bmore303 Posted October 12, 2010 Posted October 12, 2010 From video she looks fine to me, still annoyed about Spring Raid. Rest in peace Haida Loop, I knew you, but could care less.
Soriphen Posted October 12, 2010 Posted October 12, 2010 Just wanna make sure....her d.5C ain't JCable anymore? Also, get hype bout her bouncing d.6B and hitbox of j.6B....oh god...and her new gatlings....FINALLY she's gonna have some awesome and safer blockstrings. 5C JCable on block get hype as well.
Chiizu Posted October 12, 2010 Posted October 12, 2010 Hum, not sure whether i should be happy about d.6B bouncing. Is it a good thing?

Totally forgot about the new gatlings... 6A 2B 5B 6A 2B 6A 6B blockstring! Spirit Juice's thread says that 5D isn't JCable anymore, which confuses me for obvious reasons. Hum, not sure whether i should be happy about d.6B bouncing. Is it a good thing? I'd say yes.
Chiizu Posted October 12, 2010 Posted October 12, 2010 I'd say yes. How so? I've never played CT and i never play unlimited Noel so i wouldn't know.
confusedxphreak Posted October 12, 2010 Posted October 12, 2010 Hmmm...So since 22C bounces higher now, I wonder if that'll make executing the 6C loop more plausible to use now for midscreen and corner combos since her Haida is gone.
Linear04 Posted October 12, 2010 Posted October 12, 2010 6A 2B 5B 6A 2B 6A 6B blockstring! I don't think the engine would allow you do repeat the same moves multiple times through a gatling, so at most you would have 5a 6a 2b 5b 6b Also not sure how to feel about haida changes, as long as I can get at least 3k minimum i'd be happy

You can test it in training mode. With 6A working on crouchers and an additional gatling from 5B (even if its a limited gatling), this will greatly improve our pressure. The reason you don't see it is because lol 6A whiffs on crouchers except for Tager. I do it on better Tagers who don't fall for the normal stuff. 66 2B 6A 2B 6A 6B catches the more experienced Tagers by surprise because no one knows about this blockstring. Its Tager specific right now... but with 6A working on crouchers, thats when it will become global. Additional gatlings to 6A will make it better. How so? I've never played CT and i never play unlimited Noel so i wouldn't know. There doesn't seem to be any issue with d.6B bouncing too high (like 22C, its too high now for combos). j.D -> d.6B should bounce high enough for a combo, if say, j.6D was already used. Basically... 5D -> d.6D -> d.2D -> 623D (corner) -> 6C -> j.D -> d.5D whiffs on short hitboxes (ie: Mu), and d.6B doesn't bounce high enough for a good combo. I guess d.5C works, but overall, it just seems like it will be easier to combo into other attacks.
klops Posted October 12, 2010 Posted October 12, 2010 all these good changes seem so out of place what happened to making me feel bad arcsys
Chiizu Posted October 12, 2010 Posted October 12, 2010 Just wait until they give Noel disjointed hitboxes again, unless they've already done it.
mjting Posted October 12, 2010 Posted October 12, 2010 With the higher bounce, will, lets say 3c, 55c, (bounce) 6c then 5.d still work instead of j.d? I was trying out the combos last night And i seem to cross up every time. BAD when I want to slowly carry them to wall.
bmore303 Posted October 13, 2010 Posted October 13, 2010 I don't think I'd want to throw cancel 6C loop like in CT, isn't 6C proration pretty bad, I remember dropping it for that reason I think.

You just can't do it midscreen anymore because 6C is literally 60% slower than it used to be.
bmore303 Posted October 13, 2010 Posted October 13, 2010 Right, definitely too slow to be of any midscreen use. I think I've used it once or twice near a corner to get a correct haida height, of course it went blue beat, but hey >_> , their loss.
Mizzet Posted October 13, 2010 Posted October 13, 2010 2b 6a gattling on top of 6a hitting crouchers is really nice, doesn't get us killed on block for trying 6a and people actually have to pay attention or they'll get launched into 6c j.d > some drive stuff for I think 1.5k'ish. As it is our current pitiful 2b 5b 5c 2c isn't a good enough deterrent. Man I just want to get my hands on CS2 and find replacement combos for her. Pretty confident that the loss in damage from haida and 623d 66c can be made up.
LunaKage Posted October 13, 2010 Posted October 13, 2010 we already had the 2B > 6A gatling. And 6A > 2B. Though 6A hitting crouchers is the best news I've heard since loketests began.
Soriphen Posted October 13, 2010 Posted October 13, 2010 Thank god they made her d.6B bounce again. Gonna make for easier combos now. Hopefully they won`t nerf something else that's unnecessary :/.
Mizzet Posted October 13, 2010 Posted October 13, 2010 It might open up some interesting combos, stuff like d.6b 4d d.5c and so on. So basically it's like CT's d.6b?
NoirMorpheus Posted October 13, 2010 Posted October 13, 2010 At this point I will take any changes to Noel as long as they give her some type of advantage against the higher tiers
NoirMorpheus Posted October 13, 2010 Posted October 13, 2010 She seems more solid from the youtube video. Like if you screw up a combo that's a better chance to get on the offense again rather than eat a combo. Seems's better to me overall
Mizzet Posted October 13, 2010 Posted October 13, 2010 I've been off the grid for a few days so I haven't kept up to date with stuff. Is there any confirmation on Noel's d.5c losing it's JC'able property? It's listed on the loketest2 thread as 5d which is probably a typo. I'd consider that a huge kick in the nuts if that's true, unless some other move is becoming JC'able. As far as her damage goes, CS Noel is practically built around d.5c being JC'able, there are almost zero combos that don't use it. I hope j.b hitting below will open up some new opportunities though, like a 9 superjump after 5c into j.b j.d, which is possible on Tager now actually, because of his size.
confusedxphreak Posted October 13, 2010 Posted October 13, 2010 Well, from what it seems so far, the fact that 22C bounces so high now and the 6C loops seems to be out of the question, her basic combo off a 3C would then be: 3C> 22C>66C>SJC>j.D>6D>d.5C>d.6B>236D. There seems to be no need for her to jump cancel d.5C anymore. But then again, if the 6C catches the opponent at the right height, it seems possible to start the drive portion with 5D; although what would we do after the d.5C if its not jump cancelable? Using the old d.6B>d.5C>d.6B>d.5C is kinda out of the question too considering itll prorate like ass. With 5D seemingly nerfed, her other basic drive combo going into d.6C is probably going to be more difficult to land now...o.o I guess we should wait and see what other combos people find.
mjting Posted October 13, 2010 Posted October 13, 2010 Don't you think that 5D will hit at the right moment since they said it comes out slower? so after 6c, then the delay will cause the opp. to go back down a bit more so then it'll hit? I usually just do the sample challenge combo since im particularly new to bb(and to this style of fighting games in general, as i came from t6) so its basically 3c, 22c, 66c, then 5d d.6b, d.5c, then j.d then 5d to 236d. So i'm actually concerned on how it'll hit.
