archer over rin? never, ever. last legit tier list i saw was in arcadia magazine right before tougeki, which had berserker @ A. there was also an ease of use list iirc, with lancer and gilga S, rest B.

anybody play as leysritt other than me?

I got my hands back on this game. Who still plays this!? Tech Romancer if you're reading this, I'll have a more polished kirei/caster for ya this time :-D

For reals man, this game is much faster paced than most games I've played.

Wish I knew how to play it (PS2 or PSP).

I wish developers would made a new version of this game. Why did they stop supporting it, I wonder? It has the potential for being a very good fighting and an extremely popular game (in Japan, at least) at the same time.

By the way, is there any way to play it online?

It reminds me of HnK. The game has some minor issues but is otherwise fantastic. It's obvious that lots of work and love went into it, and people played (still play) the fuck out of it but it seems like it was intended to be a one-off project so the developers cut their ties.

I know I'd like to see a sequel.

Not to mention the ridiculous infinites. But, nonetheless, it has interesting mechanics and great looks overall. I'm not even bothered with lancer's multiple launching kick loops or assassin's 6269A > 4219C loops since they look cool. Though gilgamesh and kirei's loops must be nerfed.

AUO will still be top next to lancer ez without chain infinite since he can do shit like babylon 2c swap loops lol

You know, it may sound weird, but I think this game is actually balanced pretty well. There aren't any characters that autolose, and tournaments have a healthy showing of a wide range of characters. There aren't even any heavily stacked matchups, and every character seems to have at least one matchup in their favor.

yeah, it was actually balanced because all the cast had some bs to that made them a threat, so there was only one maybe two 7:3 matchups and the rest were tame

7-3 are pretty heavily stacked, theyre usually the ones that completely shutdown attempts to get in etc

It's interesting how the tiers changed over time, reading through this thread. Everyone thought Assassin would be god tier at first. :3 I like how everyone is still competitive though.

Man, I would have played this game 24/7 if I was around the scene when it was out. That and if I had a PS2.

Caster v Saber is like 8:2 in Saber's favor. If Saber has meter Caster can't do anything; counter super beats everything caster has (even pokes). Shit is horrid imo.

This game will never comeback. Im starting to accept that now :-(

Pretty much, but that still means Saber is always at the advantage.

Though, I mained Saber so it was a fun match up for me lol. That counter super was so dumb good.

after pondering what this news for a while, perhaps this is a good thing for this game

maybe without capcom there are more chances that we could see a revision of the game or a sequel in hd consoles, 8thing already have the engine done, and have the experience after developing mvc3 and umvc3

Capcom is the Japanese publisher too...

All this means is that the game preformed BADLY, so bad it isn't even worth Capcom (USA) to renew the license to keep it up on the (NA) PS store.

That aside, neither Capcom nor Eighting have any say as to what becomes of this game, it all depends on Type-Moon, and I'm pretty sure they saw this as a marketing ploy/tie-in and not as a long running series. But they have been squeezing the Fate franchise as of late, so you never know.

Judging from the latest interview with them, Fate/EXTRA CCC will be the only official Fate title we'll see for a while. They say that after that, they'll focus on the Tsukihime remake and, IIRC, Mahou Tsukai no Yoru sequels, so even if they plan on doing a follow-up to F/uc, it won't be until, like, 2022.

Well that's as far as their own developed projects. F/UC they licensed out the rights to Cavia/Eighting/Capcom. Rarely do companies develop everything relating to their project, they basically look at it (sometimes not even that) and sign the paper greenlighting it.

A F/UC follow up can happen, it's just do they see it as being worth setting up such a deal again.
