Errol Posted December 19, 2012 Posted December 19, 2012 Tager players have a certain animal magnetism to them. Oddly attracted to Bullet or Makoto or Bullet. Or was that the other way around?
Lord Pwnge18 Posted December 19, 2012 Posted December 19, 2012 Do not post Tager puns for crying out loud. Don't Bustah nut Goddamn I can do better than that

TagerTime Posted December 19, 2012 Posted December 19, 2012 I'm pretty sure Bullet is not an animal. She is in bed!
Mucky Posted December 19, 2012 Posted December 19, 2012 I'm pretty sure Bullet is not an animal. Technically she is.
Darlos9D Posted December 20, 2012 Posted December 20, 2012 Whatever. At any rate Tager probably has the most healthy female prospects, lol. Even if one is a psycho bitch.
Skye Posted December 20, 2012 Posted December 20, 2012 You know that's not actually what "healthy" means, right? BACK ON TOPICS GO Any OD combos discovered yet?
A.X.I.S. Posted December 20, 2012 Author Posted December 20, 2012 I haven't heard anything about OD's maybe Isuna can ask Tager players to confirm?
TagerTime Posted December 20, 2012 Posted December 20, 2012 i just noticed something, Overdrive 720 actually inflicts magnetizm on the opponent as seen in this video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=24Wc009IjBU&feature=youtu.be#t=1m10s if you look closely you can see that Hakumen is not magnetized when he is grabbed but is magnetized after he gets slammed into the ground.
mAc Chaos Posted December 20, 2012 Posted December 20, 2012 Ah, that does make sense considering the animation has that giant golden charge around Hakumen as he's getting slammed.
Osuna Posted December 20, 2012 Posted December 20, 2012 Wait....So what does overdrive do if not give magnetism?
SoWL Posted December 20, 2012 Posted December 20, 2012 It constantly pulls in the magnetized enemy, as if you were holding 6A or something like that. The pull doesn't seem to be that strong, though. It also modifies most of the D moves, though I'm not exactly sure how.
evilben Posted December 20, 2012 Posted December 20, 2012 (edited) best use of OD right here! http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_detailpage&v=211H-AZPtY0#t=907s one thing ive seen a lot is using it to cancel out of the recover of 3C into 5B to get better damage off of an otherwise weak unmagged combo. also, now that we have air specials do we get to talk about the best ways to tager knee them? Edited December 20, 2012 by evilben
Skye Posted December 20, 2012 Posted December 20, 2012 The only OD feature I know for sure about Tager is that his D moves all wallbounce on normal hit, as if they were hit with Spark. Spark gauge also charges way faster.
Darlos9D Posted December 20, 2012 Posted December 20, 2012 tager knee Sigh. Though now that I think of it: maybe if you're right next to the opponent and you TK GP, it will cross them up, since it propels Tager forward a bit. Also: I swear, during some match video, I specifically looked to see if OD 720 magnetized an unmagged opponent, and it didn't seem to. Then again I think that 720 was a KO. Not sure if maybe the game didn't bother to apply magnetism at that point or something.

Darlos9D Posted December 20, 2012 Posted December 20, 2012 Ah. Well then, IGNORE ME. Part of me feels like OD is worth it just for 720.
evilben Posted December 20, 2012 Posted December 20, 2012 well, OD makes GETB do more damage and mag them as well as giving you stop time to buffer the 720 in. its probably going to be its best use...
Manta Posted December 20, 2012 Posted December 20, 2012 Just for the record, my post wasn't confirming or denying that OD 720 magnetised.
vOddy Posted December 23, 2012 Posted December 23, 2012 (edited) I recently started playing BlazBlue for the first time, and I am using a hitbox. I decided to use Iron Tager, and I am having problems with some of his inputs. Doing two or three circles in a row often makes me jump, and I can't get the move out. Do you have any tips on how to do it? What I really want to know is, am I failing because I am bad (which I am) or because I am using a hitbox? My friend told me that Iron Tager could be problematic when playing with buttons only. Edit: I got it to work, but I always jump before anything comes out. Is there any way to do those moves without jumping? Edited December 23, 2012 by vOddy
darkblade77 Posted December 23, 2012 Posted December 23, 2012 (edited) What's commonly done is that people will 'buffer' the 360/720 motion by inputting it while Tager is doing something else that he won't jump out of(like jumping since he can't jump twice, any normal you can't jump cancel out of, Gadget Finger animation, etc) and time it to finish right when he's recovered from that. Doing a 'standing 360/720' is possible but it's pretty hard no matter what controller you're using and takes a lot of practice. Not very many people can do standing 720s consistently AFAIK. I have no idea if using a hitbox makes it more difficult or not, though. Edited December 23, 2012 by darkblade77

What you do is this 4123698 B, You don't need a full circle, and Tager has 6 frames of jump start up, any of which can be cancelled into a special move.
