-Kid Posted August 6, 2012 Posted August 6, 2012 thats his crush trigger thing apparently its like makoto's 6b but it has really slow startup and he flashes white while doing it lol Screams please block me, or please reversal me.
floatwater Posted August 6, 2012 Posted August 6, 2012 Aww I was hoping he got a new overhead My idea was that they were incorporate scythe moves to ragna a bit more. But hey the overdrive system looks solid from what tong posted.
The Noble Clap Posted August 6, 2012 Posted August 6, 2012 If that blood-scythe move is as slow as it looks, it better be postive as fuck because it looks so nice. And does anyone know if we can cancel moves/specials/errything into overdrive or do we have to be out of an animation like regular gold bursts?
Godlike Assault Posted August 6, 2012 Posted August 6, 2012 Guys can you explain me how it's good to use BK only whit his overdrive?I mean BK can save you from a lot of shit and reverse a fight.
xlolxlolx Posted August 6, 2012 Posted August 6, 2012 air scythe is slower than air gh tk gh>5a doesnt work cid punch follow up window looks like its about 7 frames in the corner, proly increase it with more height and some people got 3c to connect (most likely not crossunder) this guy says 6a floats higher now and 6c>tk scythe worked but couldnt follow up so idk he said he mightve did it wrong, he got bk tk scythe starter>5b to work tho bk 2d doesnt ground bounce, bk stuff looks the same asides from that
LuminAbyss Posted August 6, 2012 Posted August 6, 2012 One thing I like about Overdrive is that it doesn't use heat, and it doesn't drain life. Meaning if you have 50 heat, you can do an over drive combo and end with DbD (which does double the damage in Overdrive). Sounds like fun.

"Double the damage" in Overdrive means the same damage we have now from DbD raw.
WolfCrimson Posted August 6, 2012 Posted August 6, 2012 Hmmm... but DbD now can be activated without worrying of giving up your burst. I dunno I'm just a bit salty from losing BK as a distortion.
Dont_Explain Posted August 6, 2012 Posted August 6, 2012 BK was mostly for comebacks anyways, so it makes sense that it's his Overdrive.
Tong Posted August 6, 2012 Posted August 6, 2012 750 min damage outside BK. CS has like 890. Hope they're not thinking about nerfing it lol BK was mostly for comebacks anyways, so it makes sense that it's his Overdrive. As soon I get 50 heat and any confirm, I BK. Forces bursts and if doesn't, I get most health and heat back anyway.
The Noble Clap Posted August 6, 2012 Posted August 6, 2012 Well, BK whenever you want it does sound nice. Since you don't have to spend meter to use, that means, unless they make activating an overdrive give you meter gain prorate-yness like a DD, you should be able to gain a huge amount of meter in those 5-15 seconds.
Dont_Explain Posted August 6, 2012 Posted August 6, 2012 As soon I get 50 heat and any confirm, I BK. Forces bursts and if doesn't, I get most health and heat back anyway. You can force a burst, but personally it doesn't sound worth it when you lose health and the heat.
KayEff Posted August 6, 2012 Author Posted August 6, 2012 You can force a burst, but personally it doesn't sound worth it when you lose health and the heat. it's really not against most characters.
xlolxlolx Posted August 6, 2012 Posted August 6, 2012 well....15 seconds of bk.....youre not gonna be doing much at all
Tong Posted August 6, 2012 Posted August 6, 2012 Standard BK lasts less than 10 seconds... I can already imagine huge Heat Penalty
Tong Posted August 6, 2012 Posted August 6, 2012 Framedata says yes, and it's probably just the huge hitstop that makes it feel slower.
Fistmaster049 Posted August 6, 2012 Posted August 6, 2012 Overdrive Bk ....meh, about 50/50 with me Pros: Bk whenever you want it really Cons: Changes like 5D and 6C losing its dash, I can't see it being used regularly midscreen anymore
GenoWhirl Posted August 6, 2012 Posted August 6, 2012 maybe now that you don't lose health it'll actually feel like you're gaining health back
WolfCrimson Posted August 6, 2012 Posted August 6, 2012 You know what I hate about all this? I am hype as fuck about BBCP, and so I can't play the other games I have, I just want to read about new info about the game. But the problem is that info doesn't release as fast as I want it to. /firstworldproblems
Final Ultima Posted August 7, 2012 Posted August 7, 2012 maybe now that you don't lose health it'll actually feel like you're gaining health back That might be a good point, actually. At low health it'll last longer too. I think the most important thing we need to know about how Overdrive affects Ragna now is how the activation works.
MashThat5A Posted August 7, 2012 Posted August 7, 2012 Oh hey Final Ultima is back. To be honest, except the changes to 6B this is as about an extreme of a change as I was expecting for the first joketest. I'm more curious about the system stuff than the changes to Ragna atm since those are less likely to change drastically.
TSHKN Posted August 7, 2012 Posted August 7, 2012 What i want to know can you OD in the air or do you have to be on the ground to OD cause if you can that could open up new combos and stuff like air combo into JD,RC,Air OD,BE,stuff into DBD or air combo into BE,CS,OD,stuff maybe
