see the icon for lightning bolt and flame gun, but where is the ice icon?
Luminos564 Posted September 12, 2013 Posted September 12, 2013 If she's announced to be previewed/played at TGS, then you'll be able to capture a much better grasp of her gameplay. A picture is not always worth a 1000 words. Oh it is. Just that your 1000 words may not necessarily be my 1000. Like how we could each write up a 1000 word essay on Kokonoe's announcement and end up with very different impressions and conclusions. At least until we see full confirmation (in this case, the TGS) then all we can really do is speculate, make educated guesses and so on. Ergo, I eagerly await that incoming info.
AMB Bakery Posted September 12, 2013 Posted September 12, 2013 Nevermind, I thought her graviton gauge icon was the one for ice, I had just assumed so because of her freeze ray special. @Bibi: Yeah, it's at least a week before we get anything solid, though the online famitsu article should update in the meantime so we can get a full translation of what information we have.
Gespenst Ritter Posted September 12, 2013 Posted September 12, 2013 So is this supposed to be a discussion thread or a hard news thread? Because it can't be both. You can't have a thread for natural human conversation and have it always be on-topic, because normal human conversation drifts off-topic by nature. You know how there's an icon for ice, lightning, and fire respectively? If you look really close, you'll see that the lightning icon is greyed out in that image. It seems pretty apparent that it's some kind of special or at least drive move based on the pose she is doing (unless you think her idle stance might look like that ~_~) Maybe it's move that can destroy the active bit immediately, to let you set up a new Graviton without having to wait for your original one to drain.
Bibiquadium Posted September 12, 2013 Posted September 12, 2013 Nothing stops you guys from making a Kokonoe group and talk about whatever you want there, it would reduce 90% of the useless traffic here.
Kurushii Posted September 12, 2013 Posted September 12, 2013 Kokonoe Group - http://www.dustloop.com/forums/group.php?groupid=113
HoudiniJr100 Posted September 12, 2013 Posted September 12, 2013 Kokonoe Group - http://www.dustloop.com/forums/group.php?groupid=113 Thank you kurushii...we should of done this before we made our 321 post long rants about speculation. :P

Yeah, conversational tangents happen, and they slowly spiral out of control. It's not like anyone boots up their computer while thinking, "I'm gonna derail this thread into stupid shit mwahahaha." Also the forum itself is not a hivemind, so it's hard for everyone to know the exact point that a thread becomes off-topic and unacceptable. Each person views their individual posts as harmless, especially when it's related to the previous post. I don't really know the history of this forum, but why is there no dedicated BB general thread for off topic/whatever kind of discussion? You could still keep the CP News and Gameplay thread for hard discussion about the game, and if people want to discuss random stuff or what they think/feel about the game they could do it in the general one. Besides I don;t want a repeat of what happened.
SolxBaiken Posted September 12, 2013 Posted September 12, 2013 It's not like anyone boots up their computer while thinking, "I'm gonna derail this thread into stupid shit mwahahaha." You've clearly never sat next to me while I boot up my computer. We had a general thread and it was a mess, so the commanding powers deemed it an unneeded element in a forum that's supposed to center on community, competition, and information.
Bibiquadium Posted September 12, 2013 Posted September 12, 2013 Last time we had that it became your next Reddit. It didn't took long before we said to ourselves "Never again". The members has changed but the idea will remain the same as its going occur once again without any doubt. As in for now, keep this thread for valid information concerning BlazBlue Chrono Phantasma, all Kokonoe chatter should occur in the group until she gets her own specific section here on Dustloop, thank you for your understanding.
HoudiniJr100 Posted September 12, 2013 Posted September 12, 2013 yeah...anyways...now back to our regular forum.. ...any good idea starters? I got nothing
SolxBaiken Posted September 12, 2013 Posted September 12, 2013 If "you've got nothing" there's absolutely nothing wrong with not replying until something relevant comes up.
Gespenst Ritter Posted September 12, 2013 Posted September 12, 2013 Nothing stops you guys from making a Kokonoe group and talk about whatever you want there, it would reduce 90% of the useless traffic here. It's not about Kokonoe specifically. It's about how no one can say anything anywhere on Dustloop without having to look over their shoulder and make sure that what they're saying keeps the thread clean and presentable to whatever imaginary audience is viewing this site. (Seriously, who are we trying to impress?) I think the fact that you deemed a naturally-evolving human conversation to be "useless" says a lot. As if a discussion is supposed to be some crafted project that we all contribute to with a designated end goal. There's no reason to crack down on people for not posting strictly gameplay news when there's already a thread for strictly gameplay news. On-topic, Terumi sure can gain meter. How about that!
Bibiquadium Posted September 12, 2013 Posted September 12, 2013 Are you trying to enjoy yourself here or something else. I believe rules are pretty clear and if you can't respect them it's very unfortunate for you. There's a group where you are free to talk about anything you want. These threads are made for public references and information gathering, not for social networking or instant messaging, get that clear in your head now get back on topic and feel free to participate in the Kokonoe group.
Gespenst Ritter Posted September 12, 2013 Posted September 12, 2013 Well, ideally, I would like to find enjoyment in participating in a forum dedicated to a game that I love very dearly, but I know that's not what you were really asking. I don't care enough about Kokonoe enough to join a dedicated group for her. This was just about how in general, mods here herd discussions into "approved" directions. At which point it stops being a conversation and starts being a script. Natural discussion often gets chaotic, but in my experience it always falls into order naturally without outside prodding.
Bibiquadium Posted September 12, 2013 Posted September 12, 2013 We've went through this for long enough, as much as I understand your point of view, it doesn't always go as well as you picture it and we are here to avoid this before a worst case scenario happens. Now below this line, everything should be related to [CP] News & Gameplay Discussion anything else will go within our regulations and be deleted and an infraction will follow, clear? ____________________________________________
swordsman09 Posted September 12, 2013 Posted September 12, 2013 Is there any information on how Kokonoe's drive works yet? I still don't know.
HoudiniJr100 Posted September 12, 2013 Posted September 12, 2013 We talked about it a few pages back. I believe
Dawn of Musou Posted September 12, 2013 Posted September 12, 2013 Here's what her drive is. Kokonoe has 2 drives (which is kinda weird). The first drive "Graviton" will set it down a bit if one is not already set. The second drive "Activate" will swap the bit between two modes. When her Graviton bit is initially set it produces a slowing field which will slow her opponents down when near it. She can switch it to a repelling field which pushes her opponent away. If you notice the lightning and fire icons next to her graviton gauge, there are basically indicators for special moves that interact with her drive and will be different depending on what mode her Graviton is in or if it is even on the field. The flame icon is for her Flame Cage move. I believe Tokkan said the slowing field thing was an error, the initial mode attracts the opponent and the other mode repels the opponent.
ElegantShadow Posted September 13, 2013 Posted September 13, 2013 *Is not completely sure if this is the proper place to ask this question, but draws the conclusion that it is, due to the fact that said question IS CP related.* I've been wondering, are characters such as Amane and Izayoi still considered Low-Mid Tier? I've been watching videos of the two recently and from what I've seen, they both seem as if they'd be fairly high Tier, especially Amane once he has level 3 Drills, IMO. Could someone enlighten me as to why they're considered low tier, or if they've moved up a bit?
