  1. I was feeling really discouraged at first, but I think I'll be ok once I pick up combo's. I was playing decent players (just two) so they aren't fools who fall for overheads all the time. It sucks 2B>2C doesnt connect anymore How are the combo's going? I'm not to great with them yet or making much use of the oppurtunities yet. TK loops are fun as hell but I can only get about 3 before dropping. Only doing the corner grab loop to start off. No way I can do 21479TKs, I gotta figure out what is the best alternate option Lambda is certainly not pick and play anymore, that's for sure
  2. I'm not sure if I'll play a rushdown Lambda, zoner, or a mix, too early to tell. The JC makes me feel constricted, my playstyle seems less distinguishable right now. I was refering to the non-counter DP combo, but thinking about it, most dp's should be counters. I haven't fallen for people baiting my dps yet, only whiffed DP's out of range. This seriously helps out on being over-pressured now Yaya, I didn't make too much use of 236A yet. The few times I tried I got bitch slapped on arrival Haven't gotten mashed out of 5D>236C or 5DD>236B, I mainly use 214D, people are deathly afraid of it, I just keep them locked if they jump and repeat, starts catching people out of frustration and fear I can certainly rush down, I dont know the combos or perform them well. My fundamentals are decent, but the steep learning curve and transition to Lambda will take time PS-Do the character sprites look smaller or more zoomed out?
  3. He's pretty right, Overheat. I was pretty oriented melee Nu, the transition is...heh, it's different, and CT can prepare you so much. Her combo's aren't quite so easy now. It's not that they're hard on a technical side, but they've very situational specific, a little bit on the strict side, TK's have to be done low to the ground, etc. I'm glad that I held back on over-using 2C in CT, I'm not completely missing TOO much in CS. Right now my main problem is working on the loops and memorizing and performing combo's. IB'ing into DP is so fucking satisfying. Now I just need to work on be being able to do damage with her DP. Which is like never.
  4. I noticed, it was mainly what I used, with a little 4DD and 236C in case they tried mashing jump (Saw AZU use it well). 236D is working for now, but this is crazy punishable against good players, a little afraid to use it and don't want to use it a lot just because it works on people new at this game. Out of curiousity, how long did it take you guys to do your TK loops reliably?
  5. So, now that 5D doesn't have its mixups anymore. What are good options and what's normally smart to do? I've been using a lot of 5DD>214D some 5D>236C 5DD>4DD Not sure what I should do for most 5DDs It doesn't feel like Lambda can be played as differently now as Nu, I think it's because Jump cancels are less occuring for mind games.
  6. Haha, I usually burst because Nu doesn't have the ability to get out of Carl and Nirvana. It's not quite the clap loop but it may as well be against her, since I know exactly what you'll do. Impossible to block attack jab into pressure until I'm hit low, jab, jab, crossover, Carl's super wheel All my health

  7. Ah, been playing COD a lot. There aren't too many good players on ranked and I'm forced to stop playing : / If you're free for games tonight, give me an invite, even if ya see me on COD

  8. Damn, that was crazy to watch. I'd love to play Mu like that.

  9. That Lambda's strongest area was definitely his corner pressure
  10. Exactly. Which is why I'm telling you to abuse it. In the corner it's powerful, it keeps people locked up and they have to tech immediately. I do 3C>214D all the time unless I have heat for a guarantee'd combo. 5DD>214D in the corner is awesome too. Try to see how many scrubs stay locked into 5DD>214 and keep spamming it, then do a 5DD>236D>RC, works great

  11. Sweet! I was trying to find a vid of me abusing 214D but I don't think any youtube vids have me doing it :( I found this link of me abusing 214D, this is why it's disgusting good. It's also gonna apply the same in CS except as a TK loop instead. Here http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lIPnvZPb0Q4

  12. I was having a very easy time doing TK's with the PS3's analog, but then my movement was kinda loose and sloppy. I'm certain I'll come to the PS3 eventually, I won't be playing too great unless I do something about a controller though

  13. By the way, I do have a PS3. I'm really bad on the PS3 pad though, I was having issues dashing and even doing TK's on that thing. I play a really mobile Nu but I was stiff. I wonder if I could find a ps3 pad kinda like the 360

  14. Yeah, providing I don't suck with playing with Lambda you can see my uploads on the leaderboards. Most of the stuff people put up on me are me doing a lot of stupid stuff or playing really simple. Yeah, it took me a while to realize 214D was such a good move. I started using it once I felt more comfortable rushing down. In CS it's godly because it breaks primers and adds pressure. Start trying it in your games for CT, when you don't have the heat, end your stuff in 214D, it really gets people nervous. And yeah, hopefully I can steal all your ideas and claim it as my own :P

  15. I use tons of 5DD>4DD>TK feint, IAD>pressure. Tick throws. Cross ups with j.c into jab/pressure/tick throws. Start using more spike chaser, that move is fucking godly. ESPECIALLY in the corner. Like, I know it's tempting, but in CT unless you have the heat you RC into a combo, instead of ending a combo with Nu's 236D, do 214D instead (for hits that land of course). Instead of doing a few hundred extra damage you either A.)Continue into more pressure B.)They don't tech in time and you get a free meterless 3000 damage combo C.)214D counters/land, and from there you can do a very easy combo that does between 6000-7000 damage with 50 heat I see you aren't using it. Don't just start using it, abuse it. More pressure and oki is far better that ending shit with wheel

  16. I just don't see it with Blood. Maybe it's one of those cases where the recorded vids just don't show the player right. Most vids of me on youtube are me at my worst or not doing too many fancy stuff. I dunno, that vid versus him and that Hakumen I do the same off too. I don't really teleport too much though. GG with you and that Nu. It looks like you're just beginning to start doing TK feints and getting the hang of it. I started off the same with way as you, at first I mainly only used TK feints from 5D to continue more. You're next step should be to get comfortable playing up close and doing TKs and doing feints up close for more pressure. Haha, here's a funny mixup Combo started, TK feint>dash>4B. Funny as hell. Works well against opponents who fear your mixup pressure Start getting comfortable doing TK's with melee moves now. I love doing 5D pressure into more feints, but that shit can get predictable too.

  17. Whatever. The only good band animes are Beck and Nodame Cantabile anyway. By the way, watched Mushishi. It was decent, but I expected amazing

  18. See why I didn't want to join DCXII's room now? I knew it'd turn into him critisizing everyone. Not sure what Cakeh and his friend are saying but I'm willing to bet it's stupid hateful and childish stuff. DC trash talking you about mashing jabs is hilarious, because he started mashing jabs in my blockstrings so I started adding more 2Cs and he got CH'd so many times.

  19. oh, wow, thats really awesome. i never thought of buffering it while blocking! that would make her sword drop useful. damn, so much to learn
  20. ?Really?! When I see people obviously going for oki pressure it's so slow they react and can stop. I do it RARELY too, so it's not them baiting it I don't have the skills to IB>Sword drop though, I feel too under pressure to input that so quickly
  21. Haha. Yeah, it's a shame Lambda's DP is a little slow, but it's better than her sword drop, it's the most garbage DP super ever. Her dp goes into a 3000 damage combo though, that's kinda nice
  22. Yeah, that's exactly what happens. It happens with Jin a lot, like, I'll go from blocking high, try to IB low but backdash instead and get hit. It's frustrating in CT though, I feel like I IB and then think, "great, Nu doesn't really have a reversal though". The DP will be nice TK's are pretty natural now, I kinda overdo it with TK feints in my gameplan, to be honest
  23. I can TK pretty consisitently on pad. I spent two days obsessively doing nothing but TK's until it clicked. I practiced doing 6A>TK feint over and and over again to see if I can at least start off ok with it when I get to Lambda Yeah, though, I'm usually backdashing when I'm trying to IB multiple things. Not returning to neutral long enough...hmm....Trying to think how to do that
  24. I've never used Carl beyond story mode (and it was a struggle to beat U Hakumen). I heard stick can be a little difficult for a lot of dashing/IAD. I do a lot of moving with Nu and most likely Lamda, so I'm a little antsy to switch to stick. IB looks so much easier on stick, one time I started blocking with the 360 analong and it came much easier. I'm accidentally backdashing in a corner while trying to IB, must be doing it too early
  25. Hey there. I have a question for you. Is Blood Gemni really THAT good? I had some not so flattering vids of me posted by Mac (with my permission though) and kinda got talked down to by Sophisticat from PSN. He mentioned him. Been watching Bloods vids...and...he's decent but I don't see the big deal, I wasn't blown away. He uses way too many teleports and does so many 4Bs that could get him countered big time. Does tons of 5C that leaves out mixup options. He wasn't bad but I didn't see why he'd be considered better than you Guess I wanted to ask you since we're both influenced by Dotsafety and play a little alike.
