Yikes, now that I am not sure of. Of all the Xrd footage, I have only seen one Zato use Shadow Gallery, and he RC'd it during the initial hit in (an attempt) to do an air juggle.

edit- nevermind, I guess I didn't notice Eddie has posts in his forum now! According to the first post of Eddie general/changes:

Shadow Gallery (Air 41236S)

- 2nd hit now knocks down again, similar to pre-AC - but only at midscreen.

- 2nd hit causes wall stick if close to a corner and is techable after the enemy slides down the wall a bit.

edit again- err, not Eddie, Zato, sorry. Goddammit.

Wow wtf...

I'd wager they will add it in later. Because you can RC throws. Watching a Sol combo video and he can get pretty respectable damage from his throw RC. But it is the GG dev team. They seems to balance things with meter cost unlike BB which takes no meter for throw combos.

whatever. no throw techs in xrd doesnt sound like a big deal at all to me . GG doesn't really need that mechanic for the system to work and the existing throw tech system seems kinda superfluous.

Yeah I think I saw something like that in one of the goldenrody vids, but in the corner. Very cool, I'm happy Zato is getting a bit more figured out. Now if only I could see Deadman's Hand in action...

GG went without throw breaks existing until AC if memory serves. I would think that with them going back to #Reload as their base, that not being able to break throws would be natural.

someone posted at a later loketest that throw techs were in but maybe they misinterpreted something. i think having a throw tech for throw trade (instead of whiffing moves through each other or other messy stuff) is ok, but otherwise its w/e

Can you blitz shield while holding forward? Might mess up the previous throw + attack OSes that would be useful for those throw trade situations.

I'm pretty sure BS is 5+S+H or 2+S+H. Can't activate if you're holding forward.

I do have some BS questions though, in case anyone finds footage that answers them:

1. How does BS react to crossups? The input is neutral, so does it block them?

2. Does BS give meter when it absorbs projectiles, or just when blocking attacks? If it does give meter for absorbing a projectile, what happens when it absorbs something multi-hit, like a charged Stinger-Aim?

For anyone that reads this that has access to an Xrd machine, please experiment with 'attack > RC > position yourself and go for your strongest laggiest attack > combo'. I'm seeing lots of stuff like RC > 5K/c.S, when I know that time slow will let you pull off way more damaging follow ups with better positioning.

yeah, i liked the indication that you traded throws, but it's not like it was reactable anyway (except by reacting to the setup)

The game's damage scaling system seems really different. It tends to reward number of hits more than XX and it feels like the damage difference between K S H and D is significantly less, at least for Sol. I really wish training mode was a bit more robust so I could give you better impressions than "it seems like" but that's what we're working with. I'll mess around a bit with Sol and see what I can come up with.
