You're Baiken... stop whining, we Dizzy can't mix you up for free on knock down like the rest of the cast :| The one sole reason i enjoy playing Baiken / Millia / Chip is their crappy lifebar, often times a single knock down is enough to kill them

I meant my old post on the 1st page where this Air grab discussion started, and yes her iad j.2s > j.h isn't really effective on this match up thanks to Baiken Guard cancel, but on other match, her j.h actually heavy enough for not leaving any gap for her to continue with ground block string via this way. Before i just need to state out, Dizzy mid air normal is pretty crappy and Baiken shouldn't feel intimidated by how big it is... Baiken have too many ways to deal with her Jump in And yes, i do agree with her ground games is much more difficult to handle, but on neutral Baiken still have the upper hand with iad tatami, the j.s is fine too, but tatami is harder to deal with since it cover very huge space.

It's not focusing on Air Grab, but just throwing some info how to take advantage of Dizzy expanded hit box on her j.h ... and Dizzy doing air dash j.h? well i know, her j.h is heavy as fuck, but if it get blocked... she's open for almost everything you throw at her (iirc Baiken H guard cancel will ch her, and if there's corner, you'll get dustloop on her for free). All Dizzy mid air moves're decent to use with iad, but j.h is exceptionally bad to use, since it only cancel to special, it's very unsafe on block if used together with airdash.

Question about crouching combos 5b>5cc>214ac~b>2a>5b>6a>BBS(3)>665d>.... <- is it possible to do 214ac~b pick up at this point, since the push back is pretty brutal? thanks in advance.

OK, i got 15~20 match last weekend against mu to refresh my memories ... she can beat Makoto dashing 5b if she is actually out of 5b range (your bad spacing), ok then instead of offensive approach ... i'll suggest dash break a lot, the Mu i go against usually keep her spacing about 5c range, at that range her only option is to push you away / runaway, if you're cornered her other option is reset pressure with 5c / react to your escape. If Mu relies hit confirm from 5c, there's really not much you can do other than dash break approach, well if you IB a lot, you will have better heat gain than her, the opening you would want to get is IB her Sword of Decimation and punish with dashing 5a or 2a / j.cc her Habaya her other option is 2d jump cancel escape or delay her iad to cross up your advance (you can jab her out with 5a), if she iad back, just chase her and fd break, your dashing 6a got beaten clean with her iad back j.c. Well after u get your opening and knock her down OTG that bitch (2b>5b>6a>j.b>dj.d to sent her to corner), to prevent her her roll out... if you do this a lot, she will start neutral tech her knock down and probably reversal your 2b (no worries, you can block on time). I think that's all for now, Mu is indeed frustrating match up, but very winnable. Extra Note : You can Jump cancel 5b on block. You can 3c her sword of decimation (a gamble thought if she delay her SoD and corner is in proximity, be ready for 5k).

Use Dashing 5b... i'm playing this match up a lot, on neutral Mu doesn't have anything that can beat Makoto dashing 5b, don't rely too much on Makoto 2a, since Mu 2b beat it clean and Mu DP is just as bad as Makoto, u can bait it with 2b or low profile with 3c.

Well the basic of Air Grabbing is to have the opponent slightly a little bit above you, if you're not used with air grab as anti air it does feels awkward at first, but it'll came naturally with experience... or try playing HOS

Afaik u can't BBS>wall bounce> follow up at corner, you should at least about 1/4 way to corner... that combo is quite flashy on real match, you should confirm your position, before going for it. -
You just need to time your 9.hs and let the hit box do the rest. you can try practicing by setting Dizzy do a deep jump in. j.h to get the feel of the timing.

Nope, actually Dizzy has very crappy jump normal, they're indeed Big but also extend her hit box to almost as big as her attack hit box, you can time your 6p as anti air to beat all her jump in (j.k, j.2s & j.h) and evade the laser fish at the same time or instant air grab her j.h on reaction. Baiken j.s indeed kills Dizzy like Shinjin said, her only mid air attack that Baiken have no way to beat is iad back j.s And just for information, Dizzy j.2s're invul to air grab, if you're using instant air grab to counter her j.h, she will start abusing this.

I can think of, u can go straight into Jamming session, but the damage output probably lower and not as effective as her regular setup. You're right 2d is rather safe move, as JCable on block and FRC'ed 2d give you +14f of advantage iirc... frame trap with 6H?

Well, Noel 6a is not that fast , but the hit box of that attack is BIG u can abuse it with dash buffer on it ... i've using her 6a as one of my main poke to go against Ragna 5b and rarely lose, trading at most on Noel advantage for pressure, so i can see it works similar to plat 5b which is slower, but Plat 2b will low profile it, so less worry on ground game

Never playing the same character seems already became general consensus on my offline community, since our regular member is pretty small ... i'm kind of thirsty on mirror match -
Against Noel it's very important to understand about her tools, Plat have very good tool to deal with Noel pokes, use 5b/2b generally for spacing ( use 5a/5b to deal with 2d and 2b for her 5b/5d/4d) , and be very cautious when trying to jump in on her as her AA is very good. it's better to focus on the ground game, still be careful with her j.d and j.4d that have projectile invul and will go pass your missile and bombs. And i'm against random mami vs Noel. Use the bubble instead to start pressure.

Well, 2a reset and 5cc frame trap is the most solid pressure Makoto have, if you go against character without dp, u can go crazy with 5cc>6b/2c and get away safely with asteroid vision or trap them further with Lunatic upper, it only -4 and frame trap with mars chopper / Shooting star or if you're gutsy enough, u can fish Corona Counter for mashing (similar to Ragna HF trap). -

Well what comes in my mind is -> snap're whiffing -> space counter will catch HF recovery time ... not just Snap hit box, feels like space counter also got nerfed =_= ... on Rachel case, that's definitely hit box of space parry being nerfed, i'm certain i can catch her 5b near max range with snap on CS2.
