Pizzaman542 Posted August 9, 2011 Posted August 9, 2011 Well this seems stupid, but for the life of me I can't get 5C > 3C to combo at all in training mode. I just borrowed BB:CS from a friend. I got it updated to Ver 1.03.

Firestorm8880 Posted August 13, 2011 Posted August 13, 2011 ok, this must sound REALLY noobish, but i'm having trouble trying to connect 236A > 66C (usually as part of 3C > 22BBBC~66 > 6C > 236A > 66C > j.D...). any advice? it might be coz i'm using that horrible psp dpad (i'm away from my ps3 atm)

Therefore, not getting close enough for the 66C to hit? If so, there is no real advice I can give except to input the 66 when the shot explodes. Noel should have a "sliding" animation to her dash when you buffer it properly, where you see the dust kick up on the ground but her feet do not move.
Firestorm8880 Posted August 13, 2011 Posted August 13, 2011 ah ic. actually it seems to be that i'm not getting to the opponent fast enough, so i whiff the 1st hit of 6C. should be the buffering, will check it out. Thx!
cookiehours Posted August 13, 2011 Posted August 13, 2011 Argh, how the hell do you do the gun combo for Noel? The one where she shoots on the ground continuously and does a big ass juggle? I use a pad so idk if that's harder on pad or what.
TransientFaith Posted August 13, 2011 Posted August 13, 2011 Mash B? Or the 22B-66C loop? The loop is pretty character/timing/spacing specific. http://www.dustloop.com/forums/showthread.php?11719-Noel-Vermillion-CS2-Haida-Guide

BTW, sorry about b/f, I was having a bad play session.
jailhousefrog89 Posted August 13, 2011 Posted August 13, 2011 don't worry about real haida's if you dont know how to do all the normal basical pickups for noel yet from all hitconfirms the only sorta weird timing silencer combo every noob needs is after the command throw: 2b,6c, 22b, 22bbbbbbc , 66c > ender practice that first
LiveWireX Posted August 13, 2011 Posted August 13, 2011 I have to agree. And well, the CS2 Haida Loops kinda a bitch to do. I can only really do 2 reps semi-consistently (and that's if I'm like 'feeling it'), and if I get 3 it's like worth throwing a party over, lol.
confusedxphreak Posted August 14, 2011 Posted August 14, 2011 I have a two questions. First of all, are the Noels in videos nowadays throwing in a 66C after the dash cancel following the 2BBBBBBC? If so, are there any tricks in the timing? I've tried it a few times before in training mode, but the timing escapes me most of the time. x.x I want to sneak that extra B into that Silencer combo.

Yeah, if can connect more than the usual amount of 22B's in a single go, then you'll need to 66C after the dash cancel. I've always done it by rhythm, since the dash cancel is a set distance/timing. I think the initial input starts right before the dash cancel ends, so that by the time it does finish you are inputting the second 6 and C for the microdash 6C to come out.

You can do as many Bs as you want (or rather, almost) if you do 66->66C. Basically u dash cancel the 22C (she will only dash a bit and stop), and then dash again with 6C. This lets u use pretty much every 22B hit you can get off on some characters, and at the very least extend how many you can do on the rest. It's also not that particularly hard.
confusedxphreak Posted August 14, 2011 Posted August 14, 2011 Thanks for the replies. I'm definitely inputting the 66C too slowly from what I can tell, but its getting slightly better. I guess I'll just go practice that 66C some more in training mode until I can get it by rhythm.
Zeromus_X Posted August 15, 2011 Posted August 15, 2011 Hey guys, trying to pick up some Noel. I've got most of basic combos and pressure down, but I have a question. How do you guys confirm a CH 6A anti-air? It's a great anti-air, but I have a hard time confirming it into a combo on CH cause they fly away. Should I just do something like 2B or 6C ahead of time, and then see if they block or not? Sorry if this was already asked.

This is my favorite of all of Noel's tools, sadly it will be gone in CS2+ but here it goes: Option Select 6A > 2B on wiff 6A will come out, and maybe get punished, no big deal. on Normal hit, you cannot combo, however this puts you in an advantageous situation to anti air them as they land or go for an air grab on CH you can run up and cambo into 6C(if they were high up) or 2A > 6C(if they were closer to the ground). On block, the 2B is neutral, so you can normally go into more pressure. I love this set up so much ; w;
Bolverk-GTM Posted August 15, 2011 Posted August 15, 2011 I learn something every day. I might go play this again after I get out of class...(dammit)
Grifter Posted August 17, 2011 Posted August 17, 2011 I haven't played Noel since CT and it seems the input for 22B/C is more strict in CS2. Any particular reason for that? To be sure, I can't do 33C or 2C when I'm already holding down to crouch, right?

I haven't noticed a change in the input window for 22B/C, so just keep practicing it until you feel comfortable with it again. Also, 3C (I'm assuming this is what you meant) and 2C are both possible to do even while you're holding crouch.

The input window for 22B/C has most certainly changed, it feels more stiff and retarded, it's why sometimes(read: FUCKING ALWAYS) I miss the input after a Counter Hit 3C, because the added hitstop just completely fucks my input over.
Grifter Posted August 17, 2011 Posted August 17, 2011 How much hitstop was added? In CS1? I'm sure that's a factor for me as well, but I definitely can't hit 3C and motion 53C and get a silencer like in CT.
Mithiel Posted September 12, 2011 Posted September 12, 2011 I just started the game 2 or 3 weeks ago and I am struggling to land 6C (2) 6C after 2D DP. I can do it most of the time on Ragna, if I switch the training dummy to someone like Litchi or Hazama I get dropped frames after the 6C (2) 98% of the time. I'm doing the exact same thing I do against Ragna but it just doesn't connect of those characters and maybe more haven't tried them all.

Ok, when is the combo dropping? the first hit of 6C or the second hit?
Mithiel Posted September 12, 2011 Posted September 12, 2011 The first hit of 6C. I'm hitting 6C as soon as I can but it just keeps dropping it on the first hit.
LunaKage Posted September 12, 2011 Author Posted September 12, 2011 The first hit of 6C. I'm hitting 6C as soon as I can but it just keeps dropping it on the first hit. Well in this situation it's possible that you don't want to do 6C as soon as possible, normally when I do a 2D > Spring Raid combo I follow up with a dash 6C, or if I am too close I'll walk backward slightly and do 6C. In other words, try to delay your 6C a bit more.
