yeah okay, I remember seeing this thanks and they do look pretty damn similar. Sequel to Xblaze huh? Still need to finish the first one.

 

Just what is arcsys doing today? A colossal stream of BS and just dropping spoilers it seems.

 So are they just trying to reduce combos/damage across the board? Like bringing Upper tier down to mid and low tier to mid? Seems like everyone is getting nerfs overall. Course 1st Loke Test.

 

Like:

 Bullet

- Bullet's Capture's Brake only registers in the last half. Looks like it has recovery. 
- Capture's changed so picking it up off a 5B is tough now.

Katou: "Balance change" might be the wrong word to describe it... Instead of averaging the strengths and weaknesses of each character, we aimed to expand the individuality of each character and how it feels to play with the characters.

Hopefully this translates to "we're tryin to see how bad we can butcjer characters so we know what not to touch when the game is finished". Right now, I don't think many people are happy lol

Well, at least they buffed Izayoi. They gave her a DP and new cancel routes. That's the nice thing about playing a low tier character: your character gets buffed every version. Unless your Makoto. Or Tsubaki. Or Tager.

I always take these types of changes with a grain of salt, like i knew those Rachel chances had to be false, game been out forever, they not gonna make big changes to a old character like that out of no where. From what i've read though it seems they want to make the game more defensive which is a bad thing imo. And ODGC is gonna be broken as hell, i guess i should be happy as i play the character which is gonna have the most use out of it (ODGC > 720 gonna make people cry). But this also removes all of Tagers "preassure" as most of his moves are out for pretty long, which means any decent opponent will be able ODGC his strings. Hopefully if they let it stick they make it really bad so you cant really use it in a middle of a string, but just to punish stuff that are already minus on block to begin with (like hakumens 3C).

im guessing it will be somewhat like an alpha counter, the timing would be very precise or the recovery of the activation to behave like instant block, i'm leaning towards this or some special condition for activation

If most of these changes stay, I may as well drop BB entirely and go to P4A(U) full time. Some of the changes make no sense. In a balance, you're supposed to nerf the characters that need it (Hazama, Litchi. any other top tier) and the buff the ones that need it (Carl, Tsubaki, Makoto). I know anime games aren't really known for their places and places an emphasis on tiers, but this isn't Marvel. Marvel is supposed to be a broken mess. BlazBlue, I saw differently, in that every character CAN be successful if you know how to use them, no matter their tier. But now it's apparent that with this game, tier whoring in acceptable. I'm about to be done.

Of course I'm going to wait for the final confirmed changes, but going by how they currently are, am I really going to want to play my main and subs in CP 2.0? Only time will tell.
