Speaking of things we're not able to do, I can't seem to be able to cancel strike fall into justice phorizer. Is there a special trick to it, or is the timing just really REALLY strict?

It's not very strict. There's a minimum height that you have to do Strike Fall from, but it's pretty much just a standard j.B > j.C > jc j.B > j.C > j.236C > j.D height. You have to wait a while after they fall before you do the Phorizer, though. If you try inputting it too early, you won't get it.

I think the confuson comes from the wiki stating that Strike Fall is super cancelable, which isn't the case. It's just a regular link after Strike Fall's recovery. I'll go ahead and edit that out.

Try to activate Phorizer when the opponent is just above your head. If you try to mash it out or do it too early you'll just stand there.

Yeah, that sure is confusing. So it's not cancellable, it's a link.

Finally got the chance to play a decent amount of matches this weekend and my god, this character's neutral seems almost nonexistent, kept getting outlined 90% of the time by panicking players, and yet I see players like SKD make her work.

Man I wish I had his work ethic. :v:

Well her general neutral game is use sonic sabres a lot to zone and really know the spacing on moves like 5B and 6C (both versions) and picking your spots to air sonic sabre for either mode. I don't play online to much but it really annoys people when I just sit there and try to lame people out with a basic fireball and anti air gameplan, once you have enough stars (or you see the chance) is when you kinda go ham with GA mode. The reason why I say kinda is its really easy to get anti aired if you GA dash brainlessly with j.C and such, you really have to pick your moments to go in or set up the chance to start applying pressure, it gets harder once people figure out to block high more then low when she comes at you with a GA dash, that's when you have to really train them to block those GA dash jCs and start mixing in empty GA Dash to lows or do tick throw set ups.

Part of the reason why I say to know the spacing for 5B and both 6Cs is you can whiff punish with them or use them as pressure tools mid screen. Max range (or near max range) 5B into 236C is really hard to punish with a lot of characters, and 6C in normal mode had some nice range to it and you can keep it safe with sonic sabre or a stance cancel, not to mention it grants you a fatal counter if you can confirm that and use crush trigger to keep it going. 6C in GA is +1 on block and is generally safe to use and makes a great whiff punish.

So bottom line, be patient cause you already are at a slight disadvantage against most characters once the round starts, her neutral game is not the best but its still possible to play a strong neutral game with zoning and careful spacing.

I think izayoi's neutral is pretty good but one has to establish a pace first (getting the first hit helps a lot). I often find myself winning easier while doing small damage in normal mode neutral than rushing with GA. ....I need more trainning, lol.

I'll send you my skype contact. I encourage everyone to do the same. Learning in a group with skype is way better then doing things on your own. Having been in a ggpo skype group for years has helped my game out tremendously so I would definitely be down for this.

Sounds like a good idea, though I'm usually busy with other things so I can't get on Skype to often, but here it is anyway, aznswordmaster1. I usually prefer posting in the forums cause I can comment/ask/answer things whenever I can.

Most characters are free to it, haha. If you have 100 meter and can astral, you can use that to get out... but that's about it. If they set it up badly, you can roll and run out, too, but that's a pretty moot point if they're doing real setups.

So apparently Izayoi is totally free to Kokomoe black hole setup.

For the first time, Izayoi's on equal footing with about 81% of the cast \o/

Seriously, like Tari said, most characters are pretty fucked by it anyways.
