Yazumatto Posted March 4, 2013 Posted March 4, 2013 Azrael sounding like Wesker? That could work. There are certainly some similarities between Azrael and Wesker. Having both of them share the same voice actor sounds somewhat cool.

Posted March 4, 2013 Posted March 4, 2013 (edited) Oh god no, his voice would not suit Amane at all, that would just be horrendous xD I remember Douglas did a voice for a create a character in soul calibur V and he sounded a lot more beastly than he does as someone like Wesker so I think Azrael is definitely a better choice. Tokkan Posted March 4, 2013 Posted March 4, 2013 That ain't really on topic, but it's highly doubtful a "BlazBlue voice actors thread" won't end in catastrophic flame wars so I guess there's really nowhere it can go. However, considering my observations of CS1's dub recording (it started in February 2010 and then it probably concluded in April the same year), this would be about the time dub recording starts. So I will say it's a definite possibility.

TekkamanArk Posted March 4, 2013 Posted March 4, 2013 JYB as Yu Narukami made me put Persona 4 Arena in Japanese. DC Douglas isn't bad like that, but, Wesker's voice doesn't fit Azrael, so i'd switch the game to Japanese with the quickness if I heard Wesker voice from Azrael.

He voiced Raven in Street Fighter X Tekken, and he doesn't sound like Wesker. Its another fact that he shouldnt voice Azrael. There are still small possibilities that he will replace current VA or will voice maybe... Kagura? (If its male) I always use eng dub if possible but... That Yasumoto just voiced Az perfectly.

Because VA'ing is only relevant once every couple of years, and only applies to the English side, and only for 2-5 characters at a time. There's not really a point to it.

Pretty much this. If you guys listen to more work Douglas has done, I think you'll find he can probably give Azrael a decent dub voice. And yeah it is possible he's doing some sort of NPC character or something. As for a replacement, man if I turn on the game and Relius suddenly has Douglas' voice I might die but Willingham already does a great job so I hope the Va's go back to how they were before extend changed it around.

That said, I hope we get Tony Oliver back as Bang...I miss him, and Reconstruction or Makoto & Relius` Gag Reel just didn't feel right.

kylehyde Posted March 4, 2013 Posted March 4, 2013 I know people are associating Douglas's voice to Wesker, but he did an awesome job as Legion in Mass Effect 2 and 3. Just wanted to say that. Bullet sounds like a tomboy in my head, so probably Karen Strassman. Maybe have her sound like the chick from Code Geass.

Hearing Nanako or Aigis when listening to Bullet would be...a unique experience. Obviously Strassman would do a different voice but you can't change basic traits of your voice no matter how big your range is.
