Thanks for recording the GGAC finals spooky. Steve H vs Marlinpie was hype, wish I'd been there in person. -

You've got great fundamentals and execution which can carry you far in any fighter.( makes me somewhat jealous since my execution is the worst of just about any player in NE) Sorry guys for pulling a no show. My car is still unhighwaydriveable, and the other car I was planning to take was unavailable. I'll see y'all at NER/SB -
Never stopped playing. New England still has a strong scene and we often play against New York and New Jersey as well. I haven't quite gotten into Blazblu. The lack of balance, nonexistent oki (can't get a feel for momentum), and instant blocking for meter turn me off.

True, the more sets you play with more people the better. I try to set a limit on how many money matches I agree to, by how much money I can afford to lose. If for example, I can afford to lose $50; I could do 5 $10 ft3 MMs, and I won't go over my limit if I fuck up and lose all of them. Money I win can be used to run bets back, MM players I meet at the venue, or buy bonus food.

I've taken work off for the weekend so I'll definitely be there. From New England we've got me and blueNINE comfirmed, Nazgul/Mindgam3/NoiseTank are maybes. I'll try to convince some more NE players to come cause this tourney's gonna be epic! So far I got my MM with Senkei, ft3 $10 So, are you up for doing our MM, at Seasons Beatings? Zinac I'll MM you ft3 $10 if you're up for it Matt Frank I'll MM you again ft3 $10 if you're coming to this. I'm open to money matches from pretty much anybody in GG, but this poor peasant can only afford to bet up to $10 a set.

Actually I'm his ride (when he's not traveling by himself via motorcycle). If you're near Boston I could probably pick you up as well, however I just want you to know that my current car is falling apart and can't take the highway. I'm in the process of finding a new one and should have a new one by next month, but there's a slim chance I won't. . . Gas money is good. Just post up when you figure out the time. It's possible if you can't hold the meetup at your place, that Noisetank could host you. You'd have to ask him though; his place isn't under construction, but his room is tiny and filled to the brim with tech. The two of us were making plans to see Scott Pilgrim vs The World, if we end up watching it in Boston it's possible we could get some games in before/after. I'll pm you my number so we have a more immediate choice of communication, when we do end up meeting up/ going to NER/ etc. Everyone with a PS3 should buy the Scott Pilgrim brawler, it's incredibly awesome:yaaay: -

I should have another car (or at least access to one) by then, I can probably give you a lift to NE Revolution as Boston is pretty much on my way; I often pick up Max from mission hill anyway. I'd like to go to your meet up pending work/vehicular requirements. -
So I hear Seasons Beatings is supposed to be huge for Guilty Gear this Year? If that's the case I'll try to make it down. I'd prefer singles over teams for the main tourney, but if the majority wants teams go with that. Ghaleon How does the prepay thing work exactly? If there's info on the front page I missed it. If I make it down I'll MM you FT3 $10 MacArthur Blunts. I believe you owe me a MM as well from the rain check at NEC. (If you really are making it down to Boston this Month let me know when you're available)

I won't be able to make it for Saturday. Hopefully I can still make it for the team tourney on Sunday

What day is the GGAC tourney?

It's been a few months since I last read your blog, just finished catching up on it. It's really cool that you're getting respect from Japanese players (Patchi saying you're one of 6 foreign players on the Japanese level, Everyone giving you props during/after your match against Mugen's team in the B2 block finals, etc) It sucks that Guilty Gear only got 16 spots this time, it makes it that much harder to get in, but you're stepping up your game, playing better than ever. It's not over yet, you can still make it in. America is rooting for you!

Apologies for being unhype and zombieish for this. NY players, I waited too long to get the MM's started. First I was waiting for singles to finish; then I got sucked into Dark Stalkers 3, then I looked up and you had all left. I'll MM you all next tournament I see you at (possibly Summer Jam). Good meeting you man. I haven't played Axl much since RedBeard stopped playing. I always rush Axl down cause once he pushes me back, it's very tough to get in again. Gotta stay in your face:arg: Stryfe thank you for organizing this. Fraga thanks for assisting with the brackets. Spooky thanks for streaming us. That was quite a setup you brought. Nazgul: congrats on making $$. Team: is it just me, or did our chances of winning/losing correlate perfectly with me anchoring/not anchoring?

This is very last minute, but I just confirmed that I can borrow a car for the trip down, and that I'll be picking up Max from Boston. If anyone desperately needs a ride down, post up or pm me. I'll be checking dustloop before I leave and once I pick Max up in the morning. Vyers vs New York Money Match Gauntlet Round 2! Ogawa (is this you Biscuits?) GGAC $10 FT3 Zidane GGAC $10 FT3 XAQshinor GGAC$10 FT3 Mynus GGAC$10 FT3 Drunken Chicken GGAC$10 FT3 :arg::arg::arg::arg::arg::arg::arg::arg::arg::arg:

Not everyone is throwing in the towel, people still play the game in the north east at least. I didn't go to EVO this year for several reasons: 1) GGAC was not an official tournament. 2) all my money is going toward replacing my car/ student tuition. 3) Staying in Vegas rapes my wallet more than the location of any other major I have to fly to. 4) I already went to NEC and FR this year. I'd like to make it Frosty Faustings next year, but it looks like money will be even tighter for me than last year (less grant money). I will try to make it happen though. I agree with bbq sauce that choosing one major for everyone to attend is a good plan. The only thing is, people tend to go to the majors that are closest to them (NEC costs me way less than FR or EVO, because I don't have to fly there), which makes picking one as a community difficult. edit: Good luck in the SBO Qualifiers. It would be really sweet if you make it in this year.

I'd be up to play it casually once in a while, but I never got deep into the game (Yun and parries piss me off). Another possibility is 2nd impact. The game has better music, awesome post battle illustrations, and is supposedly more balanced then 3rd strike. The major downsides are no one knows it, there are fewer characters, and Urien doesn't sound as cool.

Reminds me of last year when they kicked us off the casual setups during the end of the team tourney (winners finals if I recall correctly). They made us leave half an hour before they were supposed to shut down the casuals section. Ended up finishing the tourney in HintaLove's/ElvenShadow's room. . . Anyway: good shit A3Religion on reping Johnny and the East Coast getting fifth. Tolore good stuff reping Baiken. I'll see you again some tourney, and we'll have to play a mirror. Hellmonkey: I've never met you in person, but I want to congratulate you on finishing in the money. Sucks that you got interrupted by EVO staff. Tae Seong Kim, I will fight you again someday to get my revenge for knocking me out of EVO last year. Wuku: I don't think I've played you before, but I remember you made top 8 last year. Congrats on first. Anyone know how many people entered GGAC?
