I should too. I've been playing MUCH better since I started using those backdash combos. The amount of bursts I've baited is hilarious. Everyone likes bursting after gravity, but my Backdash combos RC backdash off of gravity.
-
Its hilarious when you use it to burst bait too. Nothing makes you feel more pro than backdashing that green burst and continuing the combo without any complications.
-
Well I made up some flashy backdash combos: j.B (optional)>663C>214A>RC>Backdash>6DD>2DD>2147D>5C(1)>6C>236D>214D~C>236C>445Cx8>2C>Air Swords> Distortion ender (100% heat, 4.6K) 236B(Counter)>RC>Backdash>5DD>236C>6A>6C>5Cx8>2C>Air Swords>Distortion Ender (100% heat, 5K) Until today, no one has used backdashes mid combo. Now I want to do it all the time =D
-
I still haven't improved at all over the past 2 weeks ;~;
-
so much for that then <.< Can you do 66A>2147D there instead?
-
After a midscreen 236C, you can do dashing 5C(x8) into a 3C if you time it well. Im curious as to what flashy gravity combos this can lead to.
-
or if you have heat X>3C>RC>66A>214A>4B(2)>2DD>2147D>5DD>236C>236D>(End here and go for oki if you are far from the corner. If at or near corner, continue)>2B>2C>2147D>Lock opponent tech with 5C spam. Not sure if you can do a 3C after the last TK and then a wheel or spike oki instead. if someone can test it, that would be great. (I know there is more optimal stuff, but this is flashier)

How much damage would that do if you replaced the TK with a 6C? -

I guess I'll just save it for tager then. -
Have you joined average rooms on XBL? unless you join rooms with specific players, XBL isn't all that great in general, with only a handful of active notable players you can get your ass completely kicked across the ocean by. edit: ok fine, maybe i just can't find anyone amazing due to so many rooms with connection quality restrictions.

-I noticed that you tend to wake-up Calamity Sword in instances where it's not really needed (and I saw the opponent bait it out because it was obvious, but for some reason they got hit anyway sometimes). Try waking up and blocking more often or something, be ready for the opponent and try to counter assault if you really don't want to have them on you and you have the meter. Wake up Calamity Sword can help you out of tight spots, but doing it often leads to opponents baiting it out. I definitely need to stop doing that. -You don't have to do things on wakeup so often, it really helps to learn how powerful just sitting there and doing nothing can be. :D My first fighting game was brawl so its sorta second nature that I always have to be doing something <.< I can't really see standing and blocking as that helpful. Its probably just me though. -Is there a particular reason your barrier turns on and off rapidly? I'm not sure why you do it but it sets yourself up for TRMs pretty easily, which can be really dangerous against people who like to grab. Its my need to always do something. I just keep spamming 4AB or 3AB over and over for easy instant blocking. It does mess me up though. -You do get a lot of clips with the swords and so it'd help out if you capitalized off of them more (like instead of 6DD->2DD->j.c->j.DD->j.2DD->j.c->j.DD->j.2DD->j.214D, try doing 6DD->2DD->j.c->j.DD->j.2DD->j.214D©->j.DD->j.2DD->j.c->j.DD->j.2DD->j.214D). Once you get that down then opponents will fear the swords more and you can lock them down more easily. I definitely should, i used to but i kept messing it up ;~; -Should practice hitconfirming with 6DD, even when they blocked it you just went into 2DD and it whiffed sometimes. Should watch out for that because it leaves you open if they're at a fairly close range. I'd recommend either airdashing off of a blocked 6DD, or crescent cancelling to get rid of the recovery and get ready to do something else. Thats going on my to-do list definitely. It will help a lot against my hakumen matchup where all i do is spam 6D -Lambda has a lot of melee mixup options, so doing a different one than the 2A->5B->6A->2B->(Overhead/Low) mixup can really throw someone off. I know that mixup string can really nail someone not prepared for it, but using something different than what an opponent is used to seeing can sometimes win matches. Alright. Its just really hard for me to drop something I'm familiar with though. What would be some good mixups for non-pizza wheel pressure? I know a lot of pizza wheel pressure though, such as j.b(whiff)>airdash/grounddash works great midscreen, as does double TK feint>2B/4B, TK feint>Low airdash/grounddash, ect, but i don't know any other non-wheel pressure strings. in theory, would 2B>2C>backjump>j.2DD>tk feint>airdash>j.2c be good pressure reset? -
well XBL isn't near PSN in skill, so our matches last at the max of 300 seconds (5 minutes) Usually faster, so about 3 minutes tops per match. thats about 7 matches

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=U8bcO0fAAV0 Besides blocking better, and using a DD ender instead of a RC double crescent, what can I do better? (Also, they do in fact tap the barrier button which is why my DP distortions sometimes hit through their baits) -
So today, I just had an amazing 20 minutes where I won every match no matter how good my opponent was, after those 20 minutes were up however, it was back to cruddy old usual me.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=N8yzevvdsRM My 2 most hated matchups. How did I do?

For 2C antiair, use this combo we found in CS2 (Still works) 2C(CH)>665A>6A>j.5DD>dj.2DD>j.214D~C>j.2C>2DD>214A>2147D>66A>6C>236C>665Cx8>2C>Air Swords Ender. Its hilarious to pull off.
-
I play so much better when I'm trolling. Today when I tried playing serious, I kept losing ;~;. Then I started trolling and singing into my mic and then started winning again. I'm a horrible blazblue player.
-
Instantblock anything possible Wait for a hazama 214D~A(or C) DP distortion>66A>j.5DD>dj.2DD>j.214D~C>j.2C>2DD>air swords>j.214D. That will probably be your main damage against hazama if he does any of that.
-
And even just catching your opponent with an Oki in the corner will guarentee 4K more at minimum, with no heat used. This lets you build up to 100 heat for a hilarious double/triple RC combo. I prefer: j.5B(Overhead) or 2B(low)>[6]6B>3C>RC>5CxN>6C>236D>214D~C>214D>4~B>2147D>RC>5CxN>6C>236C>446A>Air swords>j.214D
-
You mean to say that you haven't imported it and used gecko os to load it region free yet? Well, Lambda has literally everything except for vertical attacks and meterless DPs. That is pretty good. Also I prefer now ending my corner combos with 44B>2DD>TK>236D(Oki) In other news, 3C(Ch)>Gravity(Whiff)>662C>6C>236C makes for a hilarious midscreen combo.

I think i'm only winning matches because I'm annoying my opponents my humming or singing rather repetetive vocaloid songs, causing them to screw up <.< Looking back at my matches, I'm pretty terrible compared to my peak in CS2

True. He was probably as new to blazblue in general as I am to using relius. (Like, first 10 matches new) -

Alright, though since that combo builds 65 meter, wouldn't it be ok if I used it? i mean if I hit 100% meter, i will be wasting potential heat gain. Would I be able to omit the final 5C(2)>4D>6C>Distortion and just go 3C>Unblockable Reset? I can't play right now so I can't test it. -

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2AtWo9kDS20 (@ 6:31) I know I'm terrible at everything but combos, but how can I improve? (Also, I started trolling when I realized i could win regardless of how I played) -

Yeah I'll just do a dashing 4B when i have 50% meter then. I think i prefer j.214D>Oki to 1040 damage anyways. All my heat is gonna be used for RCing and CAing. Sickle mixup with J.B is pro.
