TAI-X Posted November 5, 2013 Posted November 5, 2013 I know what you mean; Mars just seems like a way to pressure you into paying for the DLC unlock codes. Unlimited Arakune is the worst. Get cursed and it's like trying to fight in a hailstorm.
SolAscension Posted November 5, 2013 Posted November 5, 2013 so happy to finally be playing this game :D
Chaoschao222 Posted November 5, 2013 Posted November 5, 2013 (edited) Anyone here bothered completing Unlimited mars mode? CPU is set harder than hell and you get no retries. Got lucky with Noel but got effed up by Jin afterwards. lol I've done it with all but 4 characters (which I'll do later tonight and tomorrow), it's basically a giant glass cannon mode. It's easy, but any mistake is devastating. Course C is the easiest of the default 3. Edited November 5, 2013 by Chaoschao222 beat it with another character
the00monkey Posted November 5, 2013 Posted November 5, 2013 yo, did they remove dash cancel? i cant do it in bbcp?
beanwich Posted November 5, 2013 Posted November 5, 2013 Is it possible to fight Takemikazuchi without having to play through story mode? Once you complete Story Mode, you can fight Takemikazuchi any time, and with any character you have, in Takemikazuchi Assault Mode!

T9S1N2 Posted November 5, 2013 Posted November 5, 2013 I heard there is a 4th course for unlimited mars mode. How do you unlock that? Do you have to beat all courses or just 1 to unlock an unlimited character?
Chaoschao222 Posted November 5, 2013 Posted November 5, 2013 You unlock Course D by completing courses A-C. Each Unlimited is unlocked by beating any single course with that character. Course C is the easiest to complete out of the default courses, due to having no "bullshit" characters (in other words, no Amane, who is the only 'difficult' battle in U. Mars, and no Arakune, who is a long chore).
Volt Posted November 5, 2013 Posted November 5, 2013 I can't even make it past Noel. Do you know if it's easier if you lower the difficulty? Doesn't work. The CPU is always set to 100. You could try to adapt in training mode though.

Chaoschao222 Posted November 5, 2013 Posted November 5, 2013 I mean... I said it was the easiest course... so yeah... it'd be the easiest course to take. Very basic things to keep in mind for Course C are; The difference between Bullet's grab and command grab, if you react for one, but it's the other, she'll find a way to punish your dick. Hazama's OD DD guard breaks and crosses you up, so barrier block it but wait until he's crossed you up or you'll get CH'd and lose 5.6k + life steal damage. Valkenhayn can bail out of any non-DD combo with Wolf meter if he's on the ground. So once he has wolf meter, either be very aware of your grounded punishes, or just stick to hitting him while he's airborne. Hakumen is a punk bitch so be sure to get all of your frustrations out on him from your experiences with normal Hakumen, teabag him at least 6 times or you didn't do it correctly. Other than that, the Unlimiteds all have very simple and telegraphed patterns that are easy to learn and react to after a fight or two.

I see, thanks for the help, Hakumen's always been a scumbag, he was the one who ruined my Unlimited Mars Mode conquest in BBCSE.
Chaoschao222 Posted November 5, 2013 Posted November 5, 2013 Hakumen has always been one of the easier Unlimited characters to beat because he's slow and throws counters out like an idiot. He just has a lot of health and will kill you if you mash randomly.
Kurushii Posted November 5, 2013 Author Posted November 5, 2013 (edited) BBCP NA is coming out March 2014 http://blazblueuniverse.com/blazblue-chrono-phantasma-available-march-2014-limited-edition-price-announced Edited November 5, 2013 by Kurushii
heavymetalmixer Posted November 5, 2013 Posted November 5, 2013 BBCP NA is coming out March 2014 http://blazblueuniverse.com/blazblue-chrono-phantasma-available-march-2014-limited-edition-price-announced March?, damn it, now the american version will have poor sales. Well, more money to the japanese version.
NeoStrayCat Posted November 5, 2013 Posted November 5, 2013 So the March placeholder was true it seems, but who knows if it'll come out same date Amazon has, also, $80 for the US LE, well, at least its not over $100, and now they mention 2 exclusive items instead of 1. So yeah, its gonna feel like CS:Extend's wait period again. But hopefully worth it.

TAI-X Posted November 5, 2013 Posted November 5, 2013 (edited) This should have been in January. Aksys just kissed a good chunk of their US sales goodbye, aside from people who are dying to read English story mode or really want the Rachel Nendoroid. With a release gap this wide, many players will decide to import if they haven't done so already. Anyone want to guess when the Euro release will be? Ha ha. Edited November 5, 2013 by TAI-X

Granted, it gives me time to gather up enough for the LE but it still sucks having to wait so long. *Sigh* Well, it's a good thing I have other problems to attend to besides not being able to play CP early, so I might as well solve them while waiting. More to the point: I am curious about the supposed "2 North American exclusives" they mentioned. If I were the betting type, my money'd be on Terumi and Kokonoe being unlocked for us without having to pay for them. But then again, never underestimate a company's desire for your money. Skye Posted November 5, 2013 Posted November 5, 2013 This is worse than the CSE gap. The CSE gap was 2 months, December JP release, February US release.
SoWL Posted November 5, 2013 Posted November 5, 2013 This is worse than the CSE gap. The CSE gap was 2 months, December JP release, February US release. They also had less stuff to translate, though. On the other hand, I have no idea when exactly they begin working on the localization before the JP release (at the very least, some voice acting is already done).
Skye Posted November 5, 2013 Posted November 5, 2013 You know, I've always wondered why the localization team doesn't work hand in hand with the original devs, this way translations won't eat up time and release gaps would be monumentally low. I think they actually did this with p4u.
SolxBaiken Posted November 5, 2013 Posted November 5, 2013 (edited) But CT and CS I would consider working very closely, it's only during CSE [where they took localization into their own hands] that things have become messier. Also [as I've stated before] I highly doubt this is even a localization [development] issue and just has more to do with North America's cluttered release quarter. EDIT: Actually, as a whole, yeah this is probably one of the better internationally handled series that doesn't come from a big company [Capcom, Square, . . . Bamco lol] Edited November 5, 2013 by SolxBaiken
beanwich Posted November 5, 2013 Posted November 5, 2013 All of those only provide more reasons to import....it was 100% worth it. Also, in case anyone would like info on a good site to import from, definitely consider play-asia.com. I got the regular edition pre-ordered BBCP from that site for only about 66.99$, plus, the shipping was free, and it came very quickly, it actually came only the day after it was released, especially fast considering the company is located in Hong Kong.
