Persona 5 music is too legit.

I've got my own minor gripe; those hd setups. On 360 I notice they have the same problem they did in Blazblue - a very slight display lag. I had a hard time punishing Jackie/capitalizing on my combos, which is why I preferred getting on the CRT setup each time. Astaroth had me outmatched, but I was type salty when he came from outside the screen to air command grab me. It's like anyone not used to playing hd on xbox has to choose between losing a couple frames or not being able to see themselves in the corner.

Yeah, after thinking through my tournament performance I realized I need to be covering Thanatos more. I've been watching Liz footage, especially Damosu, since last night and figuring out how I'll fix mine; I've already got ideas for some potentially excellent new tech forming. The insight on her maziodyne is interesting, but I think it can also be more versatile than that. Same with her agi moves.

Had some fun, some salt, the works. Great show out there guys, I'm impressed by everyone's progress. I thought I had a good start, and it was a bit disheartening at first, but I'm sticking by Elizabeth. Sorry if my bitching got annoying, it just felt really silly to get shown how easily she can get blown up mid tournament. I'm going to be developing some new tech for the next tournament, so watch out. Y'all won't beat me so easily next time. :@ @Jackie - Really nice Narukami. He's really frustrating to fight, but I've already found an answer to some of his silliness. Now I've only got to hit the lab and work it out. @Milln -Don't sweat it. We ended up being tired as fuck anyway. Again, I really appreciate you coming to get me for this. Yosuke is also coming along nicely, I think you just have to work more at being completely unpredictable. @Papstr - HE LIVES! You should work on capitlizing off of Teddie's item setups. I'm not knocking on your playstyle, but as people get used to the game and characters, a purely rushdown Teddie won't be as effective. @KO - I know you didn't even go to this, but I had fun getting bodied in Project M. Maybe one day when I know how to take full advantage of Smash's movement options I'll be able to give you a real fight. @Naimat - Sorry if I got irritating, I was just really frustrated with myself and Elizabeth's apparent weakness, but the things you pointed out made me realize I just have to keep working at it. Week one Elizabeth isn't going to be nearly as effective as other characters without amazing raw talent and exceptional yomi. @Tad - Thanks for letting me be a bum, man. I could not have fought Boom Cube properly without that smoke. We definitely need to get some Persona in, and I know I somehow end up giving you more regrets than matches at each tournament, but whatevs. I got mad respect for ya. @Phil - Good shit man, your Chie was coming along crazy fast. Dunno if you were serious or not, but if so, I hope you change your mind about Persona. STAY WEEABOO YOUTH CULTURE FOREVER. @Astaroth - Oh man, that match. I somehow had it in my head that I didn't have to worry about your skill because it was Liz vs. Kanji. You then took a chair upside my head to show me just how dumb that was, lolz. I need more legit Kanji match-up xp. I've got you next time. @Kain - I like how you don't rely on Lab's DP - I was trying to bait it that entire time and you ended up taking advantage of that. Don't stress so much about beginning losses and shit; we've all got work to put in. Just keep going at it, learn everything you possibly can about the game and you'll get where you want to be eventually. At least that's what I keep telling myself, lol. I couldn't help but laugh a little when you said that before our match. Don't base you expectations on netplay warriors, man. The only other remotely decent Elizabeth I've encountered was Bace. @Boom Cube - Good shit. Even with you coming to grips with Persona and facing a disadvantageous match-up, you still had me sweating. If I hadn't managed to tech that last tick throw the match would've been yours. Fucking bear puns. Are we gonna doubles at each tourney now?

Well, Kriss flaked out on me, so I'm probably gonna have to catch a ride with my mom when she goes to drop my step-dad off at the air port. This might mean I won't be in time for doubles, but I should be there for singles. I'll try and talk things out with her, but it is sudden. =/

So what teams do we have so far? I've heard Naimat and Boomcube, Papstr and Jackie, I think? Tad and Astaroth, Star and myself. That's the only ones I know, and I'm not even sure on those.

Yeah, the counter is so simple it's surprising to me when people complain of dp mashing. It's like they're sending big flowery written invitations to combo all over their face.

Is that invincible lightning thing Kanji's dp? How in the balls do you deal with that fucking thing? Nevermind, figured out how he works. This is the first Kanji I've fought who really actually thought about the buttons he was pressing.

They were thinking that it's already really good, and really should only be used to counter.

Liz's dp just beats it outright. =P

Teddie's basically dodges it, the counter doesn't go through.

Reads come instinctive to me, breaking down the finer points of the match-up not so much.

As Star and I get better, the matchup is starting to feel more and more like 7-3. It's not absolutely frustrating, but we're starting to see Mitsu's advantage. Looking back, I realize I'm being rather vague. Without frame data there's not much I can say; I'm not exactly gifted with analytical skillz.

I'd have to ask Star about the rest, but I know Coup is only safe once fully charged. I never said that she didn't have excellent tools, just that for a character that's supposed to outclass mine terribly whilst being S, the match-up isn't all that frustrating, and I usually only lose because I made bad reads.

I can see bitching about Aegis to an extent, but Mitsuru isn't even that great. For an S-tier character with a supposed 7-3 match-up with Liz, she's actually pretty fun to go up against.
