God_Of_Olympus Posted January 1, 2010 Posted January 1, 2010 i pressed edit, i pressed edit, i pressed edit, how that double post happened idunno
God_Of_Olympus Posted January 1, 2010 Posted January 1, 2010 Let us cry, i find this matchup annoying just watching it Rachel(muramura) vs (ero) Tager- http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RoIZ4imlSRo
Kain Posted January 1, 2010 Posted January 1, 2010 Double post...? *facepalms* Anyways, IMO, the Rachel was playing pretty badly, what with that burst in the first 15 secs of the first round just to escape the first combo Tager got to land.
Alex073088 Posted January 1, 2010 Posted January 1, 2010 One thing I noticed about matsu in this vid thats different from other rachels is that he almost never misses a chance to Sword Iris. If his opponent is in front of a pole, he'll trigger it. Often in other rachel videos I'll be scratching my head wondering why they let people get away with standing in front of the poles all the time. Also interesting that vs. Bang he goes almost completely offensive, staying in Bangs face all the time, using backdash for avoidance instead of jumping away. Didnt do that against Litchi tho.. is it because Litchi has a DP? the reason why most rachel players dont zap when a players near a pole is because you lose so much control over the battle field when u do this instead of zapping u could set out a pumpkin frog or rush in when there scared to be zap. Instead of having to jump pumpkin and frog or full screen pumpkin and frog. You also get to push your opponent closer to the corner, throwing another lobelia with out pumpkin so close to your opponent is very risky. and u wont get to zap if they block because of the delay after u activate it. Now, as far as bang.....bang WILL get in eventually keeping bang out is impossible its just best to fight him up close he has nails, and teleportation from your lobelia, also has that stupid distrotion drive that goes through every thing u could throw at him, and for litchi...her pokes are tooo damn good versus rachel staying in her face u will never get a chance to do anything ever....mayb a lucky chair.plus with litchi's deploy its very very hard to get or even use pumpkin or frog usefully.i always thought that match was kinda hard for rachel but not its lookin just stupid.

You're so... wrong. Sword Iris is the very definition of controlling the battle field. Bang isn't that hard to keep out. "Taking it in close," against Bang is the stupidest thing I've ever heard.

"Taking it in close," against Bang is the stupidest thing I've ever heard. u must not have foughten good bang players before, bang as many ways in and many way to keep in, the easiest way in are jump throw 3 shorukens, and dash behind it, nails kill frog, takes out pumpkin, and if u get hit by thme u will eat a combo, 6a doesnt take care of them at a distance, all u can keep back dashing your ass into a corner. bang also can teleprt off a lobelia, and also counter your 6a with his guard point attack from the sky. not only that if he does pail of paints and zig zag around your attempts to keep him out with ease. against good bangs its just better to pressure him to death, zoning only wastes your wind and nets him free hits when he wants to get in.

kro_ Posted January 2, 2010 Posted January 2, 2010 Bang can very easily shut down your zoning game with d or even b nails. Running him out of nails is much harder in CS than it was in CT. It's probably a good idea to try and get some hits in before he gets the meter to do his safe reversal super. And you have to go in once in awhile to avoid getting negative penalty. Best strategy: Run away and make him use nails, then super jump at him and spam j.a. Jumping barrier block is also your best friend. Don't summon anything unless he's knocked down or at the other end of the screen. End all block strings with 236a or 5b IAD backwards. If you're forced to block, wait until you get a chance to 236a or 5b IAD backwards. Use bursts to maintain life leads. When time is almost up, pull out the runaway Storm. This strategy works against the entire cast. It is unbeatable.

God_Of_Olympus Posted January 2, 2010 Posted January 2, 2010 TAKE THAT, ya barely-clothed top tiers! Ragna has lots of clothes on .__. Litchi could do w/ less and bang needs to die at least th previous top 3 were barely loved, hardly anyone used Rachel or ara, Nu was a bitch no one liked from the start, but everyones whoring to bang and Ltchi now, if Rachel ever returns to her throne i swear to god if that shit happens

It is unbeatable. there a few things that come with that.u keep running back u end up where? the corner, where he will super jump throw nails on u come down and pressure u to death with overheads, tricking u to attack him while he counters, and command throwing u, not to mention cross up j.c(his long diagonal air kick) which i have an extremely hard time 6a'ing it.u can super jump but.....the nail bounce off the ground still forcing u to block, when bang throws nails hes coming in right after them u to pressure u, when he throws a nail symbol in the sky he be zig zanging around so fast it be even harder to stop his approach. You can zone if u want sure but i dont think a good bang player will let u get to that point form the start of the match, i think its better to just pressure him instead of keeping him out. running away doesnt work on everyone, litchi, bang, v-13, arakune, jin, it might work for a while but these characters have ways of catching up with you.
GenoWhirl Posted January 3, 2010 Posted January 3, 2010 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ywgBFdS3R0w Second match... Just don't watch the finals :vbang:
GenoWhirl Posted January 5, 2010 Posted January 5, 2010 http://www.nicovideo.jp/watch/sm9300870 dat teiga was pissed yo http://www.nicovideo.jp/watch/sm9301066 http://www.nicovideo.jp/watch/sm9301610 EPIC ROUND 2 COMEBACK http://www.nicovideo.jp/watch/sm9303737 http://www.nicovideo.jp/watch/sm9304702
Shugotenshi Posted January 6, 2010 Posted January 6, 2010 Tager very angry against Magnetized Aerial Teching Rachel I noticed the Rachel fighting the Hakumen kept messing up on his BBL everytime he used an empty Sword Iris lolz Awesome Match too Damn 4C Poke starters hehe Will Rachel finally rise again?!
God_Of_Olympus Posted January 6, 2010 Posted January 6, 2010 Will Rachel finally rise again?! not uless someone finds some form of bll shit, we can win though, if we try reallly hard...

Rhannmah Posted January 6, 2010 Posted January 6, 2010 http://www.nicovideo.jp/watch/sm9305704 Wow, I really love this guy's playstyle That's some pretty hardcore rushdown there
Kuuhaku Posted January 6, 2010 Posted January 6, 2010 Not likely, but when I mess up on BBL, sword iris comes out. It's pretty handy actually because at least I'll still hit them with something. *only uses BBL if there's a rod up because otherwise it's not worth it*
Tari Posted January 7, 2010 Posted January 7, 2010 Wow, I really love this guy's playstyle That's some pretty hardcore rushdown there The Rachel in that video prooved that double 236a during BBL is very possible in CS. I believe it's around 17:15 in the video. Full combo is something like 2c 2d 5b j.b j.c JC 2d j.2c (lvl 3) land BBL 236a 236a dash 3c (1 hit) 214c 3c (1 hit) 214b. 3.4k damage. Not sure if putting a 6a before BBL would have made any notable difference (for better or worse) in the final damage of that combo. I'm actually more surprised that ...land BBL 236a 214b dash 3c is a legit combo, with the extended summoning time on the pumpkin. (shows up in the video in the next round at some point) Edit: Somehow, my first edit failed to get posted, but during the first round against Noel, 4b 5b 5cdc 236b dash 6a 214c SJ j.b j.c JC j.b j.c j.236a does something like 2714 damage, which seems very good for such a straightforward combo.
Outtawack311 Posted January 7, 2010 Posted January 7, 2010 I haven't had a chance to watch all of them, but the Yellow & Black Rachel in http://www.nicovideo.jp/watch/sm9304104 is pretty nasty. She might not be anywhere near as bad as CT Tager by the time tiers are pretty much set.
Outtawack311 Posted January 7, 2010 Posted January 7, 2010 If you think about it, it makes perfect sense that rushdown is what you need to do with CS Rachel. Her zoning isn't great and neither is her damage, to win you need to be on the offensive most of the round.
GenoWhirl Posted January 7, 2010 Posted January 7, 2010 so now we can link cat chair into a 3.4k combo? FEAR THE CAT CHAIR

Her zoning isn't great and neither is her damage, to win you need to be on the offensive most of the round. yes, but the problem is her tools to get in are risky at best and her normals are pretty crappy/situational although forward wind + forward air dash is one hell of a quick way to get in
GenoWhirl Posted January 7, 2010 Posted January 7, 2010 can someone deirect me to the noel vid? forgot the one was I the only on who cried when Rachel tried and tried to kill litchi and did like a 4.7k combo yet Litchi survived with like, 1 pixel of health D:?
