GG's to everyone I played in player match rooms and ranked.

Shoutouts to the Bang player in ranked that messaged me asking that I don't put them on my YouTube channel.

Man ,that was a good session! I'm getting better!

My (second) favorite thing is the last hit of daisharin killing people when they think its their turn!

I've done this setup 4 times today.

I don't get why companies that design fgs refuse to implement online training mode. It would be so nice learning new characters this way, sucking with Rachel online is really bugging me :(

Couldn't you just ask to play the Rachel players and have them show you stuff? As in not play competitively at all. I've seen some videos of the Japanese players in SF4 literally just talking to each other and showing each other stuff before actually playing matches EVEN ONLINE.

Or the same thing you see when you watch location test videos.

^ THIS. it's actually a better way to approach a character, and learn better at least to me.

Just play on a big ass HD TV without game mode on if you wanna test stuff out with a few frames of input delay. That's assuming if what you're talking about by "online training mode" is input delay.

I think he means playing with other people and having health regenerate so you can train against a real person rather than a dummy/CPU.

Not exactly. I would really love to play footsies with someone while having infinite life bars. What you are saying is the best alternative.

Ah, so that's what he meant by that.

The most beneficial thing you can do for your spacing game other than playing matches is make a gameplan for neutral.

Figure out how to deal with the most important tools your opponent has, and understand what RPS games you start by doing so.

I don't want to see another TK knife for the rest of the night. i won the first match i'm like "ok, we got it this time fuck ya zoning." loses another 10 matches.

I lost that first match because I wasn't even zoning there, I was just doing reckless rushdown. The other match I lost because "lol Ragna".

I keep telling myself when i play you, just sit there. and wait for you to come to me, but the other impatient part is telling me gotta get over them knives somehow. i even tried jin :(

Posted

Oh no, I will sit there and just spam TK Ice Blades, wait for you to rush and react to your approach accordingly. I'm all but patience lol.

Fuck it, I'm gonna tell you another way to beating this strategy because I feel sorry for you lol: dash > Barrier IB. Just rush down, come to a halt with a Barrier when you're about to get hit by an Ice Sword and you'll IB it. You'll negate some of the block-stun and at that point you'll probably be at the range where you can do IAD j.C if I try another TK Ice Blade. Of course I can always just look for the IAD j.C and punish you for it but hey, just another way to try and get in.

Remember that I don't use TK Ice Blades to just zone, I use them to approach too. You can't compete with Jin in the air unless you use j.C preemptively and even then I can just space my j.C and get a CH. Your best best is the ground approach, that's why you need to employ Dash > Barrier IB.
