And the only time I'll stop playing that game is when that character is taken out. This goes for every game I play. I only have character loyalty to Akiha. ...Which works well, because she effectively has 9 versions. >_>
Electric Red Posted December 22, 2011 Posted December 22, 2011 Douchebag question but has her combos actually changed from cs2 to EX? It doesn't seem like her stuff has changed much from what I seen but I'm not all that good at reverse engineering match vids.

Her combos have changed in the fact that some things don't work from CS2-CSX. From what I've been seeing, a few of her basic basic BnBs still work (5BB > 2BB > 5CC > 236x, etc) but DP whiff combos are changed up, don't require that dash 2CC business. As far as her basic fundamentals like IAD, the 236x, her air combos, are more or less the same just need to know when to use it, and what starters work. 5C replaces 5B in a lot of her combos. And Mugen is a big part of her gameplan this time around. I'm sure Batou, Dae or anyone else with Extend right now can explain a bit more, this is all my Day 1 experience talking here XDDD

It's hard to explain without spoiling anything from the video but after it's released, I'll go into greater detail and release my combo works notes in the new extend thread.

Would it work to still have beginner, intermediate, and advanced or not so much? I've heard snippets of how her combos are but seeing as how I can't do any of them myself I don't know how to set it up. Also Tsubaki will always look hype.

I need all of your help since I'm a poor lazy bitch who didn't get Extend to know what can and can't stay from the CS2 version of the thread. I kept the table of contents so it'd be easier to just edit it to fit or to edit it out but it's mostly going to be two posts until I've received enough information on how to organize it. I promise it will become more organized. I also apologize since it would be a lot easier if I had gotten the game myself to test what works and what doesn't from CS2. BatousaiJ Posted December 22, 2011 Posted December 22, 2011 (edited) I do believe I've found our new BnB one charge mid screen combo. Easy to hit confirm, does good damage, gets good meter gain, ends with untechable charge time and you can also time it differently to change position to your needs. Tasty. The only draw back is that you have to change your timing slighty for certain taller characters but otherwise, it works on everyone except for Tager(I believe). However, there's a good alternative to use against the big oaf as well. The more I see the application of this combo, the more I'm surprised it hasn't been used by the JPN players in standard matches yet. Edit- Upon further testing, I can see it's actually a bit more difficult to get consistently than I originally thought but it's definitely usable and there are ways to tweak it on the fly to make it work for specific characters and etc so I think all is good regardless. The difficulty level of the combo is probably at the level of the DP whiff 2CC pick up against the character it's harder to do it on, I think. The tweaks you can make to it to make it work across the vast majority of the cast is interesting though. Bat. What is this combo?
