  1. Anyone in a general proximity to SVGL willing to give me a ride there? Fremont/Milpitas people as well? I can take buses to the closest proximity to save on gas... Amtrak round trip is too rich for my blood right now (30$ one way >>)
  2. You will never speak of it again. Also, I'm up because 1. I'm having some trouble sleeping around here, and 2. Since I'm going into BlazBlue withdrawals for not playing since AX or so, I've been watching my own videos and formulating strats. ...Which is to say I'm trying to get to sleep finding a good image layout to work my stick with... Why do you neglect her so, Japan...

  3. I'm saying 5 PM might not be the time SU closes in September, during the normal school year. I'm checking with the office tomorrow morning. Also Side Note: Tao, where am I supposed to be posting information? I keep seeing Berkeley info in the Norcal thread and I keep posting my info here.
  4. X is the rate of 75$ an hour after closing hours. So a rough guess of 9 PM or 8 PM tournament finishes at an assumed 5PM, if we reserve two days it'd be 225$ for 3 hours overtime. Otherwise a normal hours rate + 225 for Saturday till 8 PM. Also, Tao where did you get 165$, is that the current rate right now? According to my research it's 100$ a day, so it'd be 200$ for two days. When the school year resumes its normal schedule, the Student Union to my knowledge will be open till at least 9 PM on a Friday; most club meetings had that kind of hour. WE ALSO HAVE THE POSSIBILITY WE WILL NOT BE CHARGED AT ALL FOR THE ROOM DURING NORMAL SCHOOL HOURS UNDER THE GAME DEVELOPMENT CLUB. So Summary for SJSU: if (venue IS AFTER August 25) { Friday = 100$; //This actually could possibly BE FREE, SINCE STUDENT ORGANIZATIONS ARE NOT CHARGED FOR USAGE OF THE ROOMS AS IS. Saturday = 100$; //HOURS PENDING Cost = Friday + Saturday; if (venue IS AFTER Closing Hours of SU) { Cost += (Every Hour x 75$) } else { }//Need to finish talks with SJSU ~Chun
  5. Probably not; I'm pretty low on money since AX (Which was my first one, mind you, haha) so I'm done with conventions this year. The next one I'll be at is Fanime2011 and AX 2011.

  6. Options might open beyond 5PM if the arrangement is during the normal school schedule (Also known as After August 25th). I'll keep things updated.
  7. There were a lot of good Hazamas there, but yes, I do remember you. I really can't wait for console release, so I can play with all the people I've met of the past again, haha.

  8. The reason why I've been doing research in SJSU is because I've heard from multiple people that Eudemonia Berkeley on a Saturday is hell to pay for parking and arrangements (And I've been to UC Berkeley enough to experience said parking concerns), and SJSU has been a pretty solid setup for Melty and GG in the past. Either way I can cancel SJSU if I have at least 48 hours notice beforehand, just decisions need to hitconfirm into special arrangements.
  9. Well the first step is the deciding the exact date, and confirmation. Then I need to relay the info to our Club rep. ~Chun
  10. Every time I call SJSU they Counter Assault my call.
  11. So after talking it over with the Litchi in the back of my head, we as Chinese citizens decided it'd be cost effective since I could spare 10$ for at least 5 matches with the prospect of winning 10 more. 10 matches is about a tournament cycle. Haven't played you since before AX Dacid. Be ready. Absolutely. ~Chun
  12. Unfortunately Dacid, I don't Money Match people; it goes against my personal fighting game policy. But... I'll think about it. The hype alone might be worth the trouble to break my own rules just once. Also Tao: (408) 924-6300 This is the front desk, they organize the rooms and schedule the dates for booking. Umhunum and the other giant rooms for 90-100 people are all fully booked for August 21st. So we talked about the normal conference rooms, which comfortably fit 50-60. Process at SJSU as follows: -Make Reservation (As Officer of a Club = 100$, As Random Guy who Wants Room = 200$) The reservation is the rate for entire duration that the Student Union is Open. -Meet with head or director of Student Union to confirm the deal. -Good to go. Notes: -We cannot go after hours in the SU without paying an extra fee per hour. -They require a 48 hour cancellation policy for the conference rooms. -Rooms come with one projector setup. We can bring all other TVs ourselves. -Location is 3rd Floor of SU. That's about it.
  13. Chun

Hello, how have you been? I don't remember which character you played at the time though, I'm sorry.

  14. Hmm... a 5 on 5? Where? When? I'm interested.
  15. This and that are two separate matters. There's going to win a future tournament, and there's going to show up someone across the country for a large sum of money for the sake of own pride. Way too serious for serious miscommunications.
  16. Threw 300+$ for a name in a game not many people play in America nowadays on short notice, small internet confirmation. Traveled across the country at the last moment just to fight a single person for a title of a character in a pool of players that could afford to go to EVO. Not for other present tournaments, the focus only being just this one match. Just throwing that out there, from what's been said.
  17. Rooms have a 30 day cancellation notice policy. If I can get the room for sure, we commit (Also known as, if I get the room before the 21st, we are going there, all things said and done, so start talks before reservation day). I'll have information ready (After research/calling/hitback) hopefully the next time I hit an internet connection. (Sun/Mon)
  18. I'll see if I can have a couple of people over for this. We could try Arcana Heart 2 :o But not this week. Way too busy.
  19. Clearly you two need to play Arcana Heart.
  20. Sorry I haven't kept people updated with the SJSU club bit. I think I've told a few of you this already, but I've already got the approval of the Game Developer Club in the hosting and running of game tournaments in the SJSU buildings. However, though I do have the officer consent, the three things that I am currently working on: 1) Instructor Approval (This allows for a substantially cheaper venue fee, and is required for Club-Sponsored work) 2) Scheduling and Room Organization (Which rooms are we looking into, I could use a re-link of the estimate costs from before) 3) Solidified Date (I heard early August, but that seems too short notice, I would have more luck in the later weeks of August in all Probability) Once this info is provided and the Instructor gives the go-ahead, I will personally look over the venue and gauge the size, then we make a date and figure out setups later. Sorry if this information comes late, but I ran this though a couple of people before (Primarily Agi and Tao, I thought I told you guys already that it was in the works). ~Chun
  21. I'm not going to make it because of the money on hand, and the restriction I put on myself. I need to win a Norcal tournament before I challenge outer-region scenes. Maybe next year; depends on how well I do in Season 3. ~Chun
  22. Am I reading this correctly? A3 travelled to EVO JUST TO MM HellMonkey?
  23. Lol A3Religion... I haven't read so much hard ego feeding since the time that one Nu player called out the BB scene.
  24. Not my taste, but it was a nice stick if it's the one from AX.
  25. I heard an internet blew up all over the world when GamerBee broke the Evo Special. Also, I definitely would like to play PNW again sometime in the near future. Great stuff from everyone in that scene, nice placing~ ...On another note, I never did play ZONG at AX. Late realization . ~Chun
