No one at SVGL at 7-9 today made me . Oh well, get hype for tomorrow! Tao, Tsubasa and I are expecting to arrive around 9-10 probably, and I'll bring some extension cords. He has two or three surge protectors as well.

Since Tao left on the note that Kelvin would win if he took both 2 out of 3s, an idea was not proposed. The format was: -----------Orion Kelvin Chun Orion--------X-----?-----? Kelvin--------?----X-----? Chun--------?-----?-----X So everyone fought one another once for two out of three. The fourth button was noticeably unresponsive; you had to slam the button pretty hard in order to have the input come out. My idea was to have everyone experience both input configurations; crappy 1P set and normal 2P set and see who would win matches (2v3, but twice, for every person). Then everyone would have the same experience; but I thought this up after my loss, and I didn't propose it because it wouldn't be fair to Kelvin after his victory,as well as bloat things. I was pretty salty at the time as well because of the dropping combos on 1P, and my own performance at the time too. Might be time to take a break before NCI... ~Chun

If it wasn't that high up, it'd get vandalized, or eventually fall off; that spot just happened to be a place where it could support its own weight and be noticeable, and was agreeable with Jason, the manager of SVGL. Coopa told me to find a way to keep the poster in a relatively good condition, and I think just an added sign on the cab for the next person that swings by SVGL might help. ~Chun

I can't go tomorrow. The plans I made for the original qualifier on the 15th (Sunday) with stream which was recently canceled locked in my schedule this weekend, and that same 9AM-1:30 PM slot I have networking to do for a jewelry shop. I still would like to try for the spot, but I can't cancel. I can show up in the afternoon to fight Orion and Willy later if they're the only ones there. That's it. [/disappointment] ~Chun

Side Note: Since I arranged plans for the Berkeley qualifier earlier, I set some work aside for Saturday morning last week. However, now that it's not in Berkeley or being streamed on the Sunday (15th), me attending the 9-12AM round-robin is looking pretty 50-50 at SVGL. I'll see what I can do...

I'll see if SVGL can hold one. At this rate, the ones who are interested should inpromptu play on cabinet at SVGL or something. Unless said interested person wants Makoto or Mu-12... Otherwise it's probably looking like Dacid, Dabbit, and Goryus... SVGL Special

Is there a way to do individual character-only of these? I've been also thinking I might want to use that background for a custom stick skin, mind posting the wall by itself here?

I need to know if the Berkeley qualifiers are going to happen on the 15th or some other place; there are other plans I have that depend on the date. If anything I say do the someone's house spot or voting majority of sorts if no stream.

It's a setup that MB people can use, a TV that is CRT, not an LCD.

Just got off the phone with Tsubasa; I'll be bringing my TV and my PS3 for BB with Makoto DLC. The TV is relatively new, be gentle, or the parents will have my head.

Actually it's a standard 4:3. I had the impression that if Tsubasa lends us his monitor for a BBCS setup, the TV could be used for MB and/or GG. Unless you were looking for a widescreen TV...

It's a Television, not a monitor, and it has the typical VGA input. I'll need whoever I'm traveling to Berkeley with to assist me with it though, a bit heavy.

I happen to have a 26" CRT that's just sitting at my house, so maybe that could work out then. ~Chun

An hour twenty drive? There's nothing closer to SVGL and not way up the peninsula for a vs qualifier? Makes me wonder if we could do a pre-qualification on site early rather than this. I'd think the best thing to do would be to gauge the people that are interested in representing then have those people duke it out than to drag everyone to another random day in another location, unless the streaming of qualifying for 3v3 is the keypoint here. Side Note: I didn't give up on SJSU, but I did tell the president of Game Dev to forget about reserving the room, since it seemed like people were set on this Berkeley thing and the fee situation wasn't favorable.
