At first I thought it whiffed because she was still in the air as she was landing, but actually seeing that block animation made it pretty strange. Not to mention the fact that he was REALLY close to her, so it whiffing is a real wtf moment to me at least. I would've been angry if it happened to me. yo hes actually right, it really looks like the grab was blocked, even then he was REALLY deep in there. even then the fact that i missed from that range either shows its a possible glitch. kinda like how that hazama on the ground, while jin was really high in the air.

I'm confused @_@. The combo you're referring to is the 5B>2B>6C>j.22A>j.C>land>j.C>etc, right? Oh wait, I see the what you mean by the 5B. It'll still be the same though...probably, lol. The only other difference between them was that yours tried j.22A'ing again. If he had just j.C'ed instead of j.B'ed after the second j.22A, maybe that might've led to something different?
