toanenadiz Posted December 16, 2012 Posted December 16, 2012 forbidden discussion So, early tier lists have us at A lower/B tier. Any opinions on that? No opinion > tier lists Where It's a waste of the time to see them. 1. S+:Jin Tao Hazama S:Hakumen Litchi Valken Relius A+:μ・ Azrael A:Platinum Ragna Carl Nu B:Arakune Bullet Rachel Tsubaki Tager C:Makoto Noel Amane Bang 2. S:Tao Jin Hazama Litchi A:Hakumen Valkenhyne μ Relius Azrael B:Rachel Tsubaki Tager Platinum Ragna Carl Nu Arakune bullet C:Makoto Noel Amane Bang etc..
Overheat Posted December 16, 2012 Posted December 16, 2012 If that's the case, does that mean we can follow up air Calamity Enders in OD? The P2 is fairly high so I'm not sure if the proration is really bad if its done, I also haven't seen any matches yet where Nu follows it up because they're always done it when the round has ended.Considering that a ground follow-up might not even exist, an air follow-up is out of the question for now.
hakimiru Posted December 16, 2012 Posted December 16, 2012 Considering that a ground follow-up might not even exist, an air follow-up is out of the question for now. Based on current tech, the consensus seems to be that you can't follow up ground version even off ch without RC.
kenja0 Posted December 16, 2012 Posted December 16, 2012 It's a waste of the time to see them. Jin and Hakumen look solid. Tao looks scary. Combos for everyone seem to be getting close to their peaks. But you're right, still too early to say for tiers. Also, it's obvious that Nu has a lot of untapped potential still being figured out. Players trying to figure out where to put Facelifts is kinda funny.

Juunee Posted December 16, 2012 Posted December 16, 2012 An S+/C spread? I wouldn't put any faith in that at all
minlexx Posted December 16, 2012 Posted December 16, 2012 Is act parcer comboable? BBCS/EX Unlimited Nu-13 had many funny combos with act parcer included inside. What moves exactly can be cancelled into act parcer?
HexaNoid Posted December 16, 2012 Author Posted December 16, 2012 Act Parser can only be cancelled into after a drive move (grounded or mid-air) or 6C. I don't think you'll be able to use it in combos though unless you do like 6C on an aerial opponent near the corner and manage to get a wallbound or something.
Kakimori Posted December 17, 2012 Posted December 17, 2012 (edited) Does anyone know if you can dash after Act Parser in the air? If so, you can effectively get a triple air dash with Nu...it would make the loss of 236A in Dia Form much more bearable (also seems like super-safe 6C and good movement tool). I'm dreaming of fun stuff like: Jump > j.2DD > j.214D~C > j.2DD~66 > 44 > j.2DD > j.214D Also, does the drive move have to hit to be able to cancel into Act Parser? If I miscalculate distance and whiff a 5D at close range, it sure would be nice to have a teleport... Edited December 17, 2012 by Kakimori
toanenadiz Posted December 17, 2012 Posted December 17, 2012 It is said that doing an air act parser using up an air action so you wouldn't be able to air dash after it (barring after something like an air throw tech where it resets your air options). So your idea wouldn't work sadly.
Overheat Posted December 17, 2012 Posted December 17, 2012 Also, does the drive move have to hit to be able to cancel into Act Parser? If I miscalculate distance and whiff a 5D at close range, it sure would be nice to have a teleport...There's no way a whiffed Drive (or anything whiffed, really) could cancel into Act Parser. Although, interestingly, 5D on whiff cancelled into her AH in CS2/CSE for some bizarre reason.
Kakimori Posted December 17, 2012 Posted December 17, 2012 Too bad... LOL @ AH cancel...I didn't know that! Wonder if a match has ever been won that way.
Overheat Posted December 17, 2012 Posted December 17, 2012 I lost that way to my brother in a mirror match (accident), then investigated it further
tuka Posted December 17, 2012 Posted December 17, 2012 I just noticed meter gain is really pathetic lol http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_detailpage&v=7l87r_5uF1U#t=849s
Legacy Edge Posted December 17, 2012 Posted December 17, 2012 Do the old Gravity TK combos still work?
Overheat Posted December 17, 2012 Posted December 17, 2012 Do the old Gravity TK combos still work?Gravity > TK doesn't seem to connect. I think 6A or 6B are the follow-ups we have to use now.
Legacy Edge Posted December 17, 2012 Posted December 17, 2012 Was refering to the general idea more than gravity->TK, my fault for not specifing To rephrase, those 2 are still our basic big combo tools, right? I mean gravity->6A->TK->stuff for big damage. Most of the Nus i see count mostly on CT for their damage.
Overheat Posted December 17, 2012 Posted December 17, 2012 To rephrase, those 2 are still our basic big combo tools, right? I mean gravity->6A->TK->stuff for big damage. Most of the Nus i see count mostly on CT for their damage.(corner) (Luna) 4B = 4K (corner) (Luna) 4B with CT = 5K+ If it were in Dia, I think the damage would only go down by ~500. Midscreen, I don't think Gravity is nearly as useful as it used to be. A large part of that is 236C losing its wallbounce, thus making follow-ups weaker or impossible midscreen. I think it's safe to assume less than 3K for midscreen combo's, and potentially 4-5K for corner combo's.
Legacy Edge Posted December 17, 2012 Posted December 17, 2012 I see, totally forgot about the wallbounce. Aren't we able to do cavalier->legacy edge though?
Overheat Posted December 17, 2012 Posted December 17, 2012 I have no idea. Perhaps? It'd have to be 236C > 22A > 236236D, but I'm not sure if that would connect.
Kakimori Posted December 18, 2012 Posted December 18, 2012 You could always 236C > OD > 236236D, right?
Durkslag Posted December 18, 2012 Posted December 18, 2012 and then dash up and finish with a Calamity sword, aw yeah I need to do that even if I will lose the round because it =D
Overheat Posted December 18, 2012 Posted December 18, 2012 Just wanted to point out some of the important things I've overlooked from hakimiru's posts. I just noticed meter gain is really pathetic lol http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_detailpage&v=7l87r_5uF1U#t=849s Actually, I'm not sure if that will still be the case. I remember reading that they made system changes to heat gain too, so that towards the end of longer combos all you're getting is 1% per move. That's one of the major things people playing chars like Hazama and Litchi have noticed, I think. This is unfortunate, considering how much Heat Lambda used to get from her air ender to almost nothing now. 5Cch>Cavalier combos, but 5Dch>Cavalier doesn't. Crescent>rc>5C timing is very strict. 3C>Gravity>5C>6C>Cavalier combos. Midscreen Luna 3C>A Gravity>2C>6C>Cavalier~ 4B>Crescent>6A>5C>6C>Sickle>Cavalier>FL>5C>Sickle> FL>5C>2C>Supra>3C (~4500) 4B>2DD>CT>Cavalier>Gravity>6A>Crescent>6A>6C>Sickl e>Spike>5C>Supra(25% ~5000) The above is all in Luna, except for the TK > RC > 5C, which could be in Luna or Dia (I'm guessing Luna) In Dia, you can almost certainly do (corner) 4B > 2DD > 236D > 22A > 6B > 2C > TK > 6B > 5C > 6C > 236D > 236C > 5C > 2C > 623C > 3C 5C FC > 236C is probably our best punish again. If those combo's work, then we know that: Gravity > 2C/5C can connect (Dia) 236D > 5C can connect (I'm guessing height-dependent) (Luna) 4B > TK can connect, but follow-ups might be limited to only 6A and 6B. 2C might work. I doubt that a 5C follow-up is possible. You could always 236C > OD > 236236D, right? Not necessarily. I think it probably works, and I think 236C > 22A > 236236D probably works too, but I'm not sure about 236C's relative untech time and trajectory. I can't guarantee it as well, since I've never seen it (or something similar to it) before.
