Kiba Posted January 31, 2013 Posted January 31, 2013 Mu's 2c apparently completetly lost all head invunerability, still fine. But your 2C has this MASSIVE hitbox. At least Tsubaki still has 2C Head invulnerability despite the nerf. Btw, remember Valk has no invulnerability on his 2C and that still works wonders for him.
Surf Posted January 31, 2013 Posted January 31, 2013 I mean, if the nerf was extremely noticeable, Tsubaki's would be raging on the jbbs and Errol would've brought this up awhile ago. It probably doesn't change much.
Airk Posted January 31, 2013 Posted January 31, 2013 I'm mad that characters like Jin and hazama are going to have equally functional anti-airs when we've only got the one and we've typically had better than those characters at least. _I_ am angry that they gave LITCHI a special anti air, basically saying "Oh, we're sorry Litchi players. We've recently been informed that there is something your character isn't good at. Here is a specific tool to remedy that situation. Oh, and to apologize for making you wait, we put in on 4B, so you don't even have to move the stick out of high block, just push the button to take care of your anti-air needs."
mAc Chaos Posted January 31, 2013 Posted January 31, 2013 Just think of how Tager players have felt all these years.
abadlime Posted January 31, 2013 Posted January 31, 2013 Mu also has 6a? I'm mad that characters like Jin and hazama are going to have equally functional anti-airs when we've only got the one and we've typically had better than those characters at least. Equal? Which would be?
Surf Posted January 31, 2013 Posted January 31, 2013 Think he means the fact their 5A's can be used as an anti air. Along with their 2C's, which are their true anti airs
HiagoX Posted January 31, 2013 Posted January 31, 2013 Her 2C is still fine right now. I can assure it. Overall she seems pretty weak though. Kind of sad.

Surf Posted January 31, 2013 Posted January 31, 2013 I think Bang is the only character in the entire game without a legit anti air
Lythium Posted January 31, 2013 Posted January 31, 2013 I think Bang is the only character in the entire game without a legit anti air Jin says hi.
Surf Posted January 31, 2013 Posted January 31, 2013 Bang has no normal that can really function as an anti air at all though. Jin has 5A and 2C.
Ctrlaltwtf Posted January 31, 2013 Posted January 31, 2013 Jin says hi. I thought Jin's 2C has AA properties. Even if it is slow. And any Bang knows you have no need for things like AAs or DPs when there is such a thing as FRKZ

And any Bang knows you have no need for things like AAs or DPs when there is such a thing as FRKZ Yeah, I just checked. It has five frames of invuln, my bad. I think I was thinking of an earlier version where it was useless, haha.

The area that Litchi had trouble controlling with her other anti-air options. So I don't really see how it fails to improve her anti-air game. I'm glad we already know that it's "about 20 frames" and "pretty clearly minus" - because that hasn't been clear from the videos I've seen. If anything, I'm guilty of drawing conclusions from insufficient information on this one, but to a degree, everything about CP is insufficient information right now. And the Litchi forums are crap for getting info on this stuff. I disagree that everyone needs a "solid" anti air. Honestly, I don't think there's any one thing in the game that "everyone" needs, but there need to be reasons why things are lacking. Litchi has a commanding ground game against most characters, and a strong air to air game against many. It's not at all strange that she might be given a more complicated anti-air game. Sorry if you're offended by my irritation at a character that appears to be in contention for S tier getting new stuff that compliments her game.
TheGreatReptar Posted January 31, 2013 Posted January 31, 2013 I'm pretty sure some of the dudes in the Litchi forums did a frame by frame count on sone 60fps footage off nico to cone tot the frame conclusions. Regardless, all this theory fightan gives me a headache. I'll stick to EX training mode kthx
Daedron Posted January 31, 2013 Posted January 31, 2013 Arc sys plx release game so everyone can be quiet for at least 24 hours, the time it takes for everyone to mess around and then jump to conclusions again.
Airk Posted February 1, 2013 Posted February 1, 2013 You can get 60FPS off nico? Learn something new everyday. I tend to associated Nico with "crappy quality that the Japanese for some reason insist on using anyway." x.x And I'd settle for the mook. That'd make me shut up for 24 hours. I shall hold out hope that they haven't released one because they plan to change lots of stuff. Har har.
C0R Posted February 1, 2013 Posted February 1, 2013 Arcadia is releasing their mook calculations in march. Preorders are availible.

Mightfo Posted February 1, 2013 Posted February 1, 2013 (edited) Yes, it's extremely vertical. The area that Litchi had trouble controlling with her other anti-air options. So I don't really see how it fails to improve her anti-air game. it improves it a bit but you still have to be extremely specific in your anti air choices so saying "oh this removes one of her only weaknesses" is silly, lol. it is hardly even a band-aid on her anti air game, especially since you have to guess in advance to even control that vertical space. there's also the fact that Itsuu-A(autoguard anti air) no longer automatically does the followup on block - aka doesn't lead into pressure on block anymore - so simply jumping at her and barrier blocking is a much better option than it was before. jumping at litchi is probably more desirable than before. ground is lava I'm glad we already know that it's "about 20 frames" and "pretty clearly minus" - because that hasn't been clear from the videos I've seen. counted frames relative to video frame rate, looked at when people exit blockstun, etc. Have you ever tried to anti air with a slow-ass move in a fighting game? There's a reason you don't see it used as an anti-air as much as things like makoto 6a- because it doesn't really work, and when it does, it is used very early, not on reaction. you don't need to framecount to notice things like that. Sorry if you're offended by my irritation at a character that appears to be in contention for S tier getting new stuff that compliments her game. i'm not the one who is "offended". she got nerfs as well(no more 6b[m] wallbounce, no more 13 orphans oki, her advantage in combo meter gain is almost completely nullified, autoguard nerfs) so it is not like she was just given a shitload of stuff to propel her to a destined S tier. it was far from just straight buffs. your reaction to "my chara's anti air got nerfed a bit" with "this other character got a shitty slow new anti air that still doesnt make her anti air game as good as mine, how offensive!" is silly, lol I disagree that everyone needs a "solid" anti air. this is already a very jumpy game. but whatever, opinions You can get 60FPS off nico? Learn something new everyday. I tend to associated Nico with "crappy quality that the Japanese for some reason insist on using anyway." x.x it doesn't matter if a video is 60fps or not- as long as the rate is consistent(check how known moves count up in the video) you can get decent counts with a margin of error based on the framerate. it worked within the margins of error with counting in persona vids(except for mistakes when i didn't recognize that something was a cancel and not a link) Edited February 1, 2013 by Mightfo
Daedron Posted February 1, 2013 Posted February 1, 2013 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sKEgkmbxFn0&t=22s Is it just the quality of the video or did Tsubaki go through Tao's bowling ball?
