  1. That's a bit shallow... Looks like they held back on her. As for Bullet, there's definitely something holding her back. I'd take a look, but her videos are too painful for me to watch. Wait, are we talking like worse than Makoto's craptastic defense?
  2. I A-O-K with B-tier. But it still eludes me how Izayoi still sucks after so much time has passed. I'm guessing she didn't have hidden potential to begin with. That, or no one is using her correctly. And wtf? Bullet bottom? But she has kicks! lol
  3. I didn't know about the 5CC combo after parrying. No RC or anything, right?
  4. As I said, I won't mind the lag as long as it is a fun match. I won't take it too seriously unless the opponent requests it. (and then I meet my maker anyways, lol) Besides, I know for a fact that no connection is as bad as Brawl. Basically unplayable.
  5. Not entirely true. It's about the same whenever I go on my friend's PS3 in my experience, and the PS3 has a lot more games that caught my attention recently, so I have multiple reason to get one. The free internet is a bonus. Any dollar I can save a month is better in my eyes. Besides, I'd be glad to play you with lag. I need to get used to that stuff, it's the main thing that's killing my netplay Makoto right now. Besides, lag has it's funny moments. I remember both me and another Makoto started the fight with Lvl3 5D right off the bat, and then a lag spike hit for the slow-mo exact same time hard-hitting hilarity. Using 5D like that is not preferred, but I was thinking "eh, whatever." *both players charging, release, BOOOOOOM!*
  6. It's still sounding more hopeful than Xbox, and I can learn from Bibi and Stargazer easier and more conveniently than on XBL. Last time me and Bibi met up on XBL, it was a disaster. we couldn't accurately play at all, because the lag was shifty. I can't tell you how many lvl3 Drives I dropped, and my combos were non-existent.
  7. MUST... GET... PSN...!!! There's so many more Makotos to practice with on PSN than XBL. Gratz on beating an Unlimited Ragna, what was your strategy there? Plan A: Mash and possibly die. Plan B: Noob Tactics! (die) Plan FTS: Give it your best shot, still possibly die ;D
  8. Hey, it's cool to beat the crap out of the opponent while they are down in Blaz. It's not like the other characters play fair anyways, so abuse it, lol. You're playing as the fairest character in the game, so you have the right to play a little dirty. And you think your fundamentals are out of whack? You should see me, I may sound (somewhat) like I know what I'm talking about, but believe me, I am bad at Blazblue. xD
  9. Yeah, what Yazu said. Returning to neutral wouldn't be so bad if Makoto had some ranged poking ability. Pokes do not exist with her. I define pokes as something like this; "an attack that is safe on block and has good range, used primarily for baiting without too much risk" No such thing in Makoto's case, you just have to outperform the opponent and keep whatever momentum you have going. You wouldn't dare go back to neutral with Tao, would you? lol
  10. I'd be more hype if it was more like Melee. It doesn't have to be the exact same, because I'm not a super hardcore "Melee is better than Brawl" fanboy, I just didin't like brawl as much in the long run. Gameplay leaned more on luck and noob tactics rather than actual skill, and the balance was god-awful. (and not in my favor either, being a Link and Ganondorf player) If the new one is anything like that, I think I'll pass. Nice to see good ol' Megaman back though, but the rest of the new characters I don't really care much for. Where's my Black Knight from Fire Emblem?
  11. Cabbage? Yes. But at least we are not lettuce. We could have it as rough as some bottom tiers I've seen in other games, they were borderline useless. For that, I'm thankful.
  12. I wasn't talking about OP bs, I'm talking about "tactically gimmicky" bs. xD It kills bursts and everything, and still manages to be somewhat useful, but still easily punishable. Come to think of it, I don't think Makoto has any OP moves in Ex. :/
  13. I learned about it just by playing her, I didn't need a wiki to realize how bs of a move it was. xD Anything that moves forward with a good amount of invuln with low profile is pretty jacked up, lol.
  14. That's strange, because I see it occasionally work against Jin's aerial ice blades as well. You could land a direct hit, and you'd see the invuln effect. Idk, just a weird move altogether, but it was one of the best things I experimented with while learning Makoto. The day I saw myself spinning through Spike Chaser with it, I'm just laughing and thinking "how does that make any f**king sense!?" xD
  15. I thought projectiles gained foot attribute? lol, I'm confused.
  16. ...Dammit. lol. I'm not very observant, am I? I was curious about that question since 3C may wind up useless without projectile invuln, I doubt it will low profile anything unless the hitbox changed. But in Ex, 3C is easily one of the most ridiculous moves in the game.
  17. Just like the parry. lol Good ol' days, even though I didn't get to try that broke ass parry myself. I honestly thought the old versions of j.2C and parry sucked at first. Then I realize too late that they were too damn good to be true, lol. I can see why they got nerfed. I don't see the rhyme or reason for the other nerfs though, weird. Keeping it related to CP, what move changed the most dramatically in terms of usefulness/uselessness outside of 3C?
  18. Being as unexpected as possible is sometimes a good thing. It's a shame half the moves Makoto has to try different things with is easily countered against and are the most reactable. But if that random 2C lands, oh my... lol
  19. Maybe I didn't mean that second part (as much). But definitely the first statement.
  20. I take my losses like a man and continue playing. You don't learn anything just kicking people who are better than you, and you don't learn anything from beating people weaker than you either. Lol, I know what you mean there, I hate back and forth inputs for defensive maneuvers like that, but still, the parry is useful in certain scenarios, like Ragna's BE and Jin's Ice Car. Plat's Heart Car is also nullified by it. Once you parried them, you got them right where you want them.
  21. Parry that stupid Heart Car move to make her think twice about abusing it. I think you can even DP if you catch it at the right moment. Everything else should be self-explanatory. That blockstun is annoying though. She hits like a mini Tager.
  22. Rough draft everything before the actual programming. Get character biographies, artworks, plotlines, features, and other unique traits to the game done on paper first. Be nitpicky with your own work, and improve on it from there on, and keep adding to it. Once you have it all practically blueprinted, you will be ready for the actual programming, and there are tons of useful programs on Google to learn off of. It's still going to be hard work regardless, no matter how much experience you have with this kind of project. But once you have a firm grip on what you are doing, your only limitation is how far you want to take it.
  23. I'd better save this conversation for another thread, lol. But yes, that's what I meant by 0's sometimes being decently playable. It's hilarious when you are playing perfectly on a connection that's supposed to be irritatingly bad.
  24. Heck, I commend you on that if you can play Makoto with 0's (although some 0's have surprising connection IME)
  25. SQUIRRELS WERE MADE TO CLIMB. KEEP IT UP GORO.
