*new peev*

1.people making a beginners room.....and proceeds to faceroll all the beginners...every.single.time(day).

2.Getting kicked from a noob room.....for apparently being too noob.

Its times when i can play fairly decent. like pulling off combos and what-not. and then after that its like i don't even know how to combo anymore...it just turns into me hitting the air and jumping all over the place, from all the way across the screen. Its because of that that some people think that i'm not even trying(and i am, i'm a very slow learner). I think i'v been kicked because of that a few times.

Ah, yes and..

3.getting bodied....just for picking amane.

I'v been teased, yelled and raged at simply for picking amane. mind you, i suck at him since i only got the game 2 weeks ago and i'm still learning with what little time I do have. and the few times i decide to play, there was this room, where all the players seemed to be beginners/intermediate players, a full room too. as i watch, everyone seemed to be playing casually, just fine for everyone's level in the room. the moment it gets to me, and i pick amane, the match only lasted about ....15-30 seconds. I got facerolled(stuck in a string combo the entire match). i thought that the guy was just testing me, because everyone after that(even the beginners) were not getting facerolled....at all...like he would pick his least experienced charterers against them. it gets back around to me again, and it repeats. i could just tell that he was messing with me. I left the room so fast after that match. I was peeved for the rest of the day.

Another room, was just with me and the room leader. i played him a few times with amane(lost each match) then after a few matches, he types into the chat saying that hes getting his mic. i'm like ok maybe he's gonna give me some tips or something.....minutes later, he has his mic on, calling me all sorts of insults(faggot being the main one)saying how hes gonna own me in the next match.....i was astounded and though he was joking....he wasn't. he bodied me the whole match. That also left me feeling peeved that day.

stuff like this makes me wonder why i'm not a rage quitter.

TL;DR

If you were the one face-rolling the other players in the room, would this still be a peeve of yours?

let me rephrase that a bit, i meant that the person who made the beginner room, was not a beginner...at all.

if i myself hate when that happens to me, i would not do it to anyone else. i play my least experienced character(amane...dear god why.) when playing anyone with little to no skill, or even decent. since i'm slightly decent with kagura...a bit...if i know that i will fumble(not on purpose of course, i mean it when i say i suck..my fail hand eye coordination), i play with him. other than that i avoid him.

Oh yes, if i was the one facerolling, i would hate it. it would make me feel very awkward and uncomfortable(I don't know why.). so yes, i would hate myself IF i would faceroll a whole room. luckily, its never come to that. and times that it would come even close to that situation, i tend to pass my turn...a lot.

I never go more that a 2 win streak.

I get the same feeling whenever I curbstomp someone in Lobby. I always give ´´Heart`` then ´´Thumbs Up`` after almost every match, but I almost feel like it might come across as insulting/sarcastic.

In Ranked, however, curbstomp battles are a godsend, as long as I'm not on the recieving end.

Practice ways to punish derpy strings like Jin 6B after 5C, 2C , etc.
Forget that even the slightest of input delay will make my IB 5A instead of CH'ing get me CH'd as a result.

Constant reminder that offline is the best line to follow.

It's a very short list of characters that won't result in someone getting pissed off and calling you a scrub (or a racial epithet).  Basically, if someone has ever lost to a certain character or encountered a spammer online, God help you if you pick that character and fail to play them flawlessly.

Time loops are real.  It's the summer of 2009 all over again.

Another possibility of the continuum shift.

Also, Jin is a solid character who isn't super duper hard to play, I'd expect to see a lot of players pick him up. I'd rather Jin army than Kokonoe army!

Here's my new pet peeve: People who flex their ego over netplay.

So I'm playing some Tager player with my Azrael, he wins by the skin of his teeth, switches to Ragna and then just goes into a cycle of mashing ID and taunting and then sends me a message saying "I can be disrespectful too."

Why in god's name does netplay breed such hatred? I don't even troll people for god's sake.

mfw fighting netplay Azrael, Jin, Ragna, Terumi, Tager, or Kokonoe.
Maybe this player will be interesting or unique or intelligent or-
Nope...same wake-up dp and mashing 2A after doing something -4 or higher.

Yeah last night I was thinking "Hey susano is on, maybe I can get some Mu matchup experience." Then you say "No more Jin" and I'm just like damn lol.

Funny considering how that matchup is almost unplayable in netplay. I don't understand people.

Replace Tager with Bullet and you have my entire CP team lol.

Oh God, not the Koko army. .____.

I guess I can tolerate the Jin army, for now.

I just get tired of fighting him that I start derping my own stuff. Same with Ragna and Azrael.

I detest people who abuse lag or mash. It sucks the fun out of the freaking match. That's about it.

Another pet peeve I have is when people get FURIOUS at a taunt.  In my mind, if I throw out a taunt in the middle of a match, it's more of a cheeky light-hearted gesture.  I never intend it to come off as an arrogant "I'm so much better than you lol" statement.  But I guess I also play Smash semi-competitively, and taunting is treated much differently there than in more traditional fighters.

People who think Smash Bros. is a fighting game.

Let's please not go down this road.  I could've used League of Legends or Team Fortress 2 as examples.  My post was using Smash simply as a comparison for different attitudes towards the use of taunts in a match.  I don't care if people think it's a fighter or not.

Kagura's [2]8C.

After inspecting it closely in training mode I've learned the depths of its depravity. If you're in the air at all there is absolutely no reason I can find for him to not use it. Enormous hitbox, air unblockable, much quicker recovery than other lesser DPs, unlike other multi-hitting moves if you stop holding back it'll get you, it's not even punishable on Instant Barrier or by double jumping back out of its hitbox. there's also no need to use it on the ground,..

It's the most infuriating thing I've ever encountered. What is its weakness? Or how does Relius beat this defensive tool.

Posted

Pretty sure he can spin through it.

Or better yet, have Ignis apply pressure while you use an overhead to force him to block high, thus dropping the charge.

I wish I didn't feel the way I do about it, but Terumi himself is like a giant peeve to me.

I never feel like I can learn anything from facing a Terumi other than arbitrary shit like "don't press buttons". He has no interesting mechanics to work around or cool matchup specific stuff. Just block low for days and kill them for pressing buttons, it's so brainless and dull. The fact that there is a literal army of Terumi's online at all times does not help either. It makes Netplay more of a chore than anything else.

No disrespect to Terumi players though, play whoever the hell you want.

That's how most of them will be.

But wait till you face a high level terumi player. You'll be tearing your hair out from the endless block strings and constant barrage of overheads and tick grabs.

I probably wouldn't hate him as much if his combos weren't so boring to sit through. It's nothing but stomp stomp stomp  auto pilot crap that goes on for way too long.
