Skye Posted December 17, 2012 Posted December 17, 2012 Every time Tager lands one, I want to play him more.
A.X.I.S. Posted December 17, 2012 Author Posted December 17, 2012 That vid is an example on the proper use of grand punish. Maybe we can use it to beat Litchi's 6B[M].
Manta Posted December 17, 2012 Posted December 17, 2012 Hrm, There was a combo in there that really interested me: 6A > 2C > CT, 5B > 6A > 236A, 3C > (623C), 5C > 6B > j.5C > j.5D > j.63214A for 4335 damage. Heat neutral, or near enough.
hakimiru Posted December 17, 2012 Posted December 17, 2012 Question for you guys since I've been wondering for a while...are there official English names for CP moves listed somewhere that I don't know about? I've noticed that everyone seems to call the move "Grand Punish", which would be written as "グランドパニッシュ", but it's called "グレンパニッシュ", or "Guren Punish" (with Guren here probably meaning Crimson), which is why I kept calling it that (and embarassing myself).
mAc Chaos Posted December 17, 2012 Posted December 17, 2012 (edited) Guren sounds like Engrish for Grand. lol Or maybe he's actually saying Guren and everybody is just hearing it wrong. Edited December 17, 2012 by mAc Chaos

Oh so the real name is actually Crimson Punish? That does sound pretty cool and its a very appropriate name since The Red Devil used it to punish the crap out of Azrael.
Darlos9D Posted December 18, 2012 Posted December 18, 2012 Well I think I'm just going to start calling it "Pancake" anyway.

I like Crimson Punish, sounds better than Grand Punish, and considering that the 720 is called Genesic Emerald Tager Buster i can see Crimson Punish being the correct name
mAc Chaos Posted December 18, 2012 Posted December 18, 2012 So it's called CP. They need to stop naming moves and mechanics with the same initials as BB games.
Hecatom Posted December 18, 2012 Posted December 18, 2012 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7Br99MQ6ac8&feature=youtu.be#t=8m00s He uses it pretty well about 8 minutes in. That entire round. Man that Tager play got me hyped
hakimiru Posted December 18, 2012 Posted December 18, 2012 Oh, glad to see it wasn't anything official then. I thought I was just derping really hard :v
Manta Posted December 18, 2012 Posted December 18, 2012 They may, of course, Bork it completely in the localisation by calling it "Red Retribution" or something.
Isuna Posted December 18, 2012 Posted December 18, 2012 I highly doubt it is "Crimson Punish". Why? All Tager's attack are Engrish-only and I hardly believe Tager have developed the move to counter Hakumens already existing Gur®en. While Guren certainly isn't the "standard" way of transcribing Grand, the "a" in Grand is closer to Japanese "e" than "a" I would say. Japanese have lately evolved in transcribing for better or worse, and I think this is just a product of that. Heck, check UNI out, their transcriptions are insane. Waldstein, which probably should be Warutoshutain is Warenstain. Since when Wald "Wallen"?
SoWL Posted December 18, 2012 Posted December 18, 2012 They just had to name him like that for that silly Valentine's Day joke.
Skye Posted December 18, 2012 Posted December 18, 2012 Lets call it GP until the official NA term is revealed.
NumeroGaijin Posted December 19, 2012 Posted December 19, 2012 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7Br99MQ6ac8&feature=youtu.be#t=8m00s He uses it pretty well about 8 minutes in. That entire round. As a Tiger player, I smell another complaint from Japanese players to further degrade Tager. This maybe patched out to give a smaller hitbox. In return they will give us jump cancel 6A back. Oh man I troll so hard.
NumeroGaijin Posted December 19, 2012 Posted December 19, 2012 Tiger Lol smartphone auto correct stuff. I caught the second one but missed the first.
Airk Posted December 19, 2012 Posted December 19, 2012 Someday, I am going to make an image of "TEIGA" in the "SEGA" font. Someday.
A.X.I.S. Posted December 19, 2012 Author Posted December 19, 2012 Do not post Tager puns for crying out loud.
