Just wondering. I was watching one of loketest vid with Noel. If I'm not mistaken, Noel's Bloom Trigger (236D) can bounce your opponent when hit against the corner. I think that could work. You just have to delay the 4D after 6C. 2nd, Faster drives might be awesome for general play, but don't forget that it will render the FC 4D anti air into d6A whiff d.6C d5D 623D too fast to hit (maybe just exchanging d6A for whiff d5D might work but meh) 3rd, why has NO ONE tried 5A 5B 5C jc j.D? if that combo's we're golden.

Runis Posted October 26, 2010 Posted October 26, 2010 I've got it to work on every single one. Carl is the first person I try any combo on first. You aren't delaying the 4D enough so that it hits low.

You might be doing 22BC right after the throw, the opponent will be able to tech in the middle of 5D and d.6B if you add the 22B. But it does work if you go directly into 22C. Against Carl, you just have to hit the last 6c pretty low to the ground and maybe delay the 5D by like a frame or 2, but it can work.
HeartNana Posted October 26, 2010 Posted October 26, 2010 Sure the other characters losing crazy shit helps Noel, but Noel needed crazy shit just to get 4.2k, her non-haida BnB is gone, her haida is shot to hell, and looking at the one video I saw from loketest3, she can't even do her simple 4.8 corner combo(the version without fenrir). So how in the hell are we supposed to get damage? She's looking like she's gonna be Tsubaki without charge moves. I said it last time, I'm gonna say it again. Wait until we know all the details before bitching, please.

I don't know if it will be worth it tough 3rd, why has NO ONE tried 5A 5B 5C jc j.D? if that combo's we're golden. huuu, I really think this doesn't work, and I don't see why it should btw, for the other corner combo we are talking about, I have trouble landing it on lambda because of her hitbox the d.5B's 2nd hit whiff on her x)

I'm with you, I'm sure she'll be just fine, change up some bnbs, get back in the lab, and make her just as useful as before. It's interesting to read prospective changes, but none of us know what the final decisions will be, nor does anyone have enough time to really try anything new. Suck it up and keep playing her or jump ship for whoever else.

Lovin' all the additional gatlings that add to her pressure game along with 6A hitting crouchers. The buffs on 5B and j.B sound nice too. I'm still a little put off by the 5D nerfs, but I suppose I'll just have to deal with it along with everything else. Seems like Ms. Vermillion got off pretty well during these location tests. Looking forward to playing the final product.

I'm kinda torn on which one I want to be air-unblockable, as you said, 5C has a better ability to catch jumpers out of blockstrings, but I prefer 5B as a poke, and if it is getting buffed, adding an air-unblockable property would help make it be a more solid poke, which Noel lacks at the moment.

I brought it up because iirc someone was talking about losing the good corner combo and whatnot when, unless they changed some of the moves involved with doing that combo, it should still be doable in CS2. Losing the long haida loops hurts a lot more for midscreen than it does in the corner obviously, but it's already generally agreed that that's the route Arcsys is going with this game anyways.

I do agree, but that stings. Not picking on you, thats just the general concensus for anyone making assumptions too quickly now. I also highly highly doubt that Noel will be worse off than she was in CS. On system changes ALONE (as in, lots of char lose good midscreen damage off of easy pokes), it should be, in theory, easier to win...
