Star-Demon Posted September 5, 2011 Posted September 5, 2011 What matchups could you watch for hours? For me, it seems to be Litchi versus Bang. Litchi is a very difficult-to-use character, appears uncommonly, and can play anywhere from full of crazy gimmicks to robotic corner rape. Bang can be hard to use sometimes, but he's otherwise easy for those with a really good basic game. He lacks a traditional DP but only has projectiles from air, as well as can play anywhere from slow and tough to fast and wild. Both characters can be acrobatic, so you can have a match where a jump in or dash in can be vital. Litchi and Bang can have neat and creative reversals and combos. Litchi vs Bang is a 5.0 matchup because of differing advantages, but I gotta hand it to a Bang that can get in and out. Bangs are always a fun challenge.
Raine Posted September 5, 2011 Posted September 5, 2011 For playing I quite enjoy fighting against Tager (Although I still get beat alot, getting cocky and eating a distortion/360 is my epic fail every time) But for watching any really good players really, I love seeing how they change a combo to fit a situation and how they battle certain situations, its great. But matchup wise I enjoy watching Hazama/Makoto play against Hakumen. My friend plays Hakumen and counters are the bane of my existence

It's in Litchi's advantage by a long shot, but you have to play it very differently from any other matchup with Litchi. All your long range pokes are actually useful for zoning. Also, it's just really funny when Tagers don't know how to approach you and you start getting free counterhit 6Bs and IttsuA starters.

As for watching, Hakumen against anyone is pretty entertaining to watch really. I find Hakumen fun to watch in general, not sure why honestly.

Yeah the unblockable Clap stuff was bullshit, but the neutral game was fun and blocking all the Mixup from Carl was always really fun for me. In CS2, its probably Valk vs Hazama as my favorite to play. Getting around chains is fun and just trying to Wolf around his zoning in general is really challenging. Tager vs Ragna is fun as hell too but thats cause I love to IB>720 and play footsies with Ragna :3 To watch, Mu vs Bang is always hype for me. Lasers vs Nails is insane :3

kirbster Posted September 6, 2011 Posted September 6, 2011 Rachel vs Ragna is really fun, ever since I learned the matchup from watching a single Wuku vid. If not, I like Rachel vs Jin, he doesn't feel really overpowered and forces you to ALWAYS be on your toes. Plus it's hard to summon the pumpkin against him, which makes it even more tense.

It's most fun to play against characters that have strong tools all around, the approach to and flow of a match can change constantly. It also helps me realize my bad habits. Favorite to watch is Carl vs. anyone that can't zone or run away all game.

But, Makoto vs Tager because watching a Squirrel girl miss the 214-AD after the 2c and get 720'd is hilarious. And Hazama vs Tao....Or Valk vs Tao. Nothing but flying around the screen.
