No. The word you are looking for is "horrifying." It's an understandable mistake.

Wait WHAT? sauce please! (source please) MAXIMUM EXCITEMENT ACHIEVED! EDIT: NVM found it. Sure enough ~214C is right under ~214B It says イド ザイン Which I believes translates to Ido Zain or something similar. (I think that's what it says, though in Japanese Id Naiads is spelled Ido Naia) Someone run that through the Engrish to English translator, then through the English to Latin translator. I see it as a possible corner damage adage or some new-fangled way to get Oki. I can see them letting us get ez midscreen damage without Ignis present, so I'm hard pressed to imagine much else. My big problem is now we have more follow-ups than Id Laugers... (well If you counted 5B/3C link then we always did...)

Relius player here. 6A can be made safe before and after with 6D. We will often try to sneak it under the radar without 6A to protect the start-up because 2 6Ds are expensive and we've got a lot of health to get trough here. look out for 6A after a falling air normal or 2/5B. Magna Tech Wheel can win if we don't have 50% gauge to rapid j.C. Usually we do because we only spend that stuff on Rapids and counter assaults. Backdash doesn't win that situation. In fact backdash never wins when Ignis is out anymore. Period. Since the nerf happened it will occasionally just give Relius a 2700-3400 damage combo with an incredibly low Ignis cost, and that's just midscreen. OD>720C might work. It hasn't been done to me in that situation. I feel like 236D might catch you before we touch the ground though, but I could be wrong. We have airgrab for jump-outs. look for it if you do manage a jump, because it's coming. I don't think quick wake-up gets people up in time for that though. If Ignis is too close to the corner you can roll past her though. (But with Tagers hitbox that might be a risk in itself.) I feel like "falling j.C>rising j.C>j.2D" is better for addressing Tager. As a rule I generally use j.C or Ignis in my oki because Tager is a little handsy. As it stands falling j.C catches rolls, overheads, beats butter churning, lets us get a high damage 5B air hit if you backdash, and can beat Magna Tech Wheel if done low enough to the ground (We touch the ground and can block then punish.) If 6A is going in my oki it's assuredly going to be "3C ender>Tus>jump forward>j.C>6A>6D" or something along those lines.

That does look to be the size of it. If you look closely at Noel, she flashes red when hit, indicating a counter hit.

I only have 3 years of Japanese under my belt (2 high school years, 1 college) So I couldn't really understand that... ^_^ Is there anything else that was super important that the gent said?
-
Is that so? I must have missed it then =P

Lambda's new move into 236C looks like it'll wreak trains. (You know, if it actually combos) Looks like Celica's got those ground to air confirms down (I still don't see that heal ball being used over a Rapid.) I called Lambda's OD making her swords bigger so you all owe me money.

Who do you play? Large AoA moves are pretty dandy. Something like Ignis' 4D goes miles for keeping her in place. Once you get her blocking you hold on tightly and don't let go. If you wait you'll be in pressure and mix-up forever, so if you can pin her in neutral you're better off.

And then there's the fact that I don't have the english version, so those messages are translated into Japanese so I can't understand... O_o

If you are trying something like 3C>22C(lvl3) I have a suggestion. the 3 from 3C counts as one of the 2s in the 22C input, so you can do 3C (lift thumb) 2C for 22C. Because the additional 2 will eat a input you this is better for getting lvl3. Even I with my slow as molasses thumb can get a lvl3 occasionally this way.

I have a peeve! Well not a peeve really, but more a complaint over something that make me feel powerless rather than irritated. I don't like it when I'm playing a set or something and I do something to irk the other player to where they're clearly upset, and they don't tell me what it was that upset them. I feel like I'm continually being a jerk and I don't know what to change, and I feel like crap about it. Like I always use Relius in the lobby (Unless by accident I mashed and I was using Tao in training mode before hand.) Some people get angry because I don't hold back against anyone no matter who they may be or at what level they are. I always go all out and use anything I think will help me win. That's my style. If anyone ever said "Ease up" I would, but they never do, and I'm also afraid of disrespecting people by holding back. It's also stressful finding the right time to leave a set of fights when I want to fight someone else, join a friend's room, leave for work, do dishes, or whatever. People get randomly angry, no matter who won or lost the last match, or whether it was a single match, five, ten, or thirty matches, I always seem to trigger people when I go. Stuffs hard to deal with.

[CPEX] Celica A. Mercury Gameplay Discussion Thread
Myoro replied to Grimsley-San's topic in Celica A. Mercury
I wanted Terumi to be more difficult to play than Hazama. ;_; Maybe there'll be hope in CPII She kinda seems like a lighning bruiser based on what I've seen thus far and nothing else. 4 moves doing 2.8K, with the last move doing more than 1K has me believing. Whether or not she'll be easy, hard, or good is up in the air right now. -
Well on wake-up if you load 2363214 then press C if you see something Vinum will counter you can cover your bases. if you don't see anything you'll still be holding 4 (or will be able to press 1 on short notice) and you can block anything vinum wouldn't get. Since vinum doesn't work on Haku's 6B I used it as an example. As a reversal I think it works well on Valkenhayn's wolf form, and no one else. It still has uses though.
-
Quoting myself feels weird but re-typing my words is non-pragmatic.
-
I like it 500% more than 632146C. If I choose not to reversal last second 2363214C has me blocking on wake-up, making it perfect for fighting against Haku's 6B and such. Also It's had me catch a few people with 236C serendipitously when they teleport behind me. (Az, Koko) And the worst possible input for a reversal is Carl or Hazama's astral. Let's count ourselves lucky.
-
Now before you write it off as impossible, remember that OD Black Hole exists. I'm definitely hyped for potential Relius changes.
-
Or both. Both is good.
-
Have you ever actually done 2363214C while in OD? What possible addition would make that worthwhile? OOOH NECRO! What if it did what the glitch does and pulls up the gears even on block!
-
So, word around town is every DD is gonna get a OD form. Best case scenario: 2363214C loses all of its properties in OD, gains a hit-box, gets better P1/P2, and becomes a real man's DP. Likely scenario: More gear hits that do a tiny bit more damage with slightly longer hitstun that will be used for nothing because OD is only used to kill at this point. Worst case scenario: BB Santa Claus forgets about Relius completely, or OD vinum's additional hits actually hurts its utility like Bios or somehow destroys Vinum's reset potential which was the only thing going for it.
-
So during OD Lambchop's 5D sword got bigger and did more damage. 5DD did 648 originally and 777 in OD. I think it would have done more if the 5DD was enhanced as well, but the first hit killed Nu and ended OD. There may have been an additional effect added to her drives follow-up (IE untech time, launch, vacuum, whatever) that we did not get to see as a result of the premature end. this is supported by the fact that a meager difference of 129 damage is hardly OD damage material.

My favorite way to use j.2D is to IAD>Immediately j.2D>j.B>665B>stuff Baits anti-airs, confirms into combos or pressure easily, covers tons of area. If you use j.xD and you're out of range of follow-up 4D will usually peg them once they tech, and from there 214C will hit their guard or get them in a combo (even though it doesn't look like it will.) Since for most characters airdashing=commitment, they will almost always try to anti-air you. If Ignis gets hit you can do 5B>6B>j.B>j.C>2C>6C>41236B>5B>5C>sj>j.B>j.C>j.236C~214B for damage and a full Ignis I think If she does a normal hit you can just do the usual 3C route If they jump I think you might be able to catch them with j.B>2C>6C If j.xD counterhits you can land and use Tus and they will tech into pressure or be blue comboed. Someone should do more reasearch into j.xD to see what situations it can be used in.
-
So how much damage should we be getting from each of our confirms? Also how do I use my meter with Tao, other than CAs?
-
j.214D>j.A>2B>2C>[2]8D~B>5B>5C>6C>236C~B the 2 direction held from 2B and 2C is enough to do trick edge.

I gotta drop out of this one. Was called in for work tomorrow =P.
