800 isn't low. Tsubaki super min damage is 480.

No, that's definitely low enough to warrant not even bothering. 480 is just destitute.

Also, pretty sure Omohi's min damage is 600, not 800.

6a: CH floats less, j2C will no longer connect.

5b: lower hitbox is gone

2b: hurtbox lasts past hitbox being gone

6b: second hit forces crouch, special cancel gone, 6b> 6c connects, recovery increased.

5c: hurtbox comes out faster

2c: hurtbox comes out faster

head invincibility is removed

CH untechable time is reduced.

floats higher, so j2C connects

6c: hitbox is smaller?

JC: hurtbox comes out faster, jump cancel on block

J2C: FC removed, forces crouch, untech time reduced

CA: changed to 5b

The bolded are the changes I 'm feeling a bit down about, although I suppose the whole hurtboxes coming out earlier thing might not be as bad as I'm thinking. It could be very minor. I've had shit like this: Ragnas_5A_zpsc2a861f5.jpg happen to me on more than one occasion, so our hurtboxes being more... exposed kind of scares me a bit. No prizes for guessing who got counter-hit in that picture :P

6A floating less on CH is fair enough I feel. That move was really easy to confirm.

5B was already too good. It didn't need a lower hitbox.

6B is looking much better. A lot more reward off a confirm, but only if we net both hits. Interesting.

I have my doubts about 6C's hitbox being smaller. I could just be seeing things, but from what I've witnessed the hitbox looks intact.

J2C I think we can deal with. That forced crouch is pretty nice, it'll especially make the move worth using midscreen :)

6a floats less universally, it won't combo into j.2c period, it's less of a CH change and more of an overall move re-purpose. This likely means that 6a :6c will only barely work.

6c's hitbox is wider and shorter. The old high 6c stuff doesn't work anymore, which is likely the reason most Japanese say it's smaller.

All in all, early extended hitboxes are fair. It's something every character with fast long pokes had to deal with, except for µ. Now she's playing the same neutral game as the rest of the cast.

Thanks for the insight C0R, those changes make a lot more sense now. So it looks like the length of 6C's hitbox has been retained, but the height is speculated to be shorter? And what kind of practical combo sequences do you think will be possible with midscreen CH 6A and CH 2C?

To be exact, the minimum range of 6c is closer, so it'll hit nearby opponents better than it did, whereas it lost the top and the tip.

The new 6a Ch combo, for now, will likely be a modified version of the current one. I've already speculated a couple new combo routes midscreen, but I can't test them until I have the game.

2c Ch starter will likely be something like

2c CH 2[D] SoD~ 66 }{otg 5c 6c 214[d~] 66~6b 66~5c 623c (stick) 66~5c 6c 5d j.2c

I'll still do those u-12 mirrors with you but I'd rather do 3 man room so I can see how you play each MU aka match-up.

got sick so i couldnt do them with you and I gotta add another at least 10 matches to the video thread again.

I wanna focus on TTT2 and maybe buy SFxTK to keep myself busy as far as fighters go atm

I can play you now easily. I'm fine now but I just need to know what's your main objective in these mirror matches with me?

I know we can take notes from each other but at some point I also gotta add one more person in the room who knows the u-12 match-up so we can watch other u-12 play. We can watch and talk about the pros and cons that we do. maybe other stuff like oki set-ups, mix-ups, mind games, gimmicks, etc we can share.

I remember seeing someone last weekend at a MTG PTQ in Philly with a Murakumo mat. I forgot who was on it but I was surprised that another person on Earth had similar interests as me.

Maybe I should get a Blazblue mat.

Mu's new counter assault with 5b does not whiff on a crouching bang. Not sure if 5b has actually a better hitbox now or that bang was always that large

Which DP RC combo do you mean? We haven't exactly lost any.

Even though 5b and CA have the same animation, they might not have the same hitboxes, this would be awesome.
