Unless 3C no longer connected with slide than I'm sure it'll be fine. Just need to work around tech times and what not.

It just seems like they're making Noel unplayable.

No more midscreen Spring Raid into 6C

No More Haida but hopefully 22BBBBBBBB is still there

Her 5D has lost some invulnerable frames (what the hell?)

Her drives do LESS damage (Why?? This is all she had)

Can't jump cancel Drive 5C..Why did they do this

If they take away Noel's damage from Drive, there is no point to play her.

A) Her normals suck, so you can't get damage from them anymore, let alone counter effectively

B) With her damage from drive gone, she's basically a really bad tsubaki without Charge

C) With her invincibility from Drive Gone, her drive has lost all of it's usefullness and makes me wonder what her drive is suppose to be now? Chain Revolver? More like slow as molasses no damage revolver lol

Either her drive is suppose to be risky with high damaging moves, or non risky with low damaging moves. By making Chain Revolver weaker and LOSING damage from it, they have completely ruined the point of this character. They should have either made her GAIN invincibility frames so even if she does hardly any damage, hey, that 5D combo is completely safe! Now it's like, that 5D Combo isn't safe, and it does NO DAMAGE!!

I just hope this isn't the case.

But in return, at least from the latest loctests, Noel is getting better pressure options with 6A and j.B having WAY better hitboxes, jump cancellable 5C, etc.

I'm still confused which drive move had its jump cancel removed. I sometimes read that it's d.5D and other times its d.5C with the latter the more devastating of the two.

You Can still jump cancel Drive 5C, but u can't jump cancel Drive 5D

But she was never able to Jump Cancel d.5D, unless they added that in an earlier loktest, then took it out at a later one. But I don't remember any mention of it.

I like how there are still a few people saying things like "omgggg char unplayable must be next rachel QQQQQQQQ" without even thinking about the bigger picture.

Right. I'll be the first to admit I bitch about my character, I do it while I'm losing, I do it while I'm winning.

But just because some things have changed that may LOOK unfavorable, doesn't mean anything in the end. First off, there are still possible changes between the first loktest and the finished game, secondly, every character is pretty much getting drastically modified. Hell, the fact that EVERY character will be rocking 2 primers after a single burst makes Noel that much more viable, every character is getting the combo nerf stick, Spring Raid cant follow up midscreen? Guess what, neither can Inferno Divider. I'm looking forward to BBSC2 with my head held high, because no matter what changes, my urge to whack bitches in the face with hilariously large guns will not.

I m pretty happy looking at noel changes in CS2, for me there are only better version of her in every locktest... even the first that give Noel hardly nothing is still giving her something (100% unsafe to reversal gatling lol) :P

seems to me that they are trying to create a Noel between the CT one and the CS one

I mean, in CT Noel had good normals, but her drive was terrible, it was really pure suicide to try to drive unless you were doing a combo

In CS, Noel have terrible, terrible normals, but her drive is pretty good, it's safer (still unsafe, but safer), you can pressure with it if you are doing it cleverly

for CS2 they give her back some good normal, they are not as good as it was in CT, but they are usefull... 6A hitting low opponent really is something, and her drives are more or less the same, they just do a bit less damage in corner

Still, Noel lose a lot of damaging midscreen combo, but it's not that bad, Noel will really have to work on bringing her opponent in the corner to slaughter them, I like it :D

I would like to see spring raid getting back its invulnerability tough, we are really fucked when j.D hit a guard x)

edit : plus, I want disjointed Hit box on 5B -.-

Gotta agree with what's been said so far. It seems that for a lot of people as soon the word 'different' comes into play everyone assumes the worst. Everyone knows loketests aren't final changes and yet there are still so many theory fighters getting worked up over a character and calling them 'unplayable' when they haven't and can't even play them.

Like people have mentioned before, Noel lost a lot of good tools she had in CT when she moved to CS and people adjusted just fine. So what's to say the same can't be said about her changes in CSII?

If people care so much about playing a strong character, they can just switch to Bang or Litchi or whoever else is top-tier at the time and take your whining someplace else.

Try using Assault Through instead if you're low enough. That usually works for me. :eng101:

I don't like getting 2C fatal counter from Ragna while dancing, sorry :P

I always laugh when I happen to assault through through Lambda's gravity well and it looks like Noel is doing ballet.

You can always get 2C fatal countered while landing from j.d :-)

I think he meant you might as well try the d.214D as a blocked j.D can also get you fatal'd. :P

Nope. Just like the 4th loketest.

Someone wrote up a character summary for her though:

●Noel

この人もロケテ中のやることは変わってないですね

牽制で少しだけ牽制弱くなったらしいけどCSよりは全然強いしいいんじゃないですか

どうでも

This person as well didn't get any changes in this loketest.

She's only a little not terrible ("a little buffed" probably) but coming from CS she's still nowhere near powerful.

Whatever.

Seems like no-one cares about her after all.. :gonk:

Going for damage is pretty much not gonna be her MO. I think moreso conditioning and reaction is how she's going to end up being played now. God, I'm really hoping not to have to play her like a SF character.

It's true that it's going to take a while before everyone figures out all the changes, but it doesn't help my morale when Noel gets some minor buffs and loss of her more damaging combos in the beginning, then isn't even touched for the last 2 loctests. Here's to hoping the buffs we got make up for it.

Edit: According to Arcadia, her normals are getting buffed and her drive is going to "become better at dodging stuff". Regardless, I am happy with CS2 now :).
