Or we complain because we dislike said aspect of the game. It's a public forum, people can voice their opinions if they want.

I should be announcing a time for the Winter Brawl tournament soon. It will be on Sunday, with Aquapazza.

" People can voice their opinions if they want." yeah, like i did.I don't think there is a point in arguing over something you dislike and can't change though =/ (a few posts back ) Fine if you dislike it cool hopefully it doesn't make you quit the game but don't argue about it.Winter brawl sounds like fun and AP is going to be amazing!

But-- um-- it-- what? I don't... if... what?!

How in the world? How can someone like Marvel but not Skullgirls? I don't even.

Also, I just tried Chaos Code today, Kagari is really fun. I'm gonna get this game as soon as it becomes available.

Marvel is legit, though. That's why it's so popular. It's way better than SG because you can TAC Infinite and there's no burst mechanic.

"optimal" corner double rejump for celia 2 to my knowledge is this:

...groundbounce > (66) 2B delay 2C sj9.B C D > land j8.A(2) B C > land > j9.A(1) C > dj9.B C D 623PP

also if you have the 2 meter to blow on tomahawk supercancel into boob rockets, the unprorated damage is fine, but keep in mind it only unprorates the super itself, so if you can find a way to do it, doing a normal canceled into that super is going to net you more effecient damage

you can get a bit over 50% damage for no meter from that confirm using 2C CH sj9.C D > land cl.C 6A hcb,f+K > 214C > dash 2B into the combo above, or for 50% meter by using 214PP if you are not using the command grab

I know the rejump already. I'm just not consistent with it, so I stick to what I can do consistently. I'll compare the damage difference later.

Also, gotcha on the boob rocket thing.

I always run command grab. I'll try that one out when I get back home today.

some notes on the timing for getting full double rejump:

*delay between 2B and 2C is almost required, makes it a lot easier

*on first rejump you want to hit the falling j.C as late as possible really

*you can just hold up forward then tap A shortly after jumping for getting j.A ASAP

it is not that hard if you learn all of the delays properly

I never would've guessed Hermes had enough frame advantage after 2B to dash up and 5C. I figured the loop at the end was possible, but I couldn't quite set it up right. I'm stealing some of this stuff.

Dude I've had someone I'm talking to dump all over Skull Girls then go and play Street Fighter x Tekken...

On that note, I took my setup to an Anime convention in town. Just about everyone that played it liked or loved it. I used Bravo while showing it off to new players. Flipping tables got a laugh out of everyone.

Are you going to body us again in casuals with it?

Nope, I only have about 40% consistency with it so far, and it's slightly different from the one in the video. Oddly, grinding that out helped me come up with a much better midscreen throw combo, which you can go into the 1-hit whip loop if you happen to be close enough to the corner.

I've been playing this game for a few weeks and have been really enjoying it. I recently stumbled onto a game mechanic that has become problematic, and I was wondering if any of you noticed this.

1) Pretty much all normals are air unblockable. This isn't much of a problem normally, but we don't have barrier guard or anything similar.

2) This really becomes an issue in the corner. Doing Hikaru combos, I'll end with a j.D and land before my opponent. I can do a DP super immediately (or anything else I want) and delay it slightly for an inescapable reset. Even when I drop my combo whatever I do next will ALWAYS connect because its air unblockable. What is up with that?

The weird thing is I've blocked in the air numerous times. So it's possible, but I don't always know why or when. (It works when you chicken block, for example).

My friends and I have found this to be pretty damn scrubby. What's stopping people from just resetting a combo (even accidentally sometimes) using this, and how are we to know when they do it / how to escape it. To understand exactly what I mean, do a basic air string with your character and land, then literally do anything you want be it a normal/super/special.

You can block air-to-airs and fireballs, like in SF Alpha/GG/OMK/AP. I'm a bit shaky on the rules for air-teching in this game (had a broken foot the last three weeks, so haven't been able to test anything in this game with people), but I'm pretty sure that if the combo has actually dropped you can air-tech the grounded normal on reaction like GG. Otherwise there's always BD parries.

Posted

Yeah, you can airtech out but then you fall helpless into your opponent's loving arms. The main issue imo is that it turns even the simplest BnB into a stupid guessing game where the player in the air has to either blow a bar for C+D (which can be baited) or take more damage. You should be able to tech and block the next attack but...yeah

Posted

Or you just not tech and deal with oki where you have a few more options in terms of reversals and blocking.

I don't really agree that it's problematic, it just makes teching less braindead.

Posted

It's not problematic in the least. There's so many options around it that it shouldn't be an issue.

Parry, Tech OUT of the corner, just fall and deal with Oki just like Delrian said.

It's honestly not that hard to deal with. I've never been hit by some 'inescapable reset' because I teched.

I have a question, and I've been wondering about this for a while now. Is there a mechanic or status in the game that is only prevalent when you're in red health? I just find it odd that Practice Mode lets you set life to red, so it must be something I don't know about.

The defense boost isn't nearly as noticeable as it is with P4U's awakening mode. Anyway, I got chaos code a few days ago. I've been having a lot of fun with it. Today though starting the game up, it said I needed to download a patch update. Maybe it's to fix the glitches in training mode. Anyone else get this?
