  1. Yep, I learned that when you're against a good Hazama, you can't try to keep pressure from afar while he has meter. You can get supered charging up 214D~C from far away. Parcers are punished by him too. I am finding that fishing for j.c counters work nice when he chains wrong in the air Question about his distortion that hits from afar. Do you block it low, jump block it, what?
  2. GGs to you. Lambda's loops are pretty awful to do online. I can do them a lot better in 3 bar connection 2 bar is pretty iffy Some characters have wierd hitboxes so I gotta get better with that overtime. Still need to use other loops she has besides TKs too, but that takes more exerpience and time than skills

  3. She builds up heat so fast that's not even an issue. She does big damage without heat too. And god forbid it's enough to get you into the corner.
  4. What I don't understand is why the developers nerf Noel's air super, but then turn around and give a character a DP super that covers 3/5ths of the screen and is basically unpunishable. Really fucking stupid. There's absolutely no reason for Makato players not to throw this out randomly and on wakeups. It's also a free get out of jail card from oki. Wakeup supers should be be a gamble risk/reward thing, not absolutely free. If it's going to be unpunishable it needs to have tiny ass range. If it's going to cover that much screen, it should have an incredibly long recovery. God the developers are morons Definitely up there with Bang's 5A in terms of stupid and broken
  5. Well, you can try the 5C loops instead. Can't find as many opportunities to get it off except from a 236C
  6. They're not too awful. You have to also learn how to do it online, which is like learning it again I'm having some issues with certain characters hitboxes and the loop though. Carl, sometimes Litchi, Ragna, Tsubaki, Makato. The TK whiffs over their body if you're close them to them and do 214789. At this point half my TK's are in 9s just from so much practice
  7. I have some issues getting out of Tagers pressure without DP. Are there huge holes to poke with a jab or what? Second question. How rarely should 236B be used if the 5DD/4DD didn't land? I was getting hit by Tagers 5D and getting magnetized, and then kept getting pulled in. I realized just backdashing instead of IAD avoided that.

  9. ? I've poked a lot of Tagers out of spark bolt with the second j.2D. You're right about being magnetized though, once that happens, I'm way too afraid of being pulled in by 2D so I just play the waiting game till it wears off. 5DD>DP works, but I haven't gotten close to doing this on reaction when they sledge. This matchup only took a day and a half before it became easy again
  10. I'm in the same boat as you, I think I'd rather face Bang than Ragna. Today and yesterday I had multiple people counter pick me with Bang, but I won most of them Ragna is just...eh. I can't find a way to fight him. Same goes for Tao. Bang gets frustrating when he just throws jab after jab until one finally lands for big damage I found 6C worked really well on Nirvana, it pushes her so far back and damages her. Most Lambda's are awful I imagine, 2C is really bad, I do it in some blockstrings or once in a while by accident. I'm definitely not playing like Nu, but I am zoning a lot more now with Lambda than I was with Nu. I'm getting used to doing some TK loops in real games, but I still drop it quite often. I can really feel the lag now though, depending on when I try.

  11. Yeah, Xdest was telling me he felt it was at least 6-4 in his favor. Her drives are a lot safer so jabs and pressure is so much tighter, I couldn't even DP in the gaps since she jumped over it or crossed me up too. Plus, no godly 2C, 40 frames of recovery from D, 5B being shitty in range, and 214D being useless without D landing made it feel like she had no tools in the matchup. Try giving XDest an invite if you want to find a good Tao online, as long as there isn't lag he averages 3.5-4.5k from almost every landed attack

  12. Geez, I played against Xdest, I've seen japanese Tao players drop more Taunt combo's than him. This matchup feels a lot worse than 5.5, feels like she has no tools to deal with her. Hope ya make a matchup of Tao soon :D

  15. Yeah, I still needs tons of experience against Carl. I've only ran into 4 Lambda's so I don't even know my own matchup! I played Dourshi and lost, I usually beat him in CT dittos! I was unsure of how to go about it, except for him the other Lambda's were awful, I beat them so bad I didn't even get matchup experience Surprisingly, I'm finding myself less frustrated with Bangs than Ragna's. The only really legit Ragna I've played was Seifuku, who knows how to really be broken with him. Losing to Prototype909 and him catching me with so many cross screen desperation supers is really depressing, especially since I've barely been hit by a non-combo daifunka. The win ratio is deceptive, since you're matched with evenly skilled opponents. Even Japanese players like Hima, Minori and them don't have godly win ratio's because of it. Once you get around 200 PSR shit gets real and you lose more, I'm noticing top players have much lower win ratio's than CT

I'm no vet like Severin or anything, but 2147D after being Gadgeted is a terrible fucking idea If you're magnetized and they throw out an attack on your shit that may bring you in so close it whiffs and you're either countered or punished by whatever they want Online Tagers seriously mash desperately, 2147D will get you fucking smacked so much. Since it's not like in CT where counter TK's got you meterless 4K, the risk is just so not worth it Your best bests are A.) backdash B.)j.B 3.)DP It's a guessing game, TK shouldn't be part of that equation
  17. j.b is amazingly effective after GF. Tagers get insanely desperate when they get that first hit into GF and have tons of heat, so saving that DP for him mashing 720 is hilarious! The matchup is still so shitty for him. It felt a little harder at first, but now it's easy. Lambda basically has a slumber party with Tager and tickles him to death
  18. I've played over 200 games, and you're the second fucking Carl I've met. GGs. I really need to learn the matchup, it felt really atrocious and limited. I've been doing well, but when it comes to Ragna's, Bangs, I've been losing a lot to them, they're destroying my win ratio's. I really need to learn the Carl fight, I felt like I couldn't do much. I don't even know how to fight against Lambda's since I've literally only fought 4 of them. Online's fucking crazy stupid

  19. Andru, pretty sure you're just doing 6A at the wrong time. I know for a fact in CT Nu's 6A beat out Litchi's j.b all the time, can't imagine that's changed. In fact it beat out a lot of things. 6A only had issues when it was Ragna's j.c. If 6A isn't meaty she gets hit by the tip of his sword and lost every single time. Jins j.b was broken Haku's j.C had massive priority Those are the only anti air's it had issues really beating. 6A is a good anti air, it's range is just short
  20. I think you guy misunderstood me. I wasn't talking about CH 5D>236C being linked. Azu was using it as an anti air mindgame. 5D would be blocked, followed by them possibly jumping or mashing something and being anti air'd by the C parcer. I tried using it as a mindgame and it worked poorly. 5DD>4DD>DELAY>236C worked well, even against some good players. Just condition them with enough spike chasers. Throwing in 236B's makes 236D an actual mixup tool. I'm finding that 214D needs to be fucking abused. D attacks have like 40 frames of recovery, 214D seems to be a better zoning tool. Considering how much of the screen it takes the startup isn't too bad at all. Trades really well too. CH 5D has worked VERY well on Tagers. CH 5D only seems viable when you see a pretty big fuck up, or you think they're gonna fuck up. It doesn't have enough stun to do it purely on reaction. Not useless, you just have to know they messed up from far away or yomi it
  21. Tager, on the otherhand seems kinda creative. He's so incredibly gimmicky thanks to magnetism that I can see some cool stuff for him As much as I bitch about Lambda, I just can't see myself not maining her. I don't like the new characters enough. I don't like Hazama's blockstrings. He's definitely become the new Nu in terms of spamming and being annoying. I have to sit there and look for oppurtunities through the D spam. Lambda's swords clash with Hazama's so that kinda sucks : / Thanks for the info about his 5C attacks>pressure, I'm usually good with noticing gaps but didn't see that. Everytime I tried DP'ing against Ragna's I was pushed too far too so her dp was out of range even though it was done while they were open. My IB skills are very...eh. I have been doing well with a DP though. Yesterday I was DP'ing through people's blockstrings a lot without even IB'ing TK loops with lag is still...not good, it's way easier in training mode. Hopefully in time

  23. I'm not sure about MU. She's really awkward. So I watched some matchup info and watched vids. Apparently Lambda is supposed to spam 214D against Ragna like there's no tomorrow. She's gotta play keep away and zone the entire time. I think that matchup chart is going to change in the future, there's no way it's even, it's a 6-4 at the least in Ragna's favor

  24. 236A is good like...rarely The reality is that online, people will mash. And you'll lose 3000+ I dislike empty teleport a lot. I'll try to make a little more use of it, but it's pretty awful
  25. Yeah, I started getting better results zoning with a lot of 5DD>214D. Lamda isn't a pushover close up in general, but in this matchup, she's severely outclassed. 4DD stops becoming an option once Ragna has 50 heat. Wheel is too risky too Her teleport attacks are ruined thanks to Ragna's jesus kick
