Kyle Posted June 11, 2010 Posted June 11, 2010 Wait...correct me if I'm wrong. The console release will have differences with the current arcade version? o.O oh and yay on being the 1001st post on the 101st page lol Console release will be the arcade version, after some time, a re-balance patch will be released. I'm not sure how drastic this patch will be, minor for broken balance ( Bang loops etc.) or major for tier re-arrangement. You guys do realize, my post was two completely different trains of thought. I did put a paragraph between the statements. =P
DancingFighterG Posted June 13, 2010 Posted June 13, 2010 Yo, this is DancingFighterG. Hey guys, I really want to start playing BlazBlue: CT seriously but I know I have to wait for it in July. What can I do now to learn Carl in CS to prepare me for CT. I'm primarily a 3D guy but I love GG and I loved BlazBlue since the game came out. Tekken 6 has taken my time and I'm bored with it so I thought playing BB would be better for my scene and for me. Overall I just need to know what basics for BB and for Carl do I need to work on as I know a lot of system has changed from CS to CT.
Mr Oso Posted June 13, 2010 Posted June 13, 2010 For Xbox players- Do any of you change your button config when you play as carl? Its always an issue to move nirvana and finish combos with her when i cant do a combo and keep my finger on (D) and move her around. I dont have my copy of BB or an xbox right now but im curious to if you could put (D) on the (RB) which would make things alot easier for me.

Yeah, I play with with the analog of a standard 360 controller, and I have D mapped to the right bumper. You can map it to what ever you like, but from my experience RB > RT.

I will release a CS version once I get my hand son it. =) http://www.dustloop.com/forums/showthread.php?5924-Carl-Clover-CT-101-Robots-Raise-The-Roof When i do have to use controller, I map "D" to R-Trigger. =D

Mascarpone Posted June 15, 2010 Posted June 15, 2010 So his hat is officially in his hit box now. good to know.
ZONG_one Posted June 15, 2010 Posted June 15, 2010 So his hat is officially in his hit box now. good to know. I'm prettty sure it was always a part of his hitbox.
Achoral Posted June 18, 2010 Posted June 18, 2010 Yup. I remember in CT when I was trying to duck under Jin's 236A... It always ended up hitting the top of his hat -_-
Mascarpone Posted June 18, 2010 Posted June 18, 2010 odd because i could swear his hat is only kind of a part of his hitbox in CT because i've had so many overhead cross ups just kinda whiff the back of his hat.
ZONG_one Posted June 18, 2010 Posted June 18, 2010 I'm going to guess that's just because of his stupid small hitbox in general in CT.
Marionette Pwii Posted June 19, 2010 Posted June 19, 2010 I don't know whether or not to think thats stupid lol
kaworu Posted June 21, 2010 Posted June 21, 2010 Does anyone know if there is a guide to CS Carl on here (or anywhere else)? The information is sort of splattered throughout these threads. Would be great to have all the most important stuff and changes compiled into one thread. I know Carl from CT but need to know as much about the changes as possible, aswell as what his new combos are (rather than just watching arcade infinity and japanese matches) lol.

Zoogstin Posted June 23, 2010 Posted June 23, 2010 Have you guys been watching the latest a-cho vids? They're the latest vids on piggs channel http://www.youtube.com/autonomousR I don't know if its just the same couple of guys who like to use different Carl colors or its a bunch of Carl players but they all seem to be really good. Just check out these combos: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Rf3aFoMejAk#t=0m30s http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0hmUwP80CSM#t=1m24s Granted I've seen combos like these before but it seems only the a-cho crew really crank out these particular combos. Kyaku and Dio still do some ridiculous stuff with Carl which prove they are 2 of the best, but the a-cho Carl's right now are my fav's.
kaworu Posted June 23, 2010 Posted June 23, 2010 I will write a CS guide once I can play the game. Fantastic In the mean time, could someone please do a small list of his most important stuff/changes and what his B&B combos now are? Would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
Mascarpone Posted June 23, 2010 Posted June 23, 2010 I love that A-A-A-A-A'ing Nirvana is still in fashion 9.9
njmamm Posted June 23, 2010 Posted June 23, 2010 Fantastic In the mean time, could someone please do a small list of his most important stuff/changes and what his B&B combos now are? Would be greatly appreciated. Thanks. volante (projectile) certain normals cancel into a certain other normals that didn't b4 (to lazy to recall all of em but for example 5b > 2b longer combos in general cause combos like 2d loop to work fatal counter j.b > wall bounce ada uses more life j.2c not overhead :,( n sum other stuff lol I love that A-A-A-A-A'ing Nirvana is still in fashion 9.9 lol what's A-A-A-A-A'ing?
ZONG_one Posted June 23, 2010 Posted June 23, 2010 5A > 2A two reps. j.C is jump cancel-able now. If you've learned any CT combos, pm me, and I'll tell you where to switch it up for CS. Watching videos is going to help a lot, though.
ZONG_one Posted June 23, 2010 Posted June 23, 2010 Cool little mixup: whatever > [j.2C > j.C > 2D] x2 > j.2C > allegretto > clap. Ok here's the oki. (Potential to punish back roll and neutral tech. Won't punish forward roll, but you'll be safe on forward roll, and they probably won't want to roll forward, as back/neutral are their two most favorable options in sandwich oki.) 2D Before tech > On neutral/back tech, IAD > j.2C allecan crossup > 2D hits > Vivace A back into sandwich j.2C loop. DP will beat this, of course. What do you guys think?
