Jourdal Posted November 10, 2011 Posted November 10, 2011 I like default Jin, faded brown Jin and Yellow/Black Jin. Aced my midterm and it's my birthday. Now I have Dark Souls and the time to play BB again, lol. Lol when i see a player doing well with a color i previously ignored..i tend to add it to my collection..so i've been using yellow and black since watching some of your matches. Good luck to Marcell and Shtkn at NWM, bring that jin hype back to america, jin vs jin grandfinals lol.
Yuushiro Posted November 10, 2011 Author Posted November 10, 2011 lol I doubt it.. I am not even gonna enter officially... just gonna hang out as secret guest SNK boss
Chris Chaos Posted November 11, 2011 Posted November 11, 2011 The second I choose the Network option when I play BlazBlue I'm salty. Funniest comment in this thread so far, LMAO! ^ Lol i agree. And i notice since finding out tetsu switched...my jin got more and more aggressive..it's almost reckless now SRz plays reckless and it works for him. I got overly confident fighting him since he was running into a lot of my attacks and thought I had his number. Then he started playing neutral and I lost horribly all those games later. AXIS saw our replaus and was like: This is SHADOWREDzero? I lol'd I like default Jin, faded brown Jin and Yellow/Black Jin. Aced my midterm and it's my birthday. Now I have Dark Souls and the time to play BB again, lol. Happy B-day bro, enjoy it as much as you can and when are we gonna be logged in at the same time for those mirrors we've been talking about literally a month ago? LOL! lol I doubt it.. I am not even gonna enter officially... just gonna hang out as secret guest SNK boss Chill at tourney's Like a BAWS!
Chris Chaos Posted November 11, 2011 Posted November 11, 2011 BAWLS niggah Let's not start that shit again... That was a horrible time awhile back, LOL!
Lucien Posted November 11, 2011 Posted November 11, 2011 Let's not start that shit again... That was a horrible time awhile back, LOL! That shit had me rollin for a minute tho lol, when you told me that I knew you were cool as fuck.
Chris Chaos Posted November 11, 2011 Posted November 11, 2011 That shit had me rollin for a minute tho lol, when you told me that I knew you were cool as fuck. LOL it was a funny note I'll admit, but man you guys hammered me pretty bad for it back then. I'm cool with it now though. Can't find those drinks outside of Virginia though, that's a good thing.
Jourdal Posted November 11, 2011 Posted November 11, 2011 (edited) Stunedge tweeted this...makes perfect sense, been so busy going D: at all the traitors i forgot this, he's not really the most thrilling character to begin with..his drive acts as combo filler rather than "doing" something like the other characters. Jin is still a decent char, ppl just getting tired for playing same char for 3yr I mean...he never changes THAT much in each iteration. Edited November 11, 2011 by Jourdal
Lucien Posted November 11, 2011 Posted November 11, 2011 his drive acts as combo filler rather than "doing" something like the other characters. . That to the highest degree.
Moy_X7 Posted November 11, 2011 Posted November 11, 2011 I mean, don't people usually play X character because it fits their playing style? I like balance: projectiles, DPs, the ability to zone to an extent, and the ability to rush to an extent. That's Jin right there. I couldn't stop playing as him even if I wanted to (which I wouldn't, since I have hella fun with resets and the occasional gimmicks) because he fits my playing style just perfectly.
Jourdal Posted November 11, 2011 Posted November 11, 2011 He's a jack of all trades, he probably fits every playstyle tbh. Remember everyone more or less had a pocket jin in CT, some what in CS2.
Moy_X7 Posted November 11, 2011 Posted November 11, 2011 That's true but I just can't commit myself to a single play style, I gotta have a bit of everything and that goes for every fighting game that I've played lol. People used him more because of his simplicity and because of his tier standing in those two games. I go all out against people who just pick Jin because of that.
Jourdal Posted November 11, 2011 Posted November 11, 2011 (edited) Yeah...i have a sneaking suspicion people will have pocket ragnas again lmao. And i definitely agree, if i could simply just drop jin i wouldn't have been salty a few days ago lol. But playing subs helped my jin out i feel. Dem double sekkajins www.youtube.com/watch?v=yk_Nr6u8TAU#t=15m3s Edited November 11, 2011 by Jourdal
cadacus_ater Posted November 11, 2011 Posted November 11, 2011 It helps that Jin has a great set of tools at his disposal. I like having options for nearly any situation. But the original and purest reason I main, and will continue to main Jin is ice. I relish freeze effects, and Jin's drive gives them function and style. If I had more time to mess around I'd probably sub a few characters (Rachel, Hakumen, and now Relius come to mind), but as time is something I have precious little of, I prefer to learn one character more in depth.
LuminAbyss Posted November 11, 2011 Posted November 11, 2011 Yeah...i have a sneaking suspician people will have pocket ragnas again lmao. >implying people don't already have a pocket Ragna. He's not hard to learn, just hard to win with at high level play due to his simplicity. Jin suffers a bit of the same problem, but it's like, as Cadacus said, he has options for almost every situation, so it's not as bad. IMHO, I think Jin will be fine in CSE, he actually looks really fun to me.
Jourdal Posted November 12, 2011 Posted November 12, 2011 Updated video thread with shirushi and ren...who continues to dominate the jin video thread lmao.
Tong Posted November 12, 2011 Posted November 12, 2011 I just love how Jin learns new combos in every update, and yet, doesnt change his overall damage/oki potential. Hella fun character :'(
Chris Chaos Posted November 12, 2011 Posted November 12, 2011 Out of curiosity, how many of you guys plan on going to NEC?
Jourdal Posted November 13, 2011 Posted November 13, 2011 Lol, uploaded 3 different events, one jin each, two jins being the same person. In comparison to at least 10 different ragnas...........
Xx_Hoshi_xX Posted November 14, 2011 Posted November 14, 2011 >looks at videos uploaded Yeah... CSX is looking REALLY dumb. Of course I'll get it but c'mon. Ragna gets a 5a CH and follows up with 6b< 2b and that shit is viable? CS1 all over again.
cadacus_ater Posted November 14, 2011 Posted November 14, 2011 So I felt like trying my hand at netplay again...and for once I seemed to hit a good evening with less lag than usual. However I noticed that I was somehow managing to RC twice in quick succession at seemingly random (and pointless) times...and I had considerable difficulty with dash cancels. At first I attributed it to nerves, then I finally looked at my PS3 controller in the light...to discover the lower-left quarter of the plastic rim keeping my left analog stick in its normal range of movement gone...which explained why certain movements seemed to cause my stick to "stick" and meant I was effectively done playing for the weekend....
LuminAbyss Posted November 14, 2011 Posted November 14, 2011 (edited) >looks at videos uploaded Yeah... CSX is looking REALLY dumb. Of course I'll get it but c'mon. Ragna gets a 5a CH and follows up with 6b< 2b and that shit is viable? CS1 all over again. Was this an air CH? If so, I'm not too surprised, 5A air CH is hilarious, it's currently usually followed up by 5D for a combo. Anyway... Reasons why I believe Ragna will never be CS1 level again Warning: Incoming Scrub Opinion 6A doesn't have gatlings and had an overall hitbox nerf, making it actually kinda bad as far as anti-airs go, and pretty much a no-go as a pressure tool.5D doesn't float on ground hit.All of his specials have repeat proration (as they should).22C is only +3 or +4 now.BK doesn't gain 50 heat per combo anymore.Inferno Divider has half the active frames it did in CS1, and slightly nerfed invul frames. Think of him as still requiring the skill needed to play him well in CS2, he just gets rewarded better for it now in many cases. IMHO, CSX is making him better, not dumber. Jourdal Posted November 14, 2011 Posted November 14, 2011 I agree with you Lumin, i'm not complaining about ragna as a character....if i played 800 matches, 500 were with jin 300 were with ragna to give you an idea of how much work i put into both. But seeing him as often as i have lately is getting on my nerves...not to mention losing some jins to him....
Tong Posted November 14, 2011 Posted November 14, 2011 Ragna was always good. They just *fixed* his reward from hitconfirms to be compatible with his efforts. CS1 was mostly a combo game, carrying the pretext of "If you get hit thrice, you should lose". In CSEX, Ragna finally became solid and what he was supposed to be. Now he can get peacefully nerfed
Solex Posted November 15, 2011 Posted November 15, 2011 CSE jin is so hype i felt like such a fraud after i was knocked out... than i played cse jin, omg i was flipping out like a little girl lol btw reius seems like he is gonna be a problem @Yuushiro: did you go to NWM?
