ElegantShadow Posted September 29, 2013 Posted September 29, 2013 So, I was looking over one of the videos of Kokonoe, and a thought occurred to me: The Distortion Drive where she throws her Lollipop to the ground and summons a black hole, what if while they're falling, it changes the gravity around the opponent so that for the duration of the Distortion Drive the opponent is more greatly effected by her Drive? That's just a wild guess, but what are the chances of this being true? Also, is Kokonoe able to use her Machine Gun without first using the Freeze Ray/Gun?
Myoro Posted October 3, 2013 Posted October 3, 2013 So did anyone see what Kokonoe's taunt is? If so could you describe it?
Kurushii Posted October 3, 2013 Posted October 3, 2013 Also, is Kokonoe able to use her Machine Gun without first using the Freeze Ray/Gun? Noper, it's automatic after the freeze gun hits. Hoping her Unlimited Mode will have it separate. So did anyone see what Kokonoe's taunt is? If so could you describe it? I can't remember ever seeing it.
Master Of Chaos Posted October 3, 2013 Posted October 3, 2013 I just realized that along with whatever else bullshit he's going to get, Unlimted Terumi will have actual meter steal on 24/7. God save us all.
Vulcan422 Posted October 3, 2013 Posted October 3, 2013 Watch him get U. Hazama's perma-Jormungandr (life-steal ring) and have infinite super meter, meaning he just takes away your meter. And teleport Soutenjin. Without cost.
Luminos564 Posted October 3, 2013 Posted October 3, 2013 I just realized that along with whatever else bullshit he's going to get, Unlimted Terumi will have actual meter steal on 24/7. God save us all. Dios Mio, imagine the Abyss mode shenanigans! Add some meter cost reduction abilities and then do your DDs for like 25 meter (or less). Then max out his meter gain and then go from 0 to 100 in one Drive hit.
Ajantas Posted October 3, 2013 Posted October 3, 2013 I just realized that along with whatever else bullshit he's going to get, Unlimted Terumi will have actual meter steal on 24/7. God save us all. The thing is using Ragna is quite funny against U.Hazama because the AI will normally wake-up Houtenjin if you be too aggressive and he has meter. But C inferno Divider beats Houtenjin on wake-up so it always works in my favour. But now that Terumi has this reversal that does 3.2k in normal form I imagine in his Unlimited form it will be like 4.5-5k damage and possible can be comboed off... then it will be like *perform two combos on U.Terumi* AI uses reversal super on you, you lose 50% of your HP and U.Terumi still has 50% heat left. Good Day.
Master Of Chaos Posted October 3, 2013 Posted October 3, 2013 And let's not forget the fact that Unlimited Characters can use Overdrive (Which is always Level 3 regardless of health) to gain a DOUBLE boost to their drives/whatever else gets buffed by OD. So you can't time out U.Terumi by running away like a bitch. I bet his drive attacks in OD will probably instantly give him full meter and zero you out. Also I want to see U.Terumi being able use his curb-stomp move infinitely, it would be the most hilarious thing ever. *Knockdown-STOMP STOMP STOMP STOMP STOMP STOMP STOMP* "FINISH!" *STOMP STOMP KICK OFF-SCREEN!* I can feel the rage already.
Chaoschao222 Posted October 3, 2013 Posted October 3, 2013 I personally can't see U. Terumi being much of a threat compared to other Unlimited characters. Meter is pretty irrelevant against AI, and if fighting a human U. Terumi, odds are you are using an Unlimited as well, so getting 40-90 meter in most cases is as simple as landing 5A for some characters (as of CSX). No matter what U. Terumi gets, I'd take fighting it over BBCP U. Valkenhayn's Guard Point Wolf Install.
BladeOfJustice7 Posted October 3, 2013 Posted October 3, 2013 Kagura having as much health as Bang and Jin do is definitely believable. (11.5k) Agreed, I found it hard to believe when Kurushii said he had 10.5k (Valk and Arakune) when he's kinda slow bulky and hits hard. He doesn't seem to have any glaringly strong tools on either pressure, defense, neutral, or offense. I'm sure he'll do good damage though. I was kind of hoping he'd have 12K health like Haku-men personally. But 11.5K is a respectable amount. Boundary forbid if it ever turned out his health ever out-tanked Tager's... He would need to have a lack of mobility like Hakumen and Azrael, who both have 12k health. He can run, albeit slow, so that already lowers his chances of getting 12k. And we haven't seen him hit like a tank either, something else that both Hakumen and Azrael share. 11.5k sounds good to me.
Solless Posted October 4, 2013 Posted October 4, 2013 (edited) Well, people only had access to him for what? Maybe...3 days? I don't know if that was enough time to really get a concrete idea about his damage output, especially without BnB combos really set for him. So whether or not he can hit like a tank remains to be seen. Edited October 4, 2013 by Solless
LionHeartx Posted October 4, 2013 Posted October 4, 2013 I'm still in shock over how tame soutenjin looks/feels/sounds in comparison to houtenjin. seems like it has no impact lol. I suppose the dope-ness of his 100 meter ouroboros super makes up for it.

TheGreatReptar Posted October 4, 2013 Posted October 4, 2013 It seems to do a ton of guaranteed damage.
Putin Posted October 4, 2013 Posted October 4, 2013 I don't know its raw damage, but it did 2182 damage off 2B > 5CC > 3C > 22C > super. I hope its true minimum damage stays at about 2k otherwise it would be kinda shit. Bringing back the old double super ender damage
BlackYakuzu94 Posted October 4, 2013 Posted October 4, 2013 4.5k IIRC What the shit, that's Yukikaze & GETB levels of wat. Is it as fast as Houtenjin?
NecroTheReaper Posted October 4, 2013 Posted October 4, 2013 Doesn't it have a minimum range requirement? Plus I remember the animation doesn't seem subtle at all, so unless it has projectile invul for pesky zoners, I feel it'll stay a combo tool
LionHeartx Posted October 4, 2013 Posted October 4, 2013 Uh....huh? my bad. i wasn't really replying to you, just kinda talking about Terumi in general since I rewatched the demo videos of him lol. What the shit, that's Yukikaze & GETB levels of wat. Is it as fast as Houtenjin? nah. the animation and speed of it looks about the same as Hazama's 5D.
Dudestory Posted October 6, 2013 Posted October 6, 2013 Im just curious but if the game is out why isnt there any footage or Yuki Terumi out yet? i want to see more gameplay of him so bad
Chaoschao222 Posted October 6, 2013 Posted October 6, 2013 The game isn't out (on console) until Oct. 24 in JP.

I think the problem with saying straight out that 100 Meter for 2k combo ender is bad is that, we have to start thinking that meter means less to Terumi. Terumi gains more meter than the rest of the cast, but how much more exactly? Maybe the meter cost makes sense considering 100 Meter might be as easy to get as say 60-70 meter for most of the cast? I don't know, I think the scale of meter might just be completely different when Terumi combos are concerned.

If his meter gain is that quick, it might make sense for him to try and burn some so he throw out 5 DDs instead of 2, per match.
