Nemesis Posted December 26, 2012 Posted December 26, 2012 Merry Christmas everyone - a bit late but I was away - cor how do we deal with 2a anti airs... Case in point jin
Nemesis Posted December 26, 2012 Posted December 26, 2012 I use J.b religiously as my jump pressure -- but it still seems difficult to land on that crouching ass jin 2a -- especially highly mobile ones - but I will consider you stein advice
Lord Pwnge18 Posted December 26, 2012 Posted December 26, 2012 I hear that a great way to never get anti-aired is to just never jump
Nemesis Posted December 26, 2012 Posted December 26, 2012 I hear that a great way to never get anti-aired is to just never jump I really only have one response to this : http://youtu.be/m0JME7eodTk?t=7m25s
Lord Pwnge18 Posted December 26, 2012 Posted December 26, 2012 I don't really understand Should I feel threatened
YukiBlue Posted December 26, 2012 Posted December 26, 2012 I hear that a great way to never get anti-aired is to just never jump QFT Mu...Jumping TOWARDS me? I dont eveeeeeennnnnnnnn
xntrikcat Posted December 26, 2012 Posted December 26, 2012 2a beats j.c or badly timed j.b. j.2c beats 2a. 5a beats j.2c. Welcome to rock paper scissors!
Nemesis Posted December 26, 2012 Posted December 26, 2012 yea... lol Ive always known its a guessing game but some jins really spam that 2a and I want to learn to react better
Lord Pwnge18 Posted December 26, 2012 Posted December 26, 2012 My flight was canceled after 2 hours of delays. Fuck this gay earth
Tecta1Eastside Posted December 26, 2012 Posted December 26, 2012 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=npco5ujOyjo Maven's platinum too good. 6b(2) being unsafe on IB really shows in the 1st 6 mins of this video. the mu didnt use oki or enough spacing against plat either but it was good to see a nice platinum even though i dont play platinum
C0R Posted December 26, 2012 Author Posted December 26, 2012 (edited) [3:34:10 PM] Cor: µ has no limit on 6a chains, she can gapless chain into a proper spacing so that 6b will always be within 6c's minimum range [3:34:16 PM] Cor: regardless of ib [3:35:04 PM] Cor: dashing 2a 6a 2b 6a 5b 6a 6b [3:35:11 PM] Cor: even with full ib [3:35:21 PM] Cor: would still be within 6c's NEW BUFFED minimum range µ's mixup is already really good, 6b should be the second to last resort for opening people up. Ground Mixup Priority frame(jump)trap > tic throw > extended gatlings into late 2b > trm > 6b > fuzzy j.b This is all considering, of course, that you can't setup airdash mixup for some reason. C0R Posted December 26, 2012 Author Posted December 26, 2012 I rarely see almost any µ player make full use of her extensive gatling chart. It's really unique to the character that she can chain so much into so much for so long at such wide cancel intervals.
Nemesis Posted December 26, 2012 Posted December 26, 2012 These are really fabulous points - I will make a concerted effort to utilize this

Zeromus_X Posted December 27, 2012 Posted December 27, 2012 I've been wondering why the JP Mus haven't been using jB as much, I mean, it might not be Jin or Hakumen's jB level of jump-in attack but it's pretty up there, especially when you have steins backing you up. The speed and hitbox and everything look the same as EX as far as I can tell. JP Mus keep using j2C as some sort of anti-air bait and it makes me go Oh well, maybe when people stop losing to D spam and being free to 6B we'll see Mus be more creative. Also this talk about gatlings makes me wonder if 2A > 5A will chain on block (without whiff) on a few characters still. It worked on Tager, Haku, and Relius (if you chained from 2A first) in EX, letting you do 2A > 5A > tick throw/TRM setups as well as 5A > 5A frame traps or 5A > IAD in your blockstrings before even having to go into 6A or a B move at all. Really let you just manhandle Relius in the corner, maybe it will work on Azreal too since he looks pretty tall.

I'm pretty sure it'll hit the same characters crouching it always did, good question about Azrael though.
Nemesis Posted December 27, 2012 Posted December 27, 2012 I just added you to my skype -- when are you doing something? or its already over?
Tecta1Eastside Posted December 27, 2012 Posted December 27, 2012 I just got done eating since its 7:40pm EST where i live. I probably missed it also

It's an amazing air-to-air though. Jin's jump-in is j.2C, j.B is an air-to-air tool.
xntrikcat Posted December 27, 2012 Posted December 27, 2012 It's not so much that Mu's gatling is bad, but you can't cram all that stuff in with barrier guard pushing you away, at which point you have to board the train to gimmick town and start pushing that C... Not to mention, prior to CP, her 6b was so safe that as long as you first condition people to not mash, there was no reason to not push it. Also, Mu's anti-jump strings tend to be risky in my experience. 6a lacks the range and 2c is slow and doesn't leave many options if blocked. Though, who really needs anti-jumpout strings when people just run into 5c in all distances =D
