I can't really see it that well, but that Bang/Hakumen Akira goes by this NESiCAxLive name: クズロットオー(?) followed by pixelated kanjis I can't really see that well.

I miss Akira the Tager. Something tells me he joined a band or something instead. He always looked like a rockstar from his photos.

The second one was buffered from the 2a, that's still pretty crazy. Is it the same standing 720 method from the CT days? Canceling the last frame before you jump into D and then finishing the motion and doing C right after?

I have no idea. My Tager is no where near Standing 720-tier. This Tager player is called Atorasu (Atlas?) and might be worth adding to the notable players list.

The 2nd was really~ delayed, but yes it was buffered from 2A

I have no clue how the first one was performed it happened too fast, I can only guess that was a charge

If you watch the video from the slightly before the standing 720 part you'll see him throw out 2A twice during neutral when he has 50+ meter. I'm sure he's mashing 720 buffer on each one of them.

Hmm I knew it. He just probably doesn't want to be recorded. He does do things and does know things that the other Tagers don't even know. Even Yumura with his great wisdom and thought process when it comes to figuring crap out doesn't compare to Akira's formal way of playing Tager. It's like Yumura is that dude that does the cool crap and Akira is the guy who has the fundamentals and perfect neutral along with combining the cool stuff that Yumura does more legit. Yumura is scary if he gets a hit. Akira forces pressure which leads to hits and tourney type of situations. I dunno.....what do you guys think?

Yumura is brain dead. He gave up on tager a while ago. As in, every time I watch him play he doesn't look like he gives 1 fuck. He plays Tager like he's Ragna. Look at every one of his matches with Nu. Quite frankly, I don't blame him. Tager doesn't get rewarded for baiting when every bait option is like 20/80 in the opponents favor. He doesn't have the luxury to go for random resets when he struggles to get in and get a hit. It's cool that we got that wtf gadget oki back but it still costs meter to do, still isn't guarenteed, and the change to atomic collider crippled a good chunk of his midscreen combo game. If Tager had some real magnetism and not this watered down BS that makes Magneto scoff in Mori's general direction then maybe he wouldn't have so many broken matchups and maybe players like Yumura would actually bother playing like losing wouldn't be a surprise.

Edit: Yo I mash like hell with Tager so why do I care :V No respect from me.

It's weird. Cause Tager's winning ranbats and tourneys now but his tools are still lack luster, his neutral is still lackluster, magnetism is still a gimmick, but he's winning more? Fucking I don't know.. Maybe brain dead tager was meant to be all along

Maybe we've got too used to seeing his weaknesses to properly compare them with his strengths. He does, after all, hit like a train and has one of the most advantageous 5As going.

Well, he's a grappler. Isn't his neutral supposed to be bad? It's his up close game that's supposed to be good.

how often do trains get to hit people?

Well sometimes trains can move all around and sometimes get you with magnets that then sees you getting ran over by the train over and over again.

He is ether winning right now because we have no idea what is going on (since we all agree he has some really cool new stuff but also weird changes) OR he is legit now and no-one truly appreciates that. Grapplers always have a hard time and they can't all be like astaroth from SC (who to me is an amazing grappler power house character) so really it is up to us to play tager and decide where we will be then still be more awesome than any others because WE HAVE MAGNETS FOR HANDS!

I personally think tager will be fun this time around. Maybe the collider change is a good thing and we just can't see what new toys we truly have to work with right now. (we lose collider but gain an Air buster, an air grapple, a upwards spark bolt and we have no idea what his overdrive can potentially do until we can get our grubby mittens on him.
