someonewhodied Posted March 28, 2015 Posted March 28, 2015 the difference between using 2A and antiair against jin's 6B is that a 2A is 7-9 frames startup and hits lower. if you have an antiair with frame 4 or 5 head invul you can antiair it reliably. And it hits higher so there is no risk of doing it earlier.
Dark Ranger88 Posted March 28, 2015 Posted March 28, 2015 Yeah I can't 2A Jin's 6B as Makoto because her 2A just whiffs completely. Gotta 5A or 6A....or already be mashing DP hehehehe
Tong Posted March 28, 2015 Posted March 28, 2015 Remember kids, Jin's 6B has foot invul! And most 2A's have foot attribute, so...
someonewhodied Posted March 28, 2015 Posted March 28, 2015 Remember kids, Jin's 6B has foot invul! And most 2A's have foot attribute, so... Oh yeah, thats another thing. Jin6B has foot invul for like, 80% of it. 2A won't work. If your 2A hits noel 4D, it won't hit jin6B

Fame96 Posted March 28, 2015 Posted March 28, 2015 Unless the jin is doing 6B from 6C I usually refrain from mashing because of the foot invuln. (Not good at 6A it with terumi, especially since i am out of practice.) Like terumi's 6B, you gotta remember that's a lot of booty you're going to give up if you mess up. P.S. I know 5As work too but i'm still afraid of the risks most of the time since i don't have the timing down 100%
o Nereus o Posted March 28, 2015 Posted March 28, 2015 Y do people keep sleeping on Terumi? He was never bad in the first place, just meter reliant which is solved in one combo. He has mix ups they just don't have the best reward. His jump 2D is harder to combo from since they reduced the hit stun but it was a good mix up when used correctly, it just has less reward. His command grab is decent but people seem to prefer staying with pressure for some reason. On top of that, no one mentioned his buffs. His 236D is faster and his pressure reset has less recover. Plus, mid screen jump loops give him mid screen damage that isn't so character specific. Terumi isn't bad. I think people just don't take him seriously. Sent from my ZTE-X500 using Tapatalk 2 His command grab is garbage.... i25 with horredous recovery that leaves him in CH state. The reward/risk isn't even at all. His mixup is ok, but not threatening IMO. His 236D is -8 on block now and the range on it was reduced quite a bit. His j.2D is almost useless now. Honestly, he's bad now lol. He was ok in 1.1.. but they nerfed him to the point where it's laughable. The loops are cool.. but it honestly doesn't make up for the nerfs at all.

I will still take this terumi over csex makoto or cs1 rachel.
Dark Ranger88 Posted March 28, 2015 Posted March 28, 2015 Jin can gatling into 6B from 5A, 5B, 5C, 2A, 2C, and 6C. Assuming he does the safest option which is go from 2A>6B(2A is -1), woudln't you have to get the AA out early to hit him out of it. Not to turn this into the Jin discussion forum, but 6C would be the "safest" move to use before 6B because it has the most blockstun (20 frames). Meaning there is only a 4 frame gap before 6B hits you. In this case only AAs that get head invuln on frame 5 and reversals would be able to beat Jin's 6B. Unless you instant block his 6C that is.
BlackYakuzu94 Posted March 28, 2015 Posted March 28, 2015 and I completely forgot about blockstun, I should learn to think about that more. Fffuuuu, ok disregard my previous post lol.
StylisH Posted March 28, 2015 Posted March 28, 2015 Even with all the mess they did to him. I will still take this terumi over csex makoto or cs1 rachel. I see you're a gambling man
Moy_X7 Posted March 28, 2015 Posted March 28, 2015 You guys should take all this Jin discussion to the general thread up there, it's a ghost town right now lol As for reacting to Jin 6B, I personally can't do it even off a 5F 5A but my reaction time is not the best. Now give me a Plat Bat 5D and I'm home runnin' the shit out of that. Best bet for me is to IB it and 5A as Plat since he has nothing that's faster than Plat 5A after 0 on block 6B (cuz lol I don't play other characters #when'sSaya)
Fame96 Posted March 28, 2015 Posted March 28, 2015 I see you're a gambling man Yea. I will go all in even with a bad hand.
Fame96 Posted March 28, 2015 Posted March 28, 2015 Didn't read this thread after my post yesterday so meh. Nu matchup analysis (in extend) by me (with short not-so-in-depth descriptions): (For only her worse matchups) 3-7: Noel, Bang Noel: This matchup has always been hard for nu. Sure you can zone, but if you predict wrong twice in a match you're fucked. You have no way out of noel resetting pressure either unless you make a proper guess of an estimated 1/4 chance. Bang: This matchup isn't even about nails messing up your drive. Bang can teleport. Off of guardpointing any projectile. He doesn't NEED to clash out projectiles or stop you from using them. He has near endless blockstrings and without a DP you can't OS his mixups. Gravity seed nerf means his teleport distance isn't cut to 1/3rd anymore. 3.5-6.5 Hazama, Izayoi, Azrael Hazama; Chains, Nuff said, Everything you can do minus gravity seed, he can do better. He can also use 50 heat to punish anything you throw out while grounded ON REACTION. Also you don't have a DP so good luck getting out of his pressure resets. Unless you properly backdash specific moves. THEN we good. Izayoi: This matchup would be heavily in nu's favor if it weren't for gain arte mode. If you let izayoi land just one combo you fucked up. You have no way of actually locking down izayoi in 2.0 because gravity seed no longer cuts teleport length by 1/3rd also. It only stops movement. The gravity seed nerf really goofed with nu in this matchup. Azrael: Growler into Phanlax. This gatling is annoying. Also his damn backdash and nu's inability to OS his crossups. 7 frame crossup gustav. Have fun with that. (though i hear that dash-TK specials got a lot harder to do with azrael) 4-6: Carl, Tager, Kokonoe Carl: This matchup used to be a bit harder but drives piercing and continuing for a bit really helps. You still gotta stop the doll and carl at the same time though. its not THAT bad but its pretty bad. Tager: Welllllll, just don't get magnetized. I'd say this matchup is 7-3 till you get magnetized, then that matchup number is reversed. Kokonoe: LOL Graviton>Fireball>Teleport, Gravity seed can't stop teleports anymore. Basically, anyone with a good teleport has a nice option vs nu now. I think gravity seed broke. Can i return it and get a new one? If anyone wants more in depth explanations on matchups, i'll PROBABLY post more in depth stuff in nu matchup threads after i've gotten to try out the matchups myself. This is just based off what i've seen. Tao and Valk are actually pretty bad vs nu. Since nu has a frame 4 head-invul antiair now, its possible to completely OS valk/tao pressure/blockstrings. Also all the options in neutral too. You know i find it really wierd that I prefer to use terumi instead of hazama in this matchup despite the fact that terumi sucks againest nu (until he gets 50 heat that is.)
BlackYakuzu94 Posted March 28, 2015 Posted March 28, 2015 Sometimes a guy just wants to mash buttons with his favorite character regardless of wins and losses.
Tokkan Posted March 29, 2015 Posted March 29, 2015 Apparently at BlazBlue Music Live 2015, they announced another BuruFes on July 12. At the last BuruFes in 2012, they announced BBCP. ... So, incoming BB4 announcement in July?

FA-ST Posted March 29, 2015 Posted March 29, 2015 wow, thats coming alot faster than expected Judging by your profile picture, Izayoi is too ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°) I'm sorry, I had to.
Nemesis Posted March 29, 2015 Posted March 29, 2015 given the shitty time she has had, i would say its long overdue... but seriously, a bb4 announcement already? if thats even the case... wouldnt this be faster than the bbcp announcement?
Zedar90 Posted March 29, 2015 Posted March 29, 2015 given the shitty time she has had, i would say its long overdue... but seriously, a bb4 announcement already? if thats even the case... wouldnt this be faster than the bbcp announcement? Not really. BBCS with Relius came out to the arcade in October 2011, and BBCP was announced in August 2012 BBCP ver 2.0 came out to the arcade in October 2014 and BB4 might be announced in July 2015. BBCP came out 3 years after CS1 and BB4 might come out 3 years after BBCP. It's the same, only BBCP Extend comes out later than BBCS Extend.
Dawn of Musou Posted March 29, 2015 Posted March 29, 2015 But Extend would have been out for only like 3-4 months or so, isn't that kinda bad for business or am I looking at this wrong?
Zedar90 Posted March 29, 2015 Posted March 29, 2015 Isn't it different markets? and isn't Blazblue very front loaded in sales? 3 months is probably enough. It's taking at least over a year for the console version for BB4 to come, and it's probably better for Arc to keep the arcade scene alive.

"Keep the arcade scene live", after losing a lot of players for what they did in 2.0, this is something they must desperate to do.
