Time to get some critique myself. I'm aware of my failure to hit-confirm those 2As, my brains always thinks that stuff is going to get blocked, gotta get rid of that habit. That and I failed to hit-confirm those j.B into some damaging stuff, Bang throws me off with his animation after being hit, I felt like I was too far for the 2nd hit of 5B to connect and that's why I just did 5B (1-hit) > 5C > 5D > DC > reset. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KyemtEoyidQ

Right on

I wonder if they can do something like 5C CH > 6C > DC > sj.C > j.D > AD > j.2C > j.C > dashing 5B > 5C > 3C > 214C. So far none of the Jins have even attempted to do anything after a mid-screen 6C. They're just like "lol what do I do now?". I only saw one Jin do a pretty nice combo that went something like stuff > 6C > DC > j.C > j.214A > corner stuff. I can't wait to get my hands on the game and find shit out on my own. That new DP C CH > dashing 5C > 2C > 2D > dashing 6B > 5B > 5C > 3C combo is godlike though. Looks like we don't need to 6C if we can juggle an opponent just close enough to the ground to do 5C > 2C > 2D. Still, I'm hoping that they at least fucking try to do stuff off 6C mid-screen.

Can I be a son of a bitch and ask for a full list of the new changes in the opening post?
-
Will provide a link for it in my channel, looking forward to these series and are you going to archive these series by any chance?
-
Goddammit, I wish more people would play as Jin, Platinum, and Relius.
-
I was getting tired of that dude hogging all the Chariot matches lol. Shadow (I believe) is doing some work with his Relius too.
-
Yup, all I can do against her is just IB Barrier to try to push her out, not push buttons after she does any of the 22X series, and hope that I don't get hit by the overhead lol.
-
So Jin turned out to be one of those godlike entities, lol.
-
Yup, they're what's left of the good ol' 3C > 236D resets.
-
Yeah, that's the one I use. Sometimes I end it with 5A > 5C > 5D > 236D instead of another DP for resetting pressure.
-
Might just be me not doing the j.D on time again but I tried it for a while and couldn't get it to work lol.
-
So I did some testing with the 5D combo finisher for the DP loop and this is what I got... Using the following combos: 1. 5B > 5C > DP B > (dashing)5C > 6C > DP C > 5A > 5C > 5D 2. 2B > 5C > DP B > (dashing)5C > 6C > DP C > 5A > 5C > 5D 3. 6A CH > 5C > 6C > DP B > (dashing)6C > DP C > 5A > 5C > 5D Guaranteed to work on Hazama, Tsubaki, Jin, Rachel, and Makoto. Sometimes it works against some of the other characters but I can't seem to put my finger on what exactly the 5D finisher is dependent on for it to work. Edit: Yeah, I can't get that DP loop combo with the 2B starter to work, shtkn. I have to end it with 5A > 5C > 5D or with 5A > 5C > 2C > DP C.

Wait, this works? I could have sworn that they can tech after the 2C, maybe I'm too slow with the j.D. To the lab I go and I'm not digging that Jin vs Tsubaki theme, I'm not a fan of vocals in my fighting games. It's not that bad but it could have been better without the vocals.

True, it doesn't work on some charactes, Lambda is one of them. It also has to do with how far away from the opponent you are when you use 5D, I'll do some more testing because that 5D > 236D pressure reset is hella good to let it go to waste.
-
Relius' j.A is hilarious, I'm gonna have to sub/main the shit out of him as soon as he's available.
-
You're getting better, just work on your block strings and hit-confirms. Try to implement those j.236Ds fakes and cross-ups into your game when you feel the need for it. I saw you using 2B to reset pressure a lot, keep doing that until the opponent gets antsy and you can start frame trapping with a late 5C or a 2C.
-
A couple of things... - Try to IB those swords as much as possible, if you block the first blade then the second is almost guaranteed to follow it so IB it. - Try not to tech roll against Lambda because getting hit by the saw HURTS. - Dash and stop by using your Barrier, don't just rush in because you're going to run yourself into a 5DD. Slowly work your way in. - Try not to use 2C in your block strings that much, 2C is more of a frame trap than anything so use it as such. I don't think that Sev is the kind to mash jabs to get out of pressure so don't even use it against him. Use it against people that have no respect for your block strings. - In the same way, try not to use 236D in your block strings that much after 5C or 2C because there's a huge hole for him to just jump out of it. If you must use it then do it after 2A, 2B, or 5B but even then try to use it very sparingly. - I don't think it this is too much of a problem for you but there was a lot of stuff that didn't get hit-confirmed and a lot of stuff that did get hit-confirmed ended up in a blue beat.
-
The only thing that I had against him was j.Derp in CS but since that's gone I can enjoy the match-up without feeling robbed.
-
I don't think it ever did make the opponent bounce, it does a hard knockdown that gives you enough time to OTG with 2B or something. We just haven't seen it in action. I think that Tetsu was going for it during one of his matches but he missed the 6A.
-
I actually rarely used the DP D loop until later on into the game and even then I didn't use it that much. I used my meter for j.236D shenanigans and 236D resets lol. For the DP C CH combo I do... DP C CH > dashing 5B > sj.A > j.2C > j.D > dashing 5B > 5C > 3C > 214C. Sometimes I do j.D > AD > j.D cross-up if I'm feeling gimmicky or if that's the only way I can win the match lol. These changes are unlike the ones going from CT to CS and from CS to CSII. Those were welcome additions even though the changes dropped Jin down a tier and raised him back up on the next game. I love what they did to him on CS and I eventually adapted to his CSII self but these new changes are lame as hell. I'm going to remain salty until I see that stuff > 6C > DC > IAD > j.C > j.2C > 5C > stuff combo in action.
-
Yeah we could, 623C CH > dashing 5C > stuff, it was a relatively tight link though so you usually saw people just go for dashing 5B > stuff.
-
It might just be on aerial CH though and I'm betting my chips that it is. I've yet to see anyone attempt that stuff > 6C > DC > IAD > j.C > j.2C > 5C > stuff combo. Is it me or does 6A seem slightly slower? It might just be my imagination and I'm hoping that it is. Crossing up with j.214B/C was a bit of a double-edged sword. You could put yourself in the corner or do the same to your opponent. Back in the day you just timed your Ice Car C after j.D and if you hit the opponent as soon as possible while he's above you then you'll trade spots, if you time it and hit him at the last possible moment then you'll keep your spot lol.
-
Man, the 6C nerf is worse than I thought. There goes our combos on crouching opponents :/
-
If Ice Arrow is useless as a combo finisher then what the hell is it good for now? Random, lucky sniping? lol 6A no longer breaking primers, 2D being slower, and the 6C nerf is some sad shit. Whatever happened to the increased I-frames on 2C, did that make it to the final build?
