  1. I meant a site that doesn't look like a blogring template banner top with a stock background. Something that actually uses javascript, PHP, and maybe inclusion of flash. And yes, this isn't the first NCI, this is the 500th time you've mentioned this, lol.
  2. I'm hoping you didn't commit us Crosell, I only wanted information first, hahaha. I'M A COMPUTER SCIENCE MAJOR WITH EXPERIENCE IN HTML GET AT ME CS does not stand for CONTINUUM SHIFT I'll run the questions I have by them and go from there. Rin, you act like the CS Club was the most horrible place you ever went, seriously, lol.
  3. P.S. I've been thinking over and figuring an updated website for NCI to add presence on the side. Though not much is created yet, haha.
  4. Sure, send me your number through PM and I'll call you up either late tonight or Friday/Weekend. Let me know.
  5. Ah, I was under the assumption that you asked him of your own accord, either way it's good info, thanks.
  6. I enjoy the fact you kept me updated about what you were doing with anything related to NCI, or that you were still part of doing anything NCI related for that matter, lol. I'm still against the T-Shirt pitch at this stage of the game. I'd love to collab with Koogy about this but the budget would be far over-extended than it already is for the final.
  7. There's no profit to be had currently. The budget for NCI is nowhere near the ability to flex for venues before the not-set-in-stone huge NCI at the end of the year. NCI T-Shirts are not a bad idea altogether either. But there's simply not enough overhead to facilitate the 400$ necessary at this time, as gdlk as that would be. The only other solution would be committing to T-shirt orders ahead of time so Koogy is guaranteed the profit he's expecting for the manufacturing. As easy as it may sound now, out of respect for Koogy I really don't want to butt into his company process without his consent or consulting first. We don't know what plans he already has currently after the recent success at NCR and should not operate under this assumption. The two-day thing sounds plausible, but in the best interest of all scenes it might be a good idea to keep it together. The feedback of tournament organizers/runners would be appreciated before I figure this out ultimately. I'm banking on Crosell's idea at the moment. ~Chun
  8. Drom's is too small, the Concord venue says 10$ a person, and Shadowbrookes isn't answering me. I'd err on the side of things probably not happening this month, unless we have an office venue or something that was in the previous NCIs.
  9. I watched your match video from SCR, your Hazama got a lot better, I'm really impressed!

  10. Get me that location name ASAP, otherwise December will not have an event; Drom's might not be available the first Saturday.
  11. I've been trying to contact Shadowbrooke's by phone and I keep getting met with a number that doesn't exist, or an empty dial tone. I've been mulling over other possible venues such as GameKastle, but I feel they might not fit our needs. Just litmus testing for how much the turnout would be if we held it in Davis. ~Chun
  12. I'm thinking Drom's Comics in Davis. How much of the GG/MB crew would make it if I went with this area?
  13. I appreciate the offer, but what am I if I can't be a reliable host? It'll be a quick call next afternoon. ~Chun
  14. I will contact Shadowbrooks sometime this week. ~Chun
  15. Just got off the phone with the venue Coopa mentioned. If we go along with it, Venue Fee: 10$ a person, the place would be rent out. Hours: 10AM to 11PM, but after 11PM is ok because management decides hours. Accommodations: High speed internet, possibilities of providing setups (But I believe it'll cost lest to be own) So this might be a chill place for the bigger NCI in the future I.E. Eudemonia-like, but I don't see it being the monthly spot. Drom's is looking more likely. ~Chun
  16. Goes without saying probably, but the bi-weekly this week has no event planned, so there is no addition for that. As for the venue coopa linked me, I'll give them a call to see what they would want in terms of compensation. If it's within reason for the venue fee and associated expenses, we might go for it. Otherwise Drom's might be the other only option.
  17. WE'RE GOING TO MAKE A FIGHTING GAME OUT OF THIS. NO EXCEPTIONS. OH WAIT NEVER MIND IT'S ALREADY MADE
  18. Really my biggest concern is the venue for next month. Dates are fine given the circumstances of academic schedules, but if we don't have a place to hold it it's a little edgy. Thanks for the offer of your place GGJ, but I don't think you'll want your house on public location for anyone to come and play. Soniti, if it is possible to hold a tournament in CSUS, I sincerely doubt anyone really cares if money goes into a pot or not, so long as it's not completely obvious. The CS Club holds these events because of the partial funds raised towards the club events. So long as you don't make it sound like a bloody pit of chicken fighting pools I think it could be possible. But I'm not holding my breath on it, more venue ideas would be appreciated.
  19. Remember nate, the key to a good Orion matchup is to have ruffled, disorganized ones under the TV.
  20. Announcement: The CS Club CANNOT AND WILL NOT host NCI in December due to the fact it is a week before finals start, and many will not have the time to oversee the event. As a result we need a different venue, preferably a free one. If anyone has any ideas do reply to the thread, as I'm actively thinking of another location as well. ~Chun
  21. Was browsing videos and overhead the announcer say "PrinceHyphy on BlazBlue". Glad you're so involved now man! Haha

  22. I changed it because I use voice cues to time my combos during my match, I hadn't had the time to train without them, and was what I am used to hearing in the arcade. Admittedly I hate Litchi's English voice. ~Chun
  23. I'll take responsibility for that. As much as I pushed for the registrations to end promptly, I found that across games many people weren't arriving until the later hours, probably because most didn't know the time designations per game, or thought they couldn't make it. Most people arrived for Melty, Guilty at around 2-3 PM so the schedule was offset. Also, streaming was put out of the equation to my knowledge then brought in at the final few moments, so things in the top 4 and 8s took longer than I planned. I had to make a good amount of judgment calls in terms of when to start what event, in the best interest of the scene. I could have been a complete hardass about the time schedule and cut registrations per game at the times I said, but ultimately I feared the stigma I would get for doing that to the people that I knew and weighted it out for the people that were new. As much as I encourage timely attendance, people don't appear within reason, and that makes my job harder from a moral standpoint. I hope to improve the scheduling as it seems that people cannot make a 12PM and 2PM time for various reasons, but also account for timeliness for a more professional view in preparation for the future. Like usual, do leave feedback with any concerns you did have, as I wasn't able to check hourly like I did last month. ~Chun
  24. Side note, I still totally didn't write the Litchi rap, so that makes me marginally better in the saddest way possible. MAN TEN BOU HEYYYYYYY
